I've currently leveled up Tratzul to level 7, and I was thinking about what pets I could get for my hunter. (I do have another hunter, Wispquill, who is level 55.)
I thought up 2 ideas for the pets:
Diet: Meat or Fish
Color Theme: Gray, Gray-blue, or white
Pet Preferences: I love bears, and I know of the gray ones in Hilsbrad. I like wolves too, but I don't want them, do to almost everyone else has one... @.@
Can anyone come up with any suggestions for any pets?
[Note] Tratzul is a Troll Hunter, so I'm not going into Ally territory... <.<'

Aww, but trekking into Ally territory is so much fun!
For a quick summary, go here, though the list doesn't show all of the available greyish skins, and the pets might not have the diet you're looking for.
If you don't want a wolf, raptors are another great DPS pet to go for instead. I suggest this guy. The easiest way to get this skin is to go inside of the cave before the Wailing Caverns. He's a bit tougher to find, as he stealths, but it's better than waiting for the rare elite Takk the Leaper to spawn.
If you want a cat, the Twilight Runners in Stonetalon would probably suit your tastes.
For a tenacity pet, the bear would be a very good choice, but if you feel like something different, why not go for some turtles? Or a boar?
If you're looking for something really different, maybe a carrion bird, crab, or crocolisk would appeal to you!
If you're going exotic, these fellows might catch your interest.
And hey, if you take a look in the Gallery of Pets, you might see something I didn't mention. It's definitely worth taking a look.
By the way, not all of these guys will be available right away. But hey, it's nice to have something to look forward to as you level!

You could go for the white lion. Its fairly rare. There are diseased bears of that color too that are rare at least on my server. For my horde hunter when he was starting out i went all the way to the dreani starting zone for the ravagers there. Though they didn't have boat guards then.
