I just want to ask, trying not to derail the read, as the Molten Front was just mentioned; how do you get the quest for it? I can't find it Ally side.

I wish you luck in TLPD camping! I gave up after about 16 hour camps for a week.... made me sad to know he spawned a few hours after i quit my camping I ran into 11 Vyragosa's when i called it quits. He'll spawn eventually, keep hoping!!!

^you need to do the quest lines in Mount Hyjal that have you save Goldrinn, Aviana, Tortolla, and Aessina (the 4 demigods that help you reclaim hyjal from the twilights hammer), and you need to go to the Call to Arms board in Stormwind to get the quest that leads to Thrall in Noldrassil. Once you've completed all those quests, the quest where Thrall's being is torn apart, you will then be directed in two different directions. Help Aggra save Thrall is one of them and going to the Sanctuary of Malorne is the other, the one that makes you go to the Sanctuary is where you start the dailies and the Thrall quest line has a pretty cape reward at the end.

5AM. No sign of Vyra/TLPD. Ran into Dikree about 5 minutes ago. I have a good feeling that he'll be up soon...or she if Vyra

Thanks for the well wishes, guys!(: And Meep, the spawn timer is shorter now. I believe it's 3-6 hours instead of 6-24.

3-6 hours for the respawn time you mean ? No, its maximum time is much longer than that still. The minimum time is shorter now though, it's more like 4-24 hours, although under 1 hour has been reported. I think killing other rares in Northrend helps that timer to be closer to the lower end, but obv. try and get someone else to do it rather than doing it yourself (in case you miss the spawn).

Just logged in myself, gotta do Molten Front dailies, then more camping. And that's good the respawn timer is shorter, but since I am on one of the highest populated pvp realms, it might be longer >->

The myth about killing rares has been disproved multiple times.(: There's never been any definitive proof about it being true.

Either way, the timer is still a lot shorter. And the maximum timer was reduced, too. I know it's no longer 24 hours. I can't find the patch notes where it was mentioned, but it was. Either way, I've been seeing Vyra pretty consistently.

As far as I know the spawn time maximum is not any lower than it was in Wrath. And people have found a correlation between killing other rares and the shortening (not forced spawns mind you) of the spawn timers (I'm talking like 18 hours down to 8 hours rather than making it really short like 2 hours). It's not 100% definatively true, but there is evidence and I see no reason not to try it out. I've camped it with others for 14 days in a row, and I can say that there's a 90% chance we didn't miss a spawn when we were both online (I camp the Frozen Lake and the other guy did patrols), however alot of the time I was by myself so I did likely miss some then. I've seen timers all over the place, from 6:15 (shortest) to over 21 hours (although it's possible I missed a spawn). It commonly seems to be between 8-18 hours, sometimes slightly more, very rarely slightly less. In those 14 days I have documented 20 spawns, 1 of which has been Time-Lost, and a second was a sketchy report of a Time-Lost. Everything else I either killed, my friend killed or one of us saw the corpse.

Every three hours ? Are you serious ? That's insane. There's usually a fair amount of people in Storm Peaks in the peak times (5-7), and the fact I have one spawn point capped at all times should mean I will likely see at least one every day at my spot (in the week I usually sit for maybe 14 hours ?), and other people I share timers with also don't report anywhere near that number (they usually patrol so would see any corpses). If it really is three hours, I want to by a transfer to your realm. Ideally I'd run 4 accounts and camp each spot (that way I'd never miss a spawn) but I can't afford to do that.

That theory has been debunked multiple times by people who have actually provided proof instead of what all of the other places have done, which was to simply say that they found proof that it was true and never actually show us that proof. They simply wanted us to take them for their word. Unless you have the script of coding in the programming that makes this happen and can show it and explain it to me and that same piece of code can stand up to people I personally know who code, I will not believe it. And neither should anyone else. It is a superstition, pure and simple. It is crap. It needs to be put to rest.

It's like how people are still saying that the Sambas drops the lion mount Madexx drops the scorpion mount. This is no more true than those ever were.

And yes, we've been seeing her every three hours or so. There's only about two people each side in Storm Peaks at any given time on my server. On yours, it's far more likely that people are killing it along the path and not reporting it.

Where is the proof these people have posted ? I'd be interested to see it and how they disproved it. And they could well be killing it on-route but barring some really poor luck I'd expect to see it at least once, maybe twice, in a 17 hour camp session, if the respawn was 3 hours.

It was actually debunked on these forums themselves. One of our members flew around Northrend and counted sixteen rares up at once. I myself have seen more rares than I know what to do with at one time. Beyond that, no one has ever proved that theory is correct. Many have claimed that they've proved it, such as the tlpdresource website, but the did not provide their proof.

Believe it if you want, I don't care. It's a waste of your time, not mine. But keep superstitions out of my thread.

Well saying sixteen rares are up on one flyby is perfectly reasonable (as if they were getting killed on the way round they could be popping up ahead on the flight path). Unless you actually sit on the spawns there's no way to tell (and the logistics of doing that are absurd, so I agree it likely hasn't been proved true). Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it is true for sure, but surely all the finding of 16 rares on a flyby is just another person claiming to disprove it. I would like a link to that thread though, I am still undecided on the truth (though it doesn't cost anything to ask my guildies to go on a quick flyround, they still get loot and achievement credit), but I would have thought anything to ease the tedium of camping the Time-Lost would be worth looking into more than this.

Anyway, maybe I am just being really unlucky, or your server has been really lucky and has seen many fast respawns in a short period of time. I'm not meaning to start an argument but I see no reason why we can't have a civil discussion on the subject in this thread (as it is related to the Time-Lost).

The reason we can't have a civil discussion about this in my thread is because that theory is one of my few pet peeves. I don't like losing my temper and this topic is one of the few things that insures I will. You're welcome to discuss it with other people in other places, but discussing it with me is a horrible idea. I like to be the upstanding person, the one who never resorts to arguments and threats. I don't like being irritable. I've tried very hard to be a person people can come to to talk about all sorts of things, the person people can bring their drama to and rant to. If we continue with this discussion, I will end up irritable and drama may ensue. I don't want that. So please, just take that theory out of here. Find a way to actually prove it, pull the string of coding that causes such an anomaly out of the programming. Just don't talk about it with me.

And I do think you've just been incredibly unlucky. Meep and I have both been seeing things often on two different servers. As I said, people are probably just killing them. And don't forget, while TLPD can't be skinned, Vyra can.

8:10, Watching the day after tomorrow, which is the best movie EVAR, got my Wyrmling with me now, And Calamus (Kirix) too. Only I, and a warlock leveling in SP at the moment. That's pretty good for 8:10 on a EST server on a Sunday.
