Getting a pet restored
To get a pet restored, do I leave a spot open in my stable or on hand?

Re: Getting a pet restored
I don't think it matters, as long as you have a free slot somewhere.
Open a ticket and try to give as much information about the pet as you can (when you abandoned it, what it's name was, what type of pet it was, etc) and hopefully the GM can help you out. They can't always restore a pet though, so keep that in mind as a possibility.

I don't think it matters. I had a pet restored when I was <82 (and as such only had Call Pet 4); I made it a point of telling the GM in the ticket that I had an empty stable slot, but the pet still got restored to my nonexistent 5th active slot rather than my stables.
You may get asked to log a different character for a bit if you're online on the hunter when the GM gets to your ticket, by the way. (Or at least I did.)
