Nerine! :D

So I figured I would post a thread of my own kitty. <3

Meet Princess Nerine F. Kittenface. ^^; She's named after Nerine from an anime called Shuffle.

I got her from a woman who found her and her siblings abandoned in an alley. She was really sick when I got her, and she was close to dying when the woman found her. D: Luckily, they found the kittens just in time, and she's now healthy. :3 She'll be three years old this October. (:

You'll probably be able to tell that she looks like a little troublemaker. She learned how to open doors and cabinets when she was a kitten, and she loves playing in boxes. ^^; She's also very talkative, and she's almost ALWAYS purring. <3 She actually plays fetch better than any dog I've ever seen.

SOOOOO CUUUUTE (These two are my fav pics lol) I saw a couple kittens that looked just like her at the pet store today when i was job hunting and i was squeeeeeeeing like a shale spider so damn cute they were <3 You have my absolute favorite ever domesticated cat, i loooove these guys, what breed is it in particular? Is it just an alternate pattern for calico cats? I want to cuddle her sooo much right now and feed her cat treats and watch her chase after a tennis ball (if she chases after things that big)

@Vephriel;; Thank you. :3 The woman I got her from showed me her picture and I fell in love with her immediately. <3

@Xakaal;; Thank youu! ^^ She's actually a mix, but her fur is Tortoiseshell, which is sort of like a Calico cat without white in their fur. Oddly enough these were her siblings:



She was definitely the runt of the litter (which is funny, since now she's big<3) and I have no idea how they all ended up with such different fur. xD

She won't chase after huge things like Tennis Balls, but she'll run after toy mice and such and brings them back to me in her mouth. She has one toy in particular that makes chirping noises that she'll carry in her mouth while meowing at the top of her lungs. xD She's always bringing me toys and dropping them at my feet. <3

We also have a mouse on a string hanging from one of the bedroom doors, which she'll pull until the string won't stretch anymore, and then let it go. We're on the sixth one now because she keeps breaking them. XD

I used to have videos of her as a kitten, but they were taken on a crappy cell phone that broke before I got a chance to get them onto my computer.

that is epic (i thought tennis balls cause vulpixen (i think they were the one who made the thread) posted some videos she found on youtube about a kitten going ape at a tennis ball thinking it was evil and scary xD my cat likes hair scrunchies ), i bet at night you here this random loud thump at night and it turns out to be Nerine playing with her little door mouse XDD (the image in my head is soo friggin hilarious rofl)

Hahaha, I can always hear her jumping at the door and then the elastic noise from the string, and she'll start crying if it gets stuck. xD She'll usually get bored and try to bring me another toy, and if she realizes I'm trying to sleep, she'll give up and cuddle up on my pillow with me.

She insists on laying as close to my face as humanely possible, and since I love her, she usually ends up taking up the entire pillow. XD<3

I only use the very bottom corners of my pillow, my cat used to sleep on my legs and occasionally sleep by my head (when he was younger) but now he sleeps on my computer chair, which i dont complain about but it makes me miss him lol, he always gives me the morning rant though for not waking up and giving him cuddles when he decided to get up xD

Before I moved out, my dog (who still lives with my Grandma) would sleep on my bed also. So it was Nerine stealing my pillow, and my dog laying down by my legs, somehow managing to push me all the way over to one end of the bed. xD

I still have no idea how a 9 pound cat and an 11 pound dog were able to take up my whole bed. xD

hehehe, i have no idea what weight is appropriate for adult cats-- i think at Lucky's latest checkup he was 17 pounds, dunno if thats a healthy weight or if it was a totally different weight and im just thinking 17 rofl (im a space brain xD), i just know he was at a healthy weight and he, he alone will take up the entire bed rofl, what he does is he sleeps directly in the middle, i move to one side and he gets up and moves closer to my legs, i move away for space, and he moves closer... ends up with me squished against the wall or about ready to fall off the bed

Hahahaha, that's exactly what Nerine does. I'll move my head over a little so I don't have cat fur right in my face, and she moves over to cuddle closer. xD

Sometimes she's so stubborn that I end up having to grab another pillow, but she usually follows me. :3

XD My bf's cat Clyde does that, but mostly he'll take up the pillow that isnt being used and then when he wakes up, gives you this big good-morning headbutt, which sometimes can hurt a bit and is startling rofl, he also needs a looot of attention, he needs constant cuddles and scratches or he'll bite you, but if you leave him alone long enough he'll go do his own thing but the second you start petting him, it falls back to either you give him cuddles or he starts biting again (its not hard bites, but his teeth are sharp so you still feel the pricks from his canine teeth)

That's kind of how Nerine is. She gets fussy, but it's really cute. xD She'll sit on my mousepad when I'm on the computer and nudge against me, and if I don't pet her and give her attention, she'll bite at my hand like "LOOK AT MEEEE!" She doesn't mean to hurt, but her teeth are really sharp too. xD
