Banny! NO! *cry*

Damn, at 2am Banny decided to spawn. Since i already have him, started to find a home for him, no hunters in Molten Front, no Hunters in Hyjal, no Hunters in my Guild, fml!. I was desperate to find a home for the beautiful Banny, cause there were some hordes around him, and i was whispering almost to every hunter 85

While i was flying around him, a mage appeared:

[02:20:35] [W To] [85:*Mage*]: have it (: thanks
[02:20:46] [W From] [85:*Mage*]: cool

I just kept asking hunters, suddenly i saw the Mage with low health, i didnt payed attention to that.
Then the mage, who was flying high, pulled Ban'thalos, slow fall, and started to kill him, i just whisper him:
[02:26:52] [W To] [85:*Mage*]: hey, dont do that! T_T

While he continues, i just cheer Banny, hoping that he dont get killed, BUT, that mage killed birdie u.u
Angry, i just whispered him:
[02:27:25] [W To] [85:*Mage*]: congratulations on a gray item
He just looted, and flew away

and like 5mins later, an ally hunter appeared, flew a little high, then went to Ankha/Magria spawn points, and he left to Molten Front. I guess he was looking for Banny, damn.
Gah, im tired of these stupid peeps...

I'm so tired of seeing rares get killed. I don't even do Hyjal/Molten Front dailies because I get so frustrated seeing people kill them just to be rude. =/

Why can't they just make the rare spawns like banny, deth skarr and karkin who is obviously dedicated to hunters becuase they only drop those damn tears who should be worth 1cp instead of 25g... MAKE THEM close to impossible against other classes than hunters

To be fair, if no hunter is there to tame the rare spawn, it's fair game. I understand your frustration, but the mage did absolutely nothing wrong. In fact, he went out of his way to make sure the hunter who was in the vicinity wasn't looking to tame and offered to help with the tame!!

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but we have a thread for this sort of thing already and I think this story can fit despite you not being primary victim here - Banny was - I think the community would be able to console you a little better over there.

I'm sorry to hear he couldn't be rehomed in time, though I'm inclined to agree with Sarayana and say the mage didn't really do anything wrong - at the same time though, it does suck.

I also believe we have had threads discussing the whole 'should challenge tames be killable' thing and they have never, to my knowledge, ended neatly - you all are welcome to discuss it, of course, just remember a lot of people feel very strongly about the situation.

And Ban totally fires his lazors regardless. You know how hard that moonfire hits? :P

There's a thread for our sob stories now, but I agree. I hate seeing Banny dead too, especially to morons. I paid an ally pally 50g to not kill Skarr yesterday. He had already died once to Skarr, so in the end he got maybe 20g from me counting his repairs. I like, paid his repairs, thats it. Some happy hunter from my channel comes and tames Skarr. /cheer

The pally was truly ignorant though. He did not know Skarr only dropped a 25g grey item and when I told him he was embarassed. Not enough to not take my offered 50g, but still, he left Skarr alone and left him for hunters. He thought Skarr was an achievement mob or a mob that dropped great loot. Glad I could make that TWO less ignorant people on my server.

Doesn't Ban do a rather high amount of damage? Like, 30k/sec for 4 sec or something? How are people killing him?

Mages also do high damage, and Ban does not have a lot of health. A fairly geared mage could take him down real quick.

Actually, he used the summon images thing, and Banny killed the images, not him. He was with around 4% life when Banny died

Banny always get it on my sever too. I have witnessed his Death 3 times 2 of those by Mages and the 3rd by a very rude DK. It is sad that people just feel they got to kill the new Rares

He's got what, close to 400k? I guess that isn't a terribly large amount, but I'm still surprised he gets killed.

( I saw him at like, 4am or so, I had left my huner there, logged in and went "Whoa, what flying mount is tha.... lulzbanny." /who yielded an 82 DK and an 84 shaman, so no one was even there to try, lol.)

I've never seen him dead, or in the process of being killed. I'm really really intrigued. And am now a firm believer that simply gifting "Nerfbat" to all unique rares would make everyone's life a little easier.
