It's crazy how pets know.

Back during my hell of an unsuccessful Karkin camp, I saw Skitterflame three times. First time, he was tamed by a human hunter who gave him a horrible name, which made my angry, but I was too tired to try reporting it. Second and third times, he ended up dead. Even so, seeing him and Kirix as many times as I did kept my spirits up since I never saw either during my all-nighter for Skarr. I was sad about what happened to Skitterflame, but then I never gave it a second thought until tonight when I saw him yet again. Miraculously, he went untouched even though there were still a good number of people in the zone, which I found amazing after what happened to the poor guy before. My good friend Brawne and I were waiting for Karkin, because I still want to keep trying for him, and I felt confident about going to the Front again even after what happened before. And, as always, it was Skarr that spawned. @_@ Brawne managed to tame him this time and during all this, Skitterflame was still there and untouched.

It then started occurring to me that even though I didn't really want him since I wanted Solix instead (even though both their mechanics scare me to death) that since I'd seen Skitters four times and Solix none, that Skitterflame must've wanted to go home with me, so I decided that I'd give it a shot. After reading the strat here while Brawne looked up a taming vid on YouTube for me, I slapped together an impromptu taming bar and after trying to keep my already sizzled brain from frying anymore, I tried... and promptly almost got my butt handed to me even before he hit the second freeze trap. Yay me.

After the second try, I started to get the hang of it with Brawne helping, but Skitters kept getting too close to me so I'd have to feign and reset him so he wouldn't keel over and die. x_x Another hunter friend of mine logged on, and I had no clue he was in the Front, so he proceeded to scare the living daylights out of me when he jumped down while I was waiting for my traps to cool down. He stuck around and helped keep the fire hawks and elementals dead while I kept trying and I can't remember if it was the fifth or sixth try, but when Deterrance wore off and Skitters was still smacking me, I held my breath as I watched his energy tick down... and then he shrank and walked to my side. During all this, I'm still surprised that nobody but a night elf mage who left Skitterflame alone, came through this part of Fireplume Peak.

I'm still surprised that with how badly my nerves tend to fray and with how badly I tend to bork on some tames that Skitters didn't die and, unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of the tame. I had the perfect name for him: Jerrod, the late king of Edenia and Queen Sindel's husband. I may or may not try for Solix on an alt, I'm not sure yet, but Toph's got all the spiders that were meant for her and I'm happy with that. I've never felt this content since at the beginning of the month when Ankha, Skarr, Deth'tilac, and Toph's cinderweb broodling all came home.

Now I know who my third favorite rare lava spider actually is. *hugs Skitterflame* <3

Thanks, Kalli! I find it ironic how you originally wanted Skitterflame but was chosen by Solix and the exact opposite happened to me. XD I also wanna apologize for hopping on then hopping back off suddenly. I thought it was time for one of the tigers to spawn, but I still have a while. >_> Lack of sleep does that. ^_^;

@Kalli - They sure do. @_@ Believe me, I feel/ so much better/ about Skitters dying twice before since I didn't give taming him a try till now. Hehe, yeah, funny thing is that I'm wide awake even though I was up all night.

@Jessi - Again, thanks to you and everybody else on Moon Guard! I'll get back to playing Rhilla one of these days so I can finally meet everybody.

The funny thing is how it all started. A friend of mine (who knows the hunter I gave Kirix up to a few days back and I helped her tame Deth the previous night) thought Karkin was up so Brawne and I were both like O_O *mad rush to the Front* and it turned out to be an NPC_Scan false alarm. XD My friend felt bad about it but I told her it was okay. Sadly, she had to go before Skitters and Skarr spawned so she missed out on all the chaos.

My friend thought Skarr spawned and it was actually just my Skarr that was out. I was like "Woops! That was me....sorry!"

You shooould. I got like a crapton of hunters on my real ID. XD So its like a hunter message board!

Yeah, I know how it is. @_@ I try to be careful with my rares. Earlier this morning, when I first got to the Front, I accidentally summoned Sindel (my Deth'tilac) when an elemental attacked me, and after I killed it I was like "Crap! *dismiss, switch to Hawkbane*"

Hehe, I'll get back to playing her when I'm done getting the planned rares for Toph, providing they show up/give me another chance. I also have a hunter on Horde-side over there I need to level, too.

Sometimes I try not to. Other times I dont give a damn. I'm doing my dailies, I'll use whatever I feel like but I try to stay away from the spawn points if I do.

I can be like that, too, sometimes especially whenever I'm in a foul mood. If I know a pet I have will make me feel better when I have it out, then I'll use it, but I too try to stay away from spawnpoints.

It's why, while annoying, I dont chastise other hunters for using Skarr during their dailies.
