Henry and Vicious

Unread post by Zhele »

I know no one really cares about those non-rares. But I love my Henry, just the same. Vicious is precious. I don't know if I could ever play without them, or my other lovelies.

And getting to tame that purple and blue raptor is what keeps me grinding through dungeons for levels when the quests are even more boring.

Pardon the horrible graphics, I play on a $250 laptop :x

Aww, they're wonderful! Personally, I find it far more enjoyable to look at a stable filled with non-rares. Too many hunters seem to have carbon copy pets, the homogeneity is a little boring. Usually a varied stable full of 'commons' has a lot more character and personality. ^^

I absolutely care about non-rares, and Vicious is precious. <3 I have that very warp stalker on my troll, despite the new and shiny warpies. It's so charming!

Agreed with Veph! My two main pets are Gwyn, a ghost saber, and Eirwyn, a blueish white fox. It doesn't matter if your pets are rare or not, so long as you love them!(:

Your pets are wonderful!

I care about non rares too, sure my stables are full of rares but it just so happens that I like them. Not cause they are rare but because I like the skin. I do have a bit of old world rares that I love no matter what. If blizzard made them common I wouldn't care.

C: Thank you, you guys. I saw the forum full of rare posts and went D:?? and hugged my poor Henry. I love his brown fur (nice break from the greys (white/grey/black) of the others, in my opinion), and his cute orange eyes.

I have a golden WotLK-style carrion bird, named Frank, and I get so many compliments on him whenever he's in play. Both on model and giggling at his name.

One of my gag pets, that I don't have a screen shot of with me with him, is Gaston, the manliest sparkly blue moth there ever was. And Gaston pronounced french-like, "Gaston". I think pronouncing it the french way makes it about a thousand times more amusing. <3

Rare is common and common is rare in the hunter pet world. I rather have a bunch of "common" pets since they are rare to see tamed, while rare spawn pets with unique skins are common to see tamed.

I have the same warp stalker too. Hira was my tank pet all through wrath. Once his ability became fairly useless for tanking in cata I just couldn't find myself the heart to release him. Too many good memories with him.

Speaking on them changing abilities, I actually used to use a hyena for Vicious' ability. But they changed it to a bleed-increase, so that's when I discovered my new love, the warp stalker. I like how he's a tank, too, because it makes him even more annoying. He's nipping at their heels and they have to try pretty hard to kill him. c: It melts my ickle wee heart

My favorite pet is ShaleDun, my common plain brown beetle. I'm just not into the flashy pets, doesn't seem like they would be good for actual hunting, you know?

I was excited to see a post from someone who has a warp stalker that they love. I've never tried one at all, and I think reading this is the kick in the pants I need to go tame a blue one now! Love your blue moth's name, btw, and definitely agree about the pronunciation :D

Exactly this. I LOVE threads that show nice, "normal" pets, because as Veph said, they show so much more of the hunter's/your personality.

That screenie of Vicious has made me reconsider that particular Warpie. I love the family, and have all the other colours, but this one never really stood out. It looks great here though! And Henry is the same skin as my main's beloved Septic, a wolf that wheedled its' way into my heart despite me not actually liking the model. :D

It got to the point, in one battle ground, that the other team just was like EFF IT and started killing my pet and not bothering with me because they got so sick of him chasing them. xD I haven't been able to play in a while, but I hear they removed the aggressive stance. Which means he won't bite rogues before they bite me, doesn't it? It's too bad. He was a rogue's worst enemy.

Gaston is my baby. I need to find a use for him more often.

Oh I know, right? Some of the pets, I can't imagine seeing them being used for hunting. (Case in point, my shiny blue moth Gaston :x)

What caught my eye with him was his tail. It's really in pretty contrast to his body xD

I've always tamed what I thought looked good with my characters and what suited their personalities, so I have a weird mix of things that took three seconds to get and weeks of camping to get, and by the time they've been my stable a bit I really don't even think about it they were rare or not.

I adore warp stalkers. There is just something so adorable about the way they sort of fidget when idle <3

I absolutely love that warp stalker! Shame on me for not remembering if it was Xiela or Dévi who had him. Pretty certain it's Xie since it would fit her colour scheme more than Devi.. but, that skin is seriously the prettiest warp stalker skin there is :)
