And getting to tame that purple and blue raptor is what keeps me grinding through dungeons for levels when the quests are even more boring.

Pardon the horrible graphics, I play on a $250 laptop :x

A rare visitor to this forum now that I don't play WoW anymore, but forever a Petopian.
Speaking on them changing abilities, I actually used to use a hyena for Vicious' ability. But they changed it to a bleed-increase, so that's when I discovered my new love, the warp stalker. I like how he's a tank, too, because it makes him even more annoying. He's nipping at their heels and they have to try pretty hard to kill him. c: It melts my ickle wee heartWassa wrote:Rare is common and common is rare in the hunter pet world. I rather have a bunch of "common" pets since they are rare to see tamed, while rare spawn pets with unique skins are common to see tamed.
I have the same warp stalker too. Hira was my tank pet all through wrath. Once his ability became fairly useless for tanking in cata I just couldn't find myself the heart to release him. Too many good memories with him.
Exactly this. I LOVE threads that show nice, "normal" pets, because as Veph said, they show so much more of the hunter's/your personality.Vephriel wrote:Aww, they're wonderful! Personally, I find it far more enjoyable to look at a stable filled with non-rares. Too many hunters seem to have carbon copy pets, the homogeneity is a little boring. Usually a varied stable full of 'commons' has a lot more character and personality. ^^
It got to the point, in one battle ground, that the other team just was like EFF IT and started killing my pet and not bothering with me because they got so sick of him chasing them. xD I haven't been able to play in a while, but I hear they removed the aggressive stance. Which means he won't bite rogues before they bite me, doesn't it? It's too bad. He was a rogue's worst enemy.Swampfox wrote:I was excited to see a post from someone who has a warp stalker that they love. I've never tried one at all, and I think reading this is the kick in the pants I need to go tame a blue one now! Love your blue moth's name, btw, and definitely agree about the pronunciation :D
Oh I know, right? Some of the pets, I can't imagine seeing them being used for hunting. (Case in point, my shiny blue moth Gaston :x)GormanGhaste wrote:My favorite pet is ShaleDun, my common plain brown beetle. I'm just not into the flashy pets, doesn't seem like they would be good for actual hunting, you know?
What caught my eye with him was his tail. It's really in pretty contrast to his body xDMozag wrote:That screenie of Vicious has made me reconsider that particular Warpie. I love the family, and have all the other colours, but this one never really stood out. It looks great here though!
