Zui's first Tarantula (Moar pics.)

Eee, I'm so excited! I was planning on getting a scorpion instead but I just fell in love with these spiderlings at the store, I had previously researched pink toes excessively so I knew I was prepared. ^_^

I still need a name for him though! (I'm just calling it a him until it can be sexed. xD)

He's an Antilles Pink Toe, or a Avicularia versicolor

He was only 21.99, which seemed cheap to me but I can't be sure as I'm not really into the tarantula buisness. xP

Moved him (carefully) into a taller deli cup, the one he was in was just much too short for web building and climbing. He was munchin' on a dead pinhead cricket earlier. ^_^

Eee, I just love spiders. The wittle baby tarantulas are the cutest things ever.

I have a rosehair named Shelob, but she was already an adult when I rescued her, so the next tarantula I get will definitely start as a baby.

I'm already thinking of getting another one! I just adore him.
I was thinking of starting off with an adult, less fragile and all, but I heard that the antilles pinktoe specifically is a very rewarding species to raise as a spiderling, so we'll see ^_^
I'll probably post a picture or two every couple months to see how much he grows/changes colour.
