Re: The Consolation Corner
Ya know.. I had only thought I had seen pure douche baggery "dead a lot" (aka deth) pop spot, but tonight takes the absolute cake...
I find Deth yet again.. that spider loves to taunt me, (I swear to God, I have seen him at least 8 times..).. ok so an alliance friend shows up to help me, and on par with my usual noobness I died. No big deal. We heal up and are about to start again when a guy from my friend's guild shows up.. now these are alliance people so I really can't talk to them, as me and my friend talk through bnet.
The other hunter pulls a spider out and attacks Deth and I ask my friend what's going on. He says "put your pet away and just wait" so.. I assume since they are guildies that they are going to make life easy for me and just let me be ready for the tame. Deth gets tameable health range.... and my friend says "now!" so I start trying to tame.. and try and try and try.. the other guy won't let go of Deth, won't feign and keeps shooting him. Next thing I know, he tames Deth.. OK that hurt a little, but what I saw next REALLY hurt.. he SPIT on me.. THEN turns around and SPITS on his own guildie and makes a "rude gester", then logs off...
Yeah.. he wanted a pet so bad that he was willing to stab his own guildie in the back to get it..
Obviously my friend immediately dropped that guild. I feel bad though. I hate to feel like I came between guild members.
I wasn't so much mad that I didn't get Deth, (I'm not really a spider fan), and after past experiences had resolved myself to not having him anyway. He'd only be a trophy pet anyway that would never get used. My trusty Silvertearz (AKA anhka) never leaves my side.
BUT.. to see this guy do that to his own guildie.. made me sick.
All I have to say to that shameless hunter is.. karma.
I lost a cool looking pet.. but I can live with myself knowing that despite this guy being a jacka**.. I did not, and will not kill a hunter pet, nor did I interfere with his tame once I saw it was a lost cause.

Re: The Consolation Corner
I just watched Skitterflame died to a DK and his army of the dead. I told him it only drops 25g, so he must be really hard on for gold! Either that, or he's just a dickhead. I'm betting on the latter. A nearby dwarf hunter was /begging /pleading with the DK to not kill Skitter, but no, the DK was having none of it. He REALLY NEEDED that 25g drop. I hate defending alliance, but this guy really wanted Skitter and a fellow orc was murdering him for what I'm betting is just shits n giggles.

Part of Dynasty, lvl 25 Alliance guild, casual and hardcore (your choice, no one forces you to raid, but you can), very helpful

Re: The Consolation Corner
I was helping a horde hunter get Deth. A DK killed Deth but it was an accident. He thought the health had to get lower. Fine and dandy, no big deal. I told him the dealio for next time.
what pisses me off was there was a dwarf hunter spamming Tame Beast cause he didnt want the horde to get him. When Deth died, he LOLed.

Red Madexx offered me Loyalty, and I couldn't take it at 83 ( ._.)
Also, my Green terokkar moth finally lost it's aura today when it died, I'd completely forgotten, should I be worried about my flaming boar?

It doesn't. Use at your own risk.Jessibelle wrote:No the flaming boar keeps it I think.Arkenox wrote:Red Madexx offered me Loyalty, and I couldn't take it at 83 ( ._.)

My mistake; thought it was still one of the buffs that was lost. Carry on!

Re: The Consolation Corner
When was the boar fixed? as I recall the initial hotfix made the tame undoable, but the flames were permanent then. I tested it on Gamon at the time, was he fixed later?Kalliope wrote:It doesn't. My friend said that when he talked to the guild officers and GM about it, all they said was "eh {name of person omitted} is just an a**, that's pretty typical for him."Jessibelle wrote:Wooooow. Apparently, that particular member has been put on ignore by several other members.
That is part of why he dropped the guild was because they put up with this guy who a lot of people don't like, he's a known trouble maker.. and it seems to just all fine and dandy.
My friend is an alliance player who went out of his way to help a horde hunter(me). We don't know each other in real life, we met through bnet. That tells me the integrity of this person, and to be treated so poorly by a guild member made me ill.
I could not sleep last night I was so upset about it.
If any member of my guild ever treated a fellow guildie or another player like that, I would kick them immediately and warn other GM's.

Yeah if someone like that EVER got into my guild or my raiding guild, you better believe they'll get gkicked without hesitation. That is not acceptable behavior. He'd be put on wowjackass and be warned about to everyone I meet.

Re: The Consolation Corner
I personally think they should remove the spiting emote... unless its on the ground or like maybe some really appropriate RP reason, its always abused and very tacky, not to mention hurtful.
I've spit on the ground a few times, but on a player? Just not cool.
*gently pats ahnalia on the head* All I can say is Karma, it will bite him in the butt at some point.

Re: The Consolation Corner
Not wanting to derail the consolation, but does sword wolf keep his sword after he dies? I rarely use him in battle, so he likely hasn't died lately.

As much as I would -love- for them to take the emote out of the game I highly doubt it will ever happen. =/ They would be forced to take out every single "Offending" emote or action they could.Serenith wrote:I personally think they should remove the spiting emote... unless its on the ground or like maybe some really appropriate RP reason, its always abused and very tacky, not to mention hurtful.![]()

Could you image them taking out the sitting action on all players just to keep people from "tea-bagging" other players?

Ive used him plenty on my lowbie horde, so far he's died numerous times and hasnt lost the buff yet.Sarantha wrote:Not wanting to derail the consolation, but does sword wolf keep his sword after he dies? I rarely use him in battle, so he likely hasn't died lately.

Cool. I wouldn't call a sword in the head a BUFF though, maybe debuff. Haha.

Re: The Consolation Corner
Very true, its just my wishful thinking. I've never really seen that emote used with taste when not used for RP. So I just think it sucks to have it. And to me, the "tea-bagging" isn't as hurtful as being spit on. I've had both happen to me before and I was more upset about the spitting one. But thats just me.Mychelle wrote: As much as I would -love- for them to take the emote out of the game I highly doubt it will ever happen. =/ They would be forced to take out every single "Offending" emote or action they could.

Back on topic, I saw banny dead today with 3 hunters crying next to him. I was sad also. :C
Re: The Consolation Corner
It came to mind for me...I think the one thing that "sorta" upsets me in a kind of funny-ish way is when an Undead uses their Cannibalize ability on you after they've killed you. As far back as I remember, whenever Ive been "nom'ed" on by an Undead after being killed, its always like "Oh he just didnt...." lol Om'nomnomnom.Serenith wrote:Very true, its just my wishful thinking.
