Signatures By Serenith!! [CURRENTLY CLOSED-BUT NOT FOREVER]

I have yet another question to ask you Serenith!

This probably sounds really nooby but I swear I've had a look around and just can't figure it out. How do you get names on signatures to fill with different colour shades? For example, your new Serenith one is mostly yellow but fades slightly to a nice pink at the bottom. I've no clue how you do that. Please tell!

@Nili- Since you already have gotten a siggy from me you would have been bumped to the bottom of my list. That was my terms this time, since last time I opened there were a couple people that requested more, but I knew this time around there was a decent sized group that hadn't got one from me before yet, so I was trying to be fair. I can still make one for you after those 8 people gave gotten theirs, but seeing as their are 8 names ahead of you it may not happen till next week. PM me your new request, that way I don't forget. But like I said, I won't be able to get to it for a week or so if I estimated my abilities correctly.

@Kuraine- Yeah, its is like a gradient feature, as Jessibelle said. I don't often use gradients though (rarely) because I prefer patterns. What you see in that siggy with the yellow going to pink mis a pattern. I have quite a few patterns downloaded. And my method is simple because when I write the text I add the pattern to it in the layers blending options, same place I find drop shadows/outer+inner glow/gradients/strokes. To me, using patterns/gradients always makes it look nicer than a solid color (Unless the font is too detailed, in which case this overdoes it). But thats my opinion.

Okay, you make nine then. You need a better one than the one I originally made you anyways. It was too simple, I can do much better now (It was the first one I did for the fourms anyways so I don't count it) .

Okay, so I worked something up for Veph. So here is the siggy and matching avatar.

I focused on the green/purple/black theme. Hope its not too dark... on my computer its dark but not terribly dark, but I don't know how the images I make transfer from computer to computer. The background is a purplish path I think in Silverpine Forest. I'm not sure how well it worked out overall. I threw in some "bats" for an extra gothic feel (yeah, I know they are birds darnit, but I have seen bats swarm in the millions, and in the air they kinda look like that, so I am gonna call those things in the siggy bats =P) ...Also tried to get Veph to lean on Skorn, not sure how successful that pose was though. I believe I got Skorn's coloring right too. Oh and I tried to not be lazy this time and get the flamey legs to work for Sabbath, but its not as noticeable as I hoped, and it mighta made it worse somehow. (If you don't like the sig Veph, I don't mind remaking this. I did try a few new things after all)

The flames are subtle like that in game too. Personally, for trying new things, you did a wonderful job.

I'm thrilled with it Serenith! I love the colours, the background, everything! The bats are the most adorable thing (and they totally look like bats). Reznor's in one of my favourite poses (I love the looking-up position warpies do when they sniff). Sabbath looks perfect, don't worry at all, I'm never overly concerned about the flames anyways. ^^ Awesome pose for Aleister. And oh my god, I love the leaning into Skorn SO MUCH. His colouring is perfect. *thumbs up* And the avatar is perfect, gah I just love it. Can't thank you enough for the wonderful job! ^_^

How do you give Skron that wonderful gray belly without messing up his other colors? That's is what I like to know! *wants to make siggies as good as everyone else one of these days*

When I make Skorn I just use a Freehand Selection Tool to trace around his belly portion, then I lower the saturation of reds and yellows till they're grey.

Veph told me how to do it by selecting those colors, and then lowering the yellows and reds.

Also, here is just Veph and Skorn... I really like this light post, and it didnt work with the other pets.
