Thank you all. ^_^ And yeah, I stuck this in the RP forums thinking it was better suited here, but I suppose it would fit just as well in the fanart and creative writing forum. XD

Also, I'm not revealing what happens to Kaz until it happens. Feel free to guess all you want though. And for anyone who doesn't know, the reference about the orc being married to a draenei is a nod to Magna and Kira's WoW RP characters.

((Well, apparently I turned in the last set of quests I did this for even though in the story I didn't hand them in. >_<
Anyway, reading the other journals made me kind of want to update my own. The updates will probably remain short, but hopefully I'll have more desire to do them.))

Dear Journal,

I returned ta Gail with the gnomish tools, and for once, she wasn't mean ta me. Instead, she apologized for her behavior and tol' me she's mean ta otha girls 'cause she's insecure about 'erself. I stood there in silence while she told me to go meet up with an orc named Thonk. Damned lil goblin kept goin' on and on about Thonk's brown eyes and blah blah. Urgh, noisy lil t'ing. I gave 'er a glare before stalkin' out o' da town and meetin' up wit' Thonk.


I dunno what that lil tramp was goin' on about...Thonk was ugly, even looked a bit cross-eyed. And ta make it worse...'e wanted to know if she said anyt'ing about him. Bleck. After gettin' a glare from me 'e quickly spat out the task 'e needed me ta do: Look for survivors from the flood the Cataclysm caused wit' the Southfury River usin' a spyglass 'e gave me.


Thonk be right, lots o' stuff got messed up in the flood, and some people be stranded. I be 'opin' der be a way to help dem. I reported my findings back to Thonk. Apparently 'e didn't know 'ow to properly use 'is spyglass--'e was puttin' da big end ta 'is eye and not the small end. *sigh*

Next 'e be wantin' me to go 'elp out da people I saw through the spyglass. Kaz'kah let out a mighty roar, causin' both of us to cover our ears. Guess da bugger wants ta go huntin'. Off I am to go 'elp dese people then. Da first person I be meetin' up with is Misha, an older lookin' orc lady livin' on a small farm.


Misha seemed very sad--turns out she was. She tol' me how her son, Kron, had passed on from dis life and how she hadn't wanted to believe that he'd be returning from the hunt until now. To commemorate his memory, she be wantin' me ta go gather a bunch o' crocolisk teeth to make an honorary necklace for his grave. I told 'er I'd be honored ta do such a task for 'er son's memory.

So off Kaz'kah and I went to go kill crocolisks, much to his pleasure.

Thankfully all the rippin' and tearin' dat raptor did wasn't enough to ruin da crocolisks' teeth and I was able to recover all that I needed in short order.

Misha thanked me for gettin' da teeth for 'er and went off immediately to go start craftin' 'er son's necklace--may 'is spirit rest in peace. The neck person I went ta go 'elp was another elderly woman by the name of Grandmatron Tekla.


Tekla said she had been communing with the spirits when da flood happened, and now she needed 'elp out as she was not as physically able as she used to be. With a bow, I told 'er I'd be 'onored to 'elp her out o' dis mess. I made sure Kaz stayed far away from 'er as well in case he thought to 'urt 'er. And so the Grandmatron had me escort 'er ta 'er grandson, Raggaran.

At one point, the Grandmatron called upon the spirits to 'ave us walk across the water so she wouldn't 'ave to swim. I couldn't 'elp but stare at my feet as we walked on top o' da water; it was such a weird feeling. We also stopped for a bit when Tekla 'urt her ankle. Before I could run to 'er side, she had summoned the air spirits to aid 'er and she floated the rest o' da way to Raggaran.

Raggaran was very 'appy to see 'is Grandmatron, especially since he had thought that she 'ad lost most of 'er powers by now. 'E also happened to be da next person I be needin' ta 'elp. Raggaran be needin' me to kill some Quillboar wit' 'im, it be why 'e no be leavin' 'is post even though 'e was asked to. Kaz perked up at the sound o' killin' so I set off right away to complete dis task.


After reportin' to 'im about killin' Quillboar, he started off calm and den freaked out and ordered me to kill more Quillboar. 'Is excitement was only servin' to put Kaz into a frenzy so off I set to go kill more Quillboar.


After reportin' to 'im this time, 'e remained much calmer and told me ta move on before he fell inta a rage again. Shruggin' my shoulders I 'eaded off toward the next person I was ta 'elp--Zen'taji.


Zen'taji said that 'e's been watching what happened after da floods and noticed dat some o' da birds from da Barrens had gotten trapped o'er here on Durotar, and beins dat dey can't fly and are to afraid ta swim, 'e wants me ta try and scare 'em back ta da Barrens. Apparently da best method ta scare em over is ta attack 'em 'til dey run. ...Fel.

Well, it worked. And dey ran away fast enough before Kaz could tear inta dem too badly. Poor little big guys.


Zen'taji was 'appy to 'ear dey 'ad returned ta der 'ome, even though it meant I 'ad to 'urt 'em ta do it. Next 'e told me about 'ow da raptors be survivin' jus' fine through da flood and 'ow one raptor in particular 'ad become rather mean; 'e was killin' animals jus' ta kill 'em and let 'em rot. I frowned at the mention o' dis, setting off to kill Screamlash immediately.

'E was easy ta find, big ol' dark grey raptor wanderin' around the wetlands. Kaz ran off instantly ta go start attackin' 'im before I could even draw my bow. Quickly I drew my weapon and started pepperin' Screamlash wit' arrows and took da big ol' bugger down.


I returned ta Zen'taji and he thanked me for takin' care o' da raptor, tellin' me dat Screamlash wasn't so mean before da Cataclysm had hit. Noddin' ta 'im, I set back off to return ta Thonk. Ugh. Thonk was impressed wit' my work, sayin' 'e 'ad been watchin' me through the spyglass. 'E even asked me 'ow I made Grandmatron fly. Back to Razor Hill I 'eaded, shakin' my 'ead as I did so. I booked it for da inn, my feet be awful tired after all da runnin' around today. Course, I first made sure to chain Kaz up in the stables first. 'Til next time journal.

Dear Journal,

Dis mornin' I was awoken violently by da guards--apparently Kaz has gone berserk in his pen. He managed to some'ow break 'imself free and was runnin' around da town wreakin' 'avoc. I was dragged, 'alf conscious, inta da streets. Kaz didn't even look like the raptor I had adopted anymore; 'e was some sort of insane beast tryin' ta kill anyone and everyone in his path. I couldn't believe my eyes. The guards said that if I wouldn't kill 'im, dey would. And, wit' tears fillin' me eyes, I drew my bow and arrow. I blinked, took a deep breath, and fired. My shot aimed true, landin' right in 'is 'ead, givin' da poor guy a painless death.

Much ta my surprise the guards next focused on me, not wantin' me around da town anymore wit' my bad luck and crazy pets. I knew da routine and 'ow useless it would be to argue so I trudged my way over, tryin' ta 'old back tears, ta da flight master who sent me silently off on a gryphon to Orgrimmar. From der I ushered myself ta one of the zeppelin towers; gettin' looks from dem guards was uncomfortable--word sure does travel fast around here.

I ended up on da zeppelin ta Undercity; home o' da Forsaken. I received no glares or anyt'ing here so I shrugged my shoulders and asked 'ow I could be o' 'elp. I was told ta move forward ta Silverpine and offer my services der.

Da lands der be much different den back 'ome in Durotar.

In a way, der kinda pretty though and da atmosphere is suitin' ta da mood I be in right now anyway.

Holy fel...da Dark Lady 'erself was sittin' der next ta da Grand Executor dat I was ta be reportin' ta.


Mortuus, the Grand Executor, looked at me and said I must be the new recruit. I sure would like ta know 'ow dey send dem messages so fast. Any'ow, 'e kept callin' me Ru'gulanub, sayin' dat's exactly what da paperwork said. Sighin' I nodded and accepted my task, which was ta sit and watch as Warchief Garrosh came ta meet up wit' Sylvanas. I t'ink my eyes might jus' boggle right out o' my 'ead.

Well, da meetin' was quite a sight. Garrosh is an imposin' figure and he and Sylvanas don't seem to see eye ta eye. Sylvanas has found a way to 'elp procreate da Forsaken by usin' the val'kyr--old servants of da Lich King. Garrosh wasn't too 'appy about dis idea; 'e t'inks it makes her no different dan da Lich King. I...I am not sure what ta t'ink...I feel as if I can undastand both sides.

Once the conversation was over, Mortuus tasked me wit' killin' da worgen dat 'ad managed to escape da Horde forces tryin' ta take control o' Gilneas. Two apothecaries also requested my 'elp; one ta collect doomweed fer a plague da Forsaken 'ave been creating (one much weaker dan der Wrathgate one thanks to distrust from the Warchief), and da otha wanted me to get clean beast guts, also ta be used fer da new plague.

As I started ta set out on my journey, I realized I would need a new companion by my side wit' Kaz'kah gone (may 'is soul find rest). 'Opefully da next animal I be bondin' wit won't be tryin' ta bite off people's heads. I was told I could find some o' da worgs I needed ta da east. Soon as I stepped inta da forest, a worg, black as night, came up and nudged me from behind, almost like 'e noticed I looked different from most o' da othas that pass this way. I turned ta face 'im, reachin' out a hand ta try and connect wit' him. I felt da bond form almost immediately, da worg bowin' 'is 'ead ta me. I knew immediately what ta name 'im--Alarion; be meanin' guardian.



I decided ta go ahead and camp out wit' Alarion ta get ta know 'im betta. 'Til next time journal.

Aw, poor Kaz I don't know how you and Azu can kill off your pets, it's sad I had intended to kill Bossa, but felt bad and rewrote it.

Sometimes it's really hard to kill off the pets, sometimes it just happens to fit into the story so well that I can't pass the opportunity up--Ru'gula's case was the latter. I had been planning it since Kaz's creation. The hardest pet I can remember offing was Lahney, Roxíe's yellow scorpid. Plus, Kaz provided a really great reason for me to get out and do a report on Silverpine since we haven't seen a story for there yet.

Dear Journal,

Alarion woke me by stickin' 'is cold, wet nose inta my face and whinin' slightly. Well, dat was certainly a betta way o' wakin' up dan being shook awake by da guards. Once my vision cleared I saw a huge white wolf standin' not far in front of us. Before I could catch myself, I let out a gasp, which caused da wolf ta turn around and leap for me. Alarion jumped at da worg, rippin' and tearin' at it wit' 'is teeth...only, 'e wasn't as cruel as Kaz. I scooted ta my feet and whacked at da t'ing wit my staff; I wasn't coherent enough ta try and use my bow and arrows.

After da fight was over, Alarion nudged my hand. I was a lil startled by dis as Kaz 'ad neva once shown affection. Kinda nice not ta 'ave a pet dat requires me ta watch meh back around. Anyway, we also killed off da local, uninfected bears and worgs. Alarion was even kind enough ta use 'is big canines ta rip der stomachs open so I could get ta der guts. I gave 'im a few pats fer 'is efforts and asked 'im if 'e knew anyt'ing about Doomweed. I didn't expect an answer, but 'e went sniffin' around da ground until 'e found a purplely lookin' plant. I scratched 'im some more and den continued ta gatha more o' da plants.


Tasks complete, I 'eaded back ta da Forsaken High Command and reported ta Mortuus, who still insists on callin' me Ru'gulanub. Givin' 'im a small glare, I returned ta da two apothecaries as well, 'andin' dem each da guts and doomweed. Both were pleased and eager to work on der new strain o' blight, wantin' ta find some test subjects fer it. Only a Forsaken could make a troll shake in der boots. Any'ow, T'veen was pleased wit' 'er new strain, but wouldn't approve it 'til I tested it on a local murloc population by borrowin' a bat from da flight masta and bombin' da creatures from da air. Murlocs are nasty lil buggers, dis should be fun.

Alarion 'ad ta stay be'ind while I was sent up on da back o' a bat. I gave 'im a last pat before da bat took off and flew me o'er ta da isles where da murlocs be livin'. Wit' a cackle I started lobbin' down vials o' plague at 'em. Da strain be workin' nicely, me thinks; dem murlocs sure died awful fast.

When I landed, Alarion was waitin' right der fer me ta come back. When 'e saw me, 'e ran over, tail a waggin' and stickin' 'is nose inta my hand. Still can't believe how much 'e differs from Kaz. T'veen seemed pleased when I reported my results, even sayin' dat she'd put on da label "strong enough ta kill 1000 murlocs." She then shooed me away, sayin' Deathstalker Commander Belmont wanted ta see me. Shruggin' Alarion and I made our way over to 'im.

Belmont tol' me dat Mortuus had been incorrectly usin' da term "nub" wit' my name and dat it really stands for New Undercity Battalion. I like dat a lot betta. After clearin' dat up, 'e tol' me 'bout a scout dat's sposed ta be gleanin' info 'bout da Gilneas Liberation Front, but she 'asn't been seen for a few days so 'e wants me ta go check up on 'er. Alarion sniffed somethin' that belonged ta 'er and took off ta go find 'er.


Eh? Ya mean ta be tellin' me she's 'idin' in an out'ouse? Ew! Well, turns out she wasn't too 'appy ta see me, said I was gonna compromise 'er 'ole plan. I frowned, not dat she could see it, and she told me dat Crowley, leader o' da Liberation Front, 'ad been meetin' up wit' some otha worgen for da past few days and now it was time ta see what dey've been talkin' 'bout.

I followed Yorick inta da cottage and up da stairs. She pointed ta a wardrobe and tol' me to 'ide in der. I blinked--ya want meh ta stuff meh big ol' troll body inta some cabinet?! Grumblin' I did as asked. Good t'ing to; Crowley came in shortly afta, along wit' anotha worgen, and dey started talkin' 'bout joinin' der packs togetha--dat can't be good. Den, once Ivar slowly agreed, 'e be findin' Yorick's 'idin' spot and 'e killed 'er. I raged silently in my cabinet, not wantin' ta upset such big beasts, besides, I still 'ad ta report ta Belmont like Yorick asked--in time she will be avenged. Once da worgen were gone, I knelt by Yorick's body and said a small praya ta da loas fer 'er soul ta find peace and den Alarion and I returned ta da Forsaken 'Igh Command.


Belmont listened ta my report, noddin' and sayin' 'ow 'e would miss Yorick--dat she was a good rogue. 'E also said that this news couldn't be good and compiled it inta a report for me ta give ta da Banshee Queen. She looks kinda busy at da moment though so I t'ink I'll give it ta 'er on da morrow.

((Silverpine is easily my favorite questing zone in the game, which is sort of ironic since I'm not real fond of the new worgen lore. It's one of the few areas that actually got me interested in reading the quest text too; although I sort of need to for these journals anyway. XD

'Ave I mentioned before 'ow much I love wakin' up wit'out bein' clawed, bitten, or shoved around? Alarion was curled inta a ball next ta my side and 'e woke up and stretched as I sat up and rubbed da sleep outta my eyes. Soon as I stood and 'ad a stretch, I made my way over ta Sylvanas and 'anded 'er my report. She sneered at it and mocked Crowley, saying she would crush 'im beneath da heel o' 'er boot--remind me not ta piss da queen off. Anyway, she sent me on a'ead ta Admiral 'Atchet, sayin' dat the orc reinforcements dat we needed are in trouble or somet'in like dat so I'm off ta offer my services.


Turns out da admiral is an orc; I shoulda guessed from the name. She was none to 'appy about 'er situation eitha, sayin' it would go down in 'istory as one o' da navy's biggest embarrassments. Why ya ask, mon? 'Cause dey all were drunk! Da admiral be wantin' me ta try and salvage some o' da situation by takin' one o' da sea dogs wit' me and makin' 'im carry as many o' da lost supplies as 'e could 'old.

Next ta da admiral was an orc by da name o' Warlord Torok; 'e be blamin' da goblins fer gettin' em all drunk and da subsequent shipwreck. Honor be lost by dis 'ole mess so Torok be wantin' me ta kill a bunch o' worgen ta try and restore der honor. Before I could get started, an apothecary by da name o' Wormcrud called me o'er--I don't even want ta know how 'e got dat name. 'E told me 'bout some giant creatures called ettins and 'ow dey came from Gilneas. Da Horde be gettin' some o' dem ta assist us, but da othas we can't use need ta be put down before they cause more harm dan good. But ya can't jest walk up ta one and kill it, it 'as ta be done sneakily. So 'e be wantin' me ta collect some diseased beast guts. Hm.

Da diseased animals were easy ta find; dey be roamin' all around between 'ere and da beach front. Once more Alarion used 'is canines ta rip open da bellies o' da beasts so I could get at der guts. Da beach'ead was full o' worgen settin' fire to da Horde supplies. I decided ta interrupt der lil party by pepperin' wit' arrows while Alarion growled and snapped at em. I also made sure ta 'ave the sea dog pick up as many o' da good supplies as 'e could 'old--I'm still not sure 'ow 'e managed to carry a stack dat big, but we made it back ta da admiral okay.


'Atchet was 'appy ta 'ave da weapon supplies returned ta 'er, sayin' dat now maybe we could start turnin' dis mess around. Torok was pleased by da carnage I left be'ind as well, t'inkin' it will bring dem back inta honorable standin's. Before I could return ta Wormcrud, da two orcs told me dat a third ship 'ad crashed near da Skittering Dark and dat der soldiers were trapped by lots o' spiders. Naturally dey needed me to go o'er der and rescue da soldiers and "KILL DEM ALL!" ta regain lost honor. I t'ink all dat yellin' will make dem lose more honor dan gain it--makes me not feel as bad dat I got chased away from Razor 'Ill now.

I finally got o'er ta da apothecary, who was pleased wit' da beast guts and shaped dem inta a bush chicken dat 'e 'ad lyin' around. 'E den told me ta use da chicken as bait fer da ettin to make it easier ta kill da bastard. I decided ta do his task first; partially because 'e wasn't yellin' and partially because I 'ave a morbid curiosity ta see 'ow dis will work.

...Holy fel, mon! Dis ettin was HUGE! I unleashed my lil chicken and it scooped it right up. Seein' nothin' 'appen right away, I fired a shot at da ettin and all o' a sudden, it turned green and blew up! Yeesh. More and more I don't eva want ta make a Forsaken angry.

Wormcrud thought da 'ole t'ing was funny as 'ell too once I told him. Guess dat means 'e was pleased wit' da results. Excuse me while I go clean ettin guts off o' meself and Alarion.
