What is this fire pet?

I couldn't help but tame this guy. He's probably my favorite pet now, just because he's so... interesting O_o

The best part was when this DK started following me around for a bit then whispered me:
DK: "ok wtf?"
Me: "yeah?"
DK: "its a fire."
Me: *explains*
DK: "you must be wows best hunter"

^^ because I can tame Fire!

Ha, I got one for myself and now my boyfriend wants one. I named him "StoodInFire". Should I not ever dismiss him and is it alright to mount a flying mount? =O I expect Blizzard to fit it, but I just want to mess around with it for the time being. XD

The same 'appearance rules' apply to this pet as say, the burning boar. It will retain its appearance through everything except for arenas (auto-clear buff for everything) and Blizzard fixing it themselves.

before questions - no , this enrage does not increase dmg, its the same dmg then normal raptor , only looks more ... red

with BW he looks RED even more !!!

YAY!! I managed to get my fire "raptor" tamed!!! Named Him Ifrit!
He's brought me alot of good luck so far, especially coming into fail dungesons and bringing the group lots of luck!

I would guess it wont be fixed maybe until Tuesday, or even later. If its targetable for PVP then I don't think theres any problem with it (someone said it was for duels)

Question: So someone has to throw the seeds on them AS you're taming? With the Oil Wolf you had to throw the meat thing before taming, so I'm just making sure I have this right.

This is exciting news though!

Just as the tame is about to finish yes. It has a really short cast time (less than 1 second I'd assume) and from there it takes another half a second for the seed to take effect.

Me and 2 other guildies(gharly and tsiya) just tamed these guys! Both raptors and tallstriders work for it! me and gharly got em on the raptor and tsiya on the tallstrider. YAY fire pool pets!

I'm not entirely sure of that. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I was able to target my friend's fire pet in a duel just fine. I haven't brought it into BG's, but I think I'll go test and see if my friend Ally side can target it if I'm flagged. If he can, then it's not an exploit, since PVP would be the only issue. Info coming soon!

EDIT:

Right - so I took ol Sparky out to Duskwood, flagged and my friend came down. In a duel, she could see his nameplate and target just fine. Out of the duel, no nameplate - but she could target through tab targeting and when it attacked her and grabbed her chara's attention, obviously. So the only snag would be for people in a BG, not being attacked by your pet, not using tab targeting.
