Her worm was nudging her. She quickly lowered her binoculars, and looked at the large Jormungar. 
"Not now.", she quietly whispered to it. Caterpie had been getting anxious. He wanted to fight, but there was no fight to participate in, and it was annoying the worm to an incredible extent.

Still nothing. The gnome was prepared to give up now. The spiritbeast still hadn't shown itself. She put her binoculars into their small case, and shuddered. Lying in the snow for so long was painful, to say the least. She had experienced cold before, but not like this. Lying in the ancient troll nation had a certain feel to it. Not just the cold she could experience anywhere in Northrend, but something... More... She got up, and walked over to the small tent to light a fire. She couldn't stand this much longer. 
A cry. A cry of pain. The first few moments she didn't recognize the sound. But then she realized. It was the dying cries of a Wind Serpent. But there was... Something more... She could feel the cold in the scream. It was the loa. Another one had fallen. She didn't believe in the worship of them, but she could understand their great power. The first time she had heard a cry like that had been more of a trumpeting. A great soundwave had crashed against her, and as she looked around, she could see a great crater where there was once a temple. She had wished back then that she could harvest that power, use it in her weapons. But then she had realized that that was what these trolls were doing. And Gnomes dont use troll ideas!

She was laying down again, next to the crackling fire. It left her exposed to enemies, but right now she didn't care. Having that little source of warmth meant so much, the cold, painful rage of the loa was getting into her marrow. Chilling. Hurtful. Raging.
She tried her best not to think of it.

Peeking trough the binoculars was getting boring. She didn't even have the worm to keep her company anymore. It had grown bored with the wait, and headed off to feed. Right now, however, she would have given anything for some company.

A shine. What the? She quickly spun around, and saw a huge, glowing orb. It took her a few moments before she realized that this wasn't a giant, and she lowered the binoculars. It was a spectral saber, and it was cautiously making it's way towards her. This was it!
The large cat had reached her now. It curiously pushed the small gnome, almost knocking her over. Cautiously, she extended her arm, and patted the large creature creature. It purred, and walked over to the fire, where it sat down, looking into it. It's eyes perfectly matched the crackling nature of the fire, large, glowing orbs of green fire.

She could hear the hissing as she packed her camp down. The worm had returned, and was acting aggresively against the spectre. 
"No!", she xclaimed, and put her hands over the cat as a rather feeble protection. She wouldn't be able to wrestle the large creature down. 
The worm, however, seemed to understand that the spirit was a new friend, and carefully slithered over and gave it a light push with it's head.
Saturo hugged her friends. Yay.

Gondria is such a big, beautiful kitty. I like your worm, too, lol! I never imagine them as having much of a personality because well, they're worms. But Caterpie has a personality and I like it. (love the name as well)

Dangit. Totally want a worm named Caterpie. Then, after a bit, I'd tame a moth and name it whatever the moth pokemon was...

In all though, good story. Always interesting to see people's perspective on the ZD loa situation.
