I'm mostly waiting till they let us use different armor types. Most of the stuff I like for my death knight (and most of my other characters fishing gear) is cloth :c
Most of the hats I like are also ether leather or cloth.

Its going to be nice for my priest to ALWAYS be wearing goggles. And my hunter main will be able to get his old scythe back...

It's alright. Could use a helmet. Maybe mail eyepatch? There is also a green mail hood from one of the arena sets.
Unfortunately, the only mail eyepatch is orange. Also, those hoods don't look that great on Goblins in my opinion. They look amazing on female Belves, but not so much on female Goblins. There's goggles, but those are only on Ulduar 25 (and everyone's gonna roll for them.) I can't seem to find a good helm that I'm comfortable with.

For my Hunter I'll probably be getting the T1 Giantstalker set, and for the Shaman the T2 Ten Storms set. As for the Druid, I really like the T11 blue colored version since it matches the Anzu mount, and was thinking about the The DK blue quality starter armor. Haven't really thought beyond that for the others hehe

Though at first I was going to do the Black Dragonscale set, I realized that the pants and boots just had too much green in them, and the lack of a 'true' matching belt and gloves bothered me a bit. I'm mostly fond of the shoudlers and chestpiece rather than the complete set as a whole.

Anyways, I knew the Ebonhold set was my next choice. So simplistic but such a nice look. Building upon that, I've come up with the following as my planned outfit as soon as I collect all the parts.

Image
Ok Veph, what you can you do for a poor male Orc?..... black is good, but many of the sets just don't work when they bulk out.

And is that wolfslayer?

I have no proficiency in orc attire.

I'd recommend getting WoW Model Viewer if you don't already and peruse the mail items. It's what I did. Painstaking, yes, but going through the lists one-by-one can lead to some really cool results.

And yup, that's the Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle.

It's a very individual process. Race, complexion, and personal taste all factor in. I second the "browse WMV" sentiment. :D

I did a quick selection on wowhead to have a look at your sets on an orc.. interesting, but not quite there... maybe mix them? need a black shirt.

My other choice was the Tier 9 set, which pales in comparison... :?

edit, just checked that Ulduar set, not bad at all...

So, I went ahead and revamped almost everyone's outfits, but I'll only post the hunters here. If you're curious to see my other options, let me know. :)

Alburga's and Eadgyth's outfits stayed the same, the others had a rehaul.

Image Her stable theme is red, so this makes more sense.
Image I wanted something bright and showy for her.
Image This is feminine but not obnoxiously girly, and the wolf shoulders work RP wise.
Image Dressing Tauren is a pain. I'm alright with this for now, but I may still change my mind.
Image I'm in love with this outfit. Took me an hour to put together.
Image It's less in-your face than the previous green idea, and not as horrible as the purple Dragonstalker set, but I think the items actually look good on a Belf. Possibly still subject to change.

Looks like the latest builds of WoW Model Viewer are dead on the Mac... tried two different builds, first failed with various errors, newest build won't even launch. I'm not keen on the /sudo scripts that they give for trying to fix some of the issues, that can allow for nasty things to happen.

Guess I'll have to pass on checking out the models in detail.

Provided stat types don't have to match... I am definitely forcing my male belf into one of the mail skirts. All his friends tease him that he would look good in a dress and he hates it so much.

And my feral druid can wear a robe or skirt again yaaayyy. He has missed his robes and being faaaaabulous.

Thanks for the links. Oh, I wish I'd kept the quest reward bow. The UP drop is a reddish recolor I don't like, and there is a silver recolor, but it's a white vendor item, so unusable.

I'm still yet to decide what would suit my male belf. Suggestions open :P

I might use Lohn'goron, Bow of the Torn-Heart or Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas if I ever manage to get it.

Rest in peace mum. I really did love and miss you, even if I never got to see you.

For my Blood Elf Huntress Auroryn, my go-to gear of choice will be her RP set which I've already collected (with the exception of the bow). I did change out the shoulders from the set because I preferred the look of the ones pictured here better instead. I just need to work on acquiring her weapons now.

Image

No Helm (whatever I have will be hidden from view)
Back: Battleforge Cloak (not shown in image)
Shoulders: Rocket-Chief Pauldrons
Chest: Battleforge Armor
Wrist: Battleforge Wristguards
Hands: Battleforge Gauntlets
Waist: Battleforge Girdle
Legs: Battleforge Legguards
Feet: Battleforge Boots
Hand-Held Weapon(s): Twinblade of the Phoenix (not shown in image); Sun-Forged Cleaver (qty: 2; not shown in image)
Ranged Weapon: Skyfire Hawk-Bow (not shown in image)

I was playing around with WMV to find a gear set I wanted Khau pictured in for his signature from Serenith. What I came up with was this:

Image

No Helm (whatever I have will be hidden from view)
Back: Turbulent Cloak (maybe, if I can find the same look but in green then I'll use that instead)
Shoulders: Gale-Wind Guard; *Edit* I realized these shoulders and all similar models are only available in leather (boo) ... will have to come up with an alternative although nothing I've seen so far in the mail department has struck my fancy.
Chest: Heroes' Cryptstalker Tunic
Wrist: Bloodthirsty Dragonscale Bracers
Hands: Heroes' Cryptstalker Handguards
Waist: Spectral Rider's Girdle
Legs: Heroes' Cryptstalker Legguards
Feet: Bloodthirsty Dragonscale Boots
Hand-Held Weapon(s): Currently Undecided
Ranged Weapon: Currently Undecided

I am loving this collaboration of gear. The chest, legs, and hand gear all drop from bosses in VoA which I've never done before - should be interesting. The shoulder gear is a quest reward from Storm Peaks - hope I haven't already done it already :? . The waist gear can drop from either Gothik the Harvester or Gluth in 10-man Naxx. The cloak is a random drop from level 50-55 dungeons and the boots and bracers are both crafted items. Once I have everything in order, I do believe this will be Khau's go-to gear set.

I was able to ticket the mail eyepatch quest reward back, so you're not SoL there if you're polite. :) I was completely up front about why I wanted it (transmogrification) and had it restored within a couple of days.

Thanks for the tip! The funny thing is though, while I like both the bow and the mail eye-patch, I don't like them enough to ticket a GM. And as a Lore Master, knowing most quest rewards are unavailable, there's a certain stubbornness in putting together a look without them. :)

will it be just mail gear looking like other mail gear, leather like other leather, etc? or can we make a mail piece look like a leather piece? so long as our class can wear it.

Yes, you can only change one type to its same type. Mail to mail, leather to leather.

The only exception is for our ranged weapons, bows/crossbows/guns are all interchangable, but other handheld weapons are still swords to swords, axes to axes, etc.
