Pogeyan "The Fire Spirit"

One of the three troll gods: Pogeyan, Mahamba, and Tsul'kalu found in Northern Stranglethorn. His spawn location is very small and typically a 3-6 hour timer. While labeled the Fire Spirit; he is not considered a Spirit Beast and is tamable by any hunter level 28 or higher. He is a neutral mob.
Real world equivalent, the Pogeyan is a cryptid grey big cat, a feline; possible leopard or out-of-place Asian lion, known to local people, allegedly living in the Western Ghats, India.
The name "Pogeyan" is derived from the local dialect and means "The cat that comes and goes like the mist".
The Tame: Pogeyan was Ocyen's first rare tame and the easiest thus far. Run to coordinates (note this was done at level 28), spot him, begin tame, done. I even kept the original mob name. Northern Stranglethorn (at least on my server) is not considered a great leveling area; so many will pass by Pogeyan without notice.
Skin, Sounds, Etc: For a low level hunter wishing a cat, this should be your pick. It isn't until the 70s that you will find another model with glowing eyes and a shiny coat. I have had a lot of other hunters ask where to tame this feline just because of the look.
Like any typical cat, he makes the yawning roar sounds with flapping jowls. His Roar of Courage (pet special ability) is typical of most feline pets. Simply put, if you're just chillin' in SW or Org with him out and the volume up--you'll be wanting to shut him up quick.
Use: Pogeyan is a Ferocity pet, with the buff to Strength and Agility he provides to all party members with Roar of Courage he (like all the cat family) are a staple in dungeons and raids for DPS.
I found in questing that in early levels, Pogeyan was unable to hold aggro. Then again, I tend to shoot first and ask questions (where is your loot?!) later; so sending him in first (like any pet) is a good idea even with the recent threat changes.
For PvP, I never used him. Sure his DPS might be high; but I much prefer something with interrupts or keeping the target at range.
Final Word: Pogeyan is an interesting skin, one that you may keep in your stable (especially if you are PvE orientated). He's the little brother of Skarr and Loque'nahak; but unique compared to the common Cursed Offspring of Har'koa.
