Re: Quake!
Earthquakes happen all the time all around the world. I believe most of them are very minor tremors that could barely be felt at all. =Xcowmuflage wrote:Wow this is truely the year of the quake. First a big one in Christchurch and then another big one in japan and now you guys. Man mother nature loves quakes this year :S No one died right? cos then it would be better than the other two :S (and if anyone sadly did I hope it was not as many as the other two)

As for myself, considering I got to hear how my fiance's workplace shook....and he was several stories up....I can only facepalm at the idea it "needed to be bigger". Seriously?
Well grrrrr to you too. It was a joke if you didn't get it.

I believe if you can believe out of nothing an explosion (big bang) happened then how far fetched can god be?

Re: Quake!
They shut down my school and one other originally because they reported structure damage, and now they've just down all schools to be safe and thoroughly inspect them. I was positive I had school today, too. Never thought I could say that I got a day off for an earthquake...
And anyways, the general consensus is right--there were no major injuries and only two minor I know of specifically at the school's, one at my brother's actually. But over all, it was a pretty shocking but harmless thing.
And Adam, of course we're (well, the media) are freaking out. It's...like...that freakish cold snap of snow in Florida.

Which the same could be said for a tornado in southern Ontario. I actually haven't really heard of many that even touched down.Azunara wrote:And Adam, of course we're (well, the media) are freaking out. It's...like...that freakish cold snap of snow in Florida.

Re: Quake!
I didn't even hear about this until now, but I have been feeling paranoid and having this 'gut feeling' of something happening. One day it just stopped and now I hear about this! Now I understand why me and my dog have been acting *sorry for my language* bat shit crazy.
I feel bad I didn't feel anything though, I always used to sleep threw earthquakes...

I think that could go for the majority of Canada, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Pine Lake in Alberta had a devestating Tornado touch down in 2000.CrystalKitten wrote:Which the same could be said for a tornado in southern Ontario. Re: Quake!
Goderich, Ont was where the F3 was last Monday.CrystalKitten wrote:Oh, I know it can happenThere was an F3 somewhere in Ontario not too long ago. Then we got a massive storm a few days ago, and so far there's 2 confirmed tornadoes from that (1 was actually kind of close to me... it ended up stopping just at the next town over... o.o Kind of scary).
