Albino Eyegouger

Unread post by Sarantha »

Will someone please post a pic of their hunter with this pet out? I really want to know if it even still exists anymore. I have ran Deadmines about 30 times and have yet to see it even once. I've seen loads of Brilliant Macaws, Sunwing Squawkers, and Monstrous Parrots, but never a single Albino. Are they THAT rare? I had a friend tell me the Brilliant Macaws were rarer, but I have seen one in each lockout I've ran through, so they do not seem all that rare.

Will update if I somehow get one on my next lockout. I've done two lockouts of Deadmines today with not a single sighting of this white parrot. I am keeping my Brilliant Macaw, but I still yearn for this yellow and white beauty, to replace the hideous fire turtle, Terrorpene, whom I dislike and never use. At least I'd use a gorgeous white bird.

So, anyone? Please, pretty please, post a pic of your hunter with this bird. Preferably in a well-lit area so I can decide whether or not going on 50 runs is worth getting this pet.

I've run Deadmines at least 60 times and seen about 7 Albino Eyegougers, at least 5 Monstrous Parrots in every run, and some Sunwing Squawkers in almost every run. No Brilliant Macaw. I have never tamed the albino, but I can assure you it's a very pretty bird. Looks similar to the pure white owls from Winterspring or wherever you find them, except it's a parrot with yellow tinges.

O.o

I see at least 2 Brilliant Macaws each lockout. Trade you luck for a bit? ><

I'd be happy to. I really want the Brilliant Macaw, soooo pretty! I don't have enough room in my stables for an Albino, so I'm still looking for my favorite :(

I'm dropping ugly-face, aka Terrorpene, to tame an Albino once I find one. I'm not getting rid of my Brilliant Macaw that I did tame. I love him too much. I figured, since I don't like nor use Terrorpene, why not release him? I could always tame him again if I wanted him.

I'll give you my Macaw luck in exchange for ANY luck on an Albino. I have submitted a ticket asking if they spawn in regular Deadmines still. WoWhead had no answers for me, nor did Thottbot. So I figured perhaps a GM could just tell me if the still spawn. Thats not really a game hint. Its just telling me whether or not something spawns. The GM isn't spawning the mob for me or telling me what time it spawns (if it has a certain time), just telling me if it still spawns in regular Deadmines.

Ohhh yes, that pet is so worth it. I'm on run 61 of Deadmines and no Albino, but I'm gonna keep on truckin'!

P.S. TERROPENE IS HIDEOUS! At least to me. I can't stand him and never use him. Karkin and Madexx are my tenacity pets.

I sorta deleted the pictures I had of Sere taming it. I love the way parrots look, but hate their parrot noises, so I released this pretty birdy cause he just sat in her stables. (I prefer owls...) But I used to have pics of the tame... and just can't find them now. Wasn't even a month or so ago that I tamed it. Musta run that place 20+ times soloing at level 34... all that work to hate the noise. Guess I didn't think they would be so squawky. :|

I keep sounds turned off, so the squawky doesn't bother me too much. I listen to music most of the time.

I don't really have an opinion one way or the other about Terrorpene. I have used regular turtles for forever and love them to bits. :)

I also can't get into parrots. I don't care for the noise, or for the fact that it's just a giant parrot. If I'm going to have a giant bird flapping about with me, I'd prefer something that looks a little more vicious than a parrot. Yes, yes, I know, they can take your finger off with one bite. But still.....it's a parrot. I'd take an eagle, owl or carrion bird (carrion birds are my favorite) any day. :P

Anyway, good luck on your birdeh!!! Let us know when you get it (not "if")! ^.^

They still spawn, don't worry about that… They might just take freaking forever. My friend and I ran Deadmines for ages trying to get the Brilliant Maccaw and it took days for us to see the Albino Eyegouger - we never did see the Maccaw.

That said in an extremely de-motivational way, good luck!

I know someone else already posted a pic, but here's mine.

I wish I had more opportunity to use this fella, but I don't get a lot of requests for disarms in dungeons. :D Still, I love pulling him out once in a while as he reminds me of a RL pet I once had. It took somewhere between 10 to 20 runs on regular for it to finally spawn for me, but that was back when it was first added to the game.

I did 25 runs für the brilliant Macaw for my pet challenge and found him finally. During these runs I found the Albino twice and tamed him once as a luck charm. *sends over all her luck to Sara*
I'm adding a pic from the tame and one in front of the dungeon.

edit: the rogue sneaking up behind me is my fiance who helped me to get faster through the dungeon :)

Wow, thanks for all the wonderful pics. And for making me feel better about getting the Macaw on my 3rd run of Deadmines. So many people seem to want him, but I got lucky with him and got him quickly. I saw him and was like "hell, I'm taming this just in case Albino don't spawn soon" and fell in love with it. It also matches my lovely miniwing!

I ran Deadmines about 10 more times last night before going to bed, and did not see a single Albino, or, shockingly, a single Macaw. I was grateful for my Macaw at the time and gave him several /pets. Haha.

Edit: Like run 71, HE APPEARS!

Image

I named him Chuck because I was almost praying by the time I was doing this run, and he's almost pure white. If you get it, cheers.

Congrats! I've run about 35 of them myself looking for this guy, but have only found the brilliant macaw (which I do like and did tame). I'm not sure I'll be running more in the near future though >.> haha

Congratulations!!! Did you alter that screenshot in any way? It looks so crisp and smooth and detailed. That, or you just run everything on super-duper-ultra-maximum settings (in which case, I am jealous ).

I have a customized gaming computer, so I do run everything on Ultra settings, with no lag in FPS either. It wasn't cheap, trust me.
