[Kuraine]

Hello and welcome to Kuraine's journal of rare and interesting mounts! The reason I made this? Because I LOVE rare and unique mounts! I love to camp for them or do dungeon runs for them, whatever it takes to get my hands on some yummy looking mounts. :3 I'll be using this journal to record my runs and camping stories, so if you're interested at all, please leave a comment!

The rare mounts I already own - All-in-one rare mount picture-blog!

Dungeon/Raid Mounts:
• Raven Lord - Started doing runs after the patch that removed the druid summon requirement. 18 runs later, I struck gold!
• Swift White Hawkstrider - Did runs every now and then for it. Got it after 24 runs.
• Red Qiraji Battle Tank - Did a PuG raid and two of them dropped, first one went to my boyfriend, second one went to me. We both got lucky!
• Vitreous Stone Drake - Claimed after 65th solo run on normal mode. Phew!

Rare World Drop Mounts:
• Grey Riding Camel - Second camel I found, and by accident too. I was flying around looking for Madexx and BOOM. Camel.
• Phosphorescent Stone Drake - Camped a solid week for it, at least 12 hours every single day. On the 7th/8th day, Aeonaxx spawned at 12:30 PM, directly under me.
• Time-Lost Proto-Drake - 10 days of solid camping after a few weeks of camping here and there. Spawned in my face at 9:09 PM, on the 9th September! Freaky or what, eh?!

Other:
• Green Proto-Drake - Found in the very first egg that hatched after the patch that upped the drop chance! xD
• Sea Turtle - Dropped while I was fishing for the rare-fish achievement.
• White Polar Bear - Dropped from the bag after 4905340958394058430953 dailies. I swear. -.-

Interesting fact: As I started this journal, I had just started camping again after a few weeks break from camping TLPD. I went to dinner. TLPD spawned. Some level 80 got it. -.-

I did this too once. I sat on FL lol'ing to myself that as usual there was nothing. Went to get coffee, let my doggies out, came back....TLPD cached ._. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry - this was before my super camp >.<

Since then I've missed him like 4 more times ._.

He will spawn again, just be there when he does

I know he will. xD And I was there only an hour or so before he spawned, so I'm not too let down by it really. Even if I wasn't AFK I probably wouldn't have got it. I was camping at the Waterfall spawn point since someone was on Frozen Lake already, and it spawned at Ulduar. It flew all the way around to the Frozen Lake still, where someone killed it. I read about it in general chat when I got back, went to have a look and...

I feel your pain I missed the TLPD twice last week..once I didn't login at my usual time ..and the Thursday I decided to visit Deepholm and he spawned that night ..I was disappointed but on Friday I was more determined then ever to get him....so my hunt continues and I won't stop til he is mine, which I'm hoping is soon

I know I've done more than one run for both the Blue Proto-Drake and the Fiery Warhorse... But the problem is I wasn't counting. xD So, let's call it a fresh start, hrm? ^^

Also, of course I've found more Vyragosas too. But since this is going to be a fresh start where I camp more often, I decided to reset that counter too. I just decided it would be a good idea since I made a brand new thread for these things, and hopefully my thread can give me some luck!

Camped nearly an extra four hours now, started two hours after TLPD last spawned. Got my boyfriend to camp Brunnhildar while I camped Frozen Lake and a mage who wants to kill Vyra for the achievement is currently parked at Ulduar. I taught them about the spawn points, so he decided he wanted to camp there. My boyfriend went offline a while ago though without another word, I think he's fallen asleep. Ah well, nothing to be seen or heard. Total silence in the Storm Peaks.

I did watch Brother Bear though. The last three nights I've been watching old Disney films - Monday I watched Mulan, yesterday I watched Tarzan and today Brother Bear. Any suggestions on what I should watch tomorrow during camp time?

Been out most of today to get my enrollment for my second year of college done/hanging out with a friend. I haven't even logged on to WoW. I'm kinda scared to to be honest, in case someone happens to let me know that I just missed Time Lost or something... Anyway, I'll get some more camping done soon and do another run for the Blue Proto.

Logged on and was told Vyragosa spawned and was killed around 10 minutes ago, Brunnhildar spawn point. That's a few hours break for me at least.

Back to camping now after waiting nearly six hours since the last Vyra spawn. I know that TLPDResource.com says that people have heard of her spawning after only two hours since Cataclysm but I call bullshit on that since I've looked at millions of camping journals since Cata and no one ever sees a spawn less than six hours apart. So, I hope to grab a Vyra spawn or hopefully TLPD before bed!

Blergh. No need for much camping tonight! I was chatting with another camper when she told me Vyragosa spawned at the Waterfall spawn point. Went to check and...

Bam. Yet another Vyragosa. This one seemed funny to me though because she spawned just over six hours after the last spawn. Never seen that happen before. Ahh well, at least now I know it very well can happen, and the other camper told me that it happens to her a lot. So I'll keep my eyes peeled a bit better around that time from now on!

I wasn't too sure before it was better to try and get on good terms with every single camper, even if you didn't like them, or just to fend for yourself in the Storm Peaks. Today I picked the second option because the hunter you see in the previous screenshots was annoying the crap out of me. She would stack on people when they were in 'her' spot, whisper you and irritate you into answering her, and generally just be a really bad TLPD camper.

Basically, I try to add all the campers to my friends list. This morning when I logged on, she was doing an AV. I waited for a bit to see if she would finish so I could see if she would take the Frozen Lake camp spot again, but the battle went on for over half an hour so I decided, screw it, it's her fault if she's doing BGs in the middle of a camp so I'm going to sit here. And if she complains, she can stuff herself, it isn't my problem at all. So, of course, after a while she finishes the BG and spawns behind me on the Frozen Lake spot.

I chatted with her as normal for a bit and then it started to bug me because she was just not moving from that spot. I asked why she didn't move to another spawn point to make it better for us both, and then all hell broke loose. She accused me of being the bad guy because I was on 'her' camp spot. For a while, I flew away and camped at the Brunnhildar spawn point. She continued to yell at me about having friends who could 'camp my ass' and all this other samey, childish abuse.

But then I had an idea pop into my mind. She had told me she didn't see how stacking on people was rude at all, even after I tried to explain to her how it obviously is. So, if stacking isn't a bad thing to her, she won't mind if I park my ass back on Frozen Lake. So I'm doing that, right now. She's actually sat right now, dismounted, behind me, at the edge of the ledge. If she'd done any research she'd know that that isn't where TLPD/Vyra spawn and that where I am currently sat gives me a clear and easy shot at whatever spawns there. So, assuming she's still there and I'm at the computer still when it spawns, there's around a 99% chance that I'll be the one to get it and that it'll be a crapload of wasted time for her. If I'm not at the comp, obviously I won't get it, but at least I'll know it was there.

I'm just hoping she'll learn soon enough and bugger off to another spawn point, and take me off ignore. And stop being so childish.

Hrmph. Why's it always me that has these camper problems?

Edit: Screw it. Got fed up of her bullshit. Moved to the Ulduar spawn point and when my boyfriend can he camps at Brunnhildar for me. Although when he comes online I'm gunna get him to switch with me, since the other hunter Eagle Eye's to Brunnhildar, so if it spawned there she would get there first, but if it spawns at Ulduar, she wouldn't know and my bf would tell me. <3

Been here 7 hours now. Nothing. I'm camping at Brunnhildar while my bf camps Ulduar. That hunter took me off ignore and tried to make a deal with me, that we both help each other get our drakes. I told her that wasn't going to happen. Why? One, I have to go back to college in a week and I won't have much time for camping then. Two, I came here with the intention of camping it all by myself before my boyfriend decided he wanted to help. And three, I'm not going to help someone I don't even like that much camp the drake. So we've made the deal to basically tell each other if/when something spawns.

I think I might stick it out in Brunnhildar from now on, I suddenly have this soft spot for the camping place. Plus it'll make things easier when it comes to other campers, since pretty much everyone and their mum tries to get to Frozen Lake if they can. I've barely seen any campers at this spot before.

Let's put it this way: We have a 50% chance each, pretty much, to get whatever spawns. If it's Frozen Lake spawn, she'll get it. If it's a Waterfall spawn, it'll fly around to her and she'll get it. If it's a Brunnhildar spawn, I'll get it. And if it's an Ulduar spawn, my bf will tag it, call me over and then we'll kill it. I hope it's my side of the 50%. c:

I left the raid cause both PuG tanks were rubbish and went straight back to Storm Peaks. Nothing had spawned yet apparently. It's been nearly 11 hours since I started camping.

Something has GOT to spawn soon. I hope.
