Can someone please tell me how to get up to where Skarr spawns on those island things? I've been running round like a headless chicken for ages trying to work it out. Thanks.

Two ways:

1) Unlock and do the 'Into the Fire' Quest Chain. This will clear the Furnace path of fire and make it very easy to get up to where the platforms are that you have to jump up to get to the main little island where you can be within taming distance of his spawn points.

2) Run up alongside the edge of the Furnace. You'll die and fall off a few times till you get the idea of how to get through it-but in general you need to run along the left side of the path and can, with practice, make it through without dying.


One you get past the Furnace area, you have to go by Kirix's spawn area to a series of platforms. Skarr sometimes spawns on them, but you also will have to climb/jump those platforms to the big floating island, as he has a spawn point on the other side of that island as well.

As a note? I found RIDING on the edge to be better than RUNNING-- it's prolly just me, but every time I ran I died, but riding, I got to the other side with serious damage, but eating one of the pears you can pick if you've unlocked the moonwell will heal you up ASAP!

Now, the jumping rocks... that I wish you LOADS and loads and LOADS of luck to do. ::sigh:: I will admit to, having done it ONCE, to have sat for 4 days to wait for my Skarr, as I knew there was no way in heck I would ever be able to do it again.

Yeah, I ride along the sides... I am so behind on the quests to unlock it. I have fallen off a few times and died a few times to the fire, but mostly I make it to the otherside with no problem. Ones of these days I will unlock those quests.......... lol. I have also gotten very used to rock jumping, but the first few times I was horrible at it. But when I tamed my Skarr, he was on the southern rock, so I didn't rock jump at all to get to him, I tamed him from the edge.
