It's totally random. Both the spawn point he shows up at and the color he spawns as will be random.

Entirely random. If I remember correctly, I got my red and green Madexx at the same spawn point, and my blue one north of Ramkahen, and a bronze one on a ledge somewhere to the east.

Heh, if you poke around the forum, you'll find that other Madexx colors "don't exist" on other servers. It's all RNG.

Tarren Mill hates green for some reason, took me a couple of month to get mine, guess it's because it's overpopulated by horde, Madexx loves wearing red here^_^

Yep, and that's why I'm not complaining. Because I know that's EXACTLY how it works! Kalliope ended up taming brown Madexx for fun and so he wouldn't be killed a couple of times (rehoming brown Madexx is a hard sell)....and I got attached. T_T Hence trying to pick him up on Kallimon....but brown Madexx now recognizes Kalliope as friendly and continues to run to her. xD

I refuse to actually sit and camp for him, since I swore I would never do that, and it's helped keep my sanity intact. If I get unlucky on a pop, at least I didn't waste any effort on it.

In my personal experience, Madexx knows what he's doing. He spawned on Nesingwary in red a couple of nights ago, which resulted in a chain reaction of no fewer than four different pets getting tamed. If he'd spawned in brown before, that never would have happened. It's just a question of figuring out what message he's sending.

I never wanted Madexx at all until I saw him the first time - and he was green, the one color that could have possibly won me over....and so it did. I know that others have not been nearly as lucky with him, but that's RNG for you.

Trust me. If you remember my camp, its better you don't. You'll go mad and get very cranky out there. I had friends to keep me sane at the time but even so.....x.x;
