Pre-Molten Front, I had camped him for about 6 months give or take without even a sighting. After getting all the MF rares I wanted, I decided to try ONCE MORE for Blue Madexx and have been actively camping him again for about a week, with starkittens help. We've seen either Black, Red, or nothing. I think his spawn timer was greatly increased or he was hot fixed to only spawn in those two damn ugly colors.

I need a blue Madexx luck charm! I want this scorpid so bad. I thought I'd be fine once I got the green one, but no, I realized how gorgeous blue is and I just have to have him.

Edit: After much discouraging news after very shortly posting this topic, I fucking give up. There is no "GOOD LUCK! HOPE YOU GET IT!" from most people, just people discouraging me even more from trying to camp this pet. I had honestly thought perhaps something had been hotfixed and I was doing something wrong to never see this pet after half a year of looking, but according to some, they tamed it just 2 days ago! So I'm wrong in every way and I just give up. I would have loved this pet. I love his model, his coloring, his eyes, even the fact that he's tenacity. But there is no hope of ever getting it, I realized, so thank you anyway for the lovely Madexx luck charm. I appreciate it and will keep it saved on my computer in hopes that one day, when I'm in Uldum for whatever reason, maybe, just maybe he'll be there for me.

He's not been hotfixed and his timer has always been 6 - 24 hrs. It's very irradic.

He's not bugged. I don't think bugs work for just servers. If he was bugged, he'd be bugged for ALL servers. Remember? I just tamed a blue madexx on Moon Guard a few days ago.

Thank you for being kind and understanding my desire for this pet instead of being exceptionally rude about it like some people have and completely ignoring my depression over having camped this pet for 6 months without even seeing it. I will hope your charm brings me luck. <3

Thanks, but I give up. Very few people are supportive of my extensive, half-year search for this pet, so thank you, but all can ignore this post now. I will never get this pet. Karma doesn't exist and there is no reason to help anyone anymore at all. I've rehomed dozens of pets, but it doesn't matter. I'm done with rarecampers and rares in general. The one pet I've wanted for so long I've basically been told I'm screwed and I'll never get it, so I just give up. My mage is my main from now on. At least I can pvp my way to gear that way and not have to worry about pets that I love. I'll go back to being a gear-obsessed raid hog instead of a helpful rarecamper. Getting screamed at by a drunken raid leader is almost a relief from this stress.

Aw don't give up. Just check Uldum on occasion. He'll pop up sooner or later. If you were on my realm, I'd help you camp him. I don't think anyones told you to give up or that you'll never get him. Madexx has always been known to be an elusive scorpid since he was first introduced. That's in no way saying you'll never get him.

We cant help you in-game if we arent on the same server. It would take us quite the while to lvl to 80 (least some people like myself) to be able to help you watch spawn points or take turns so it isnt one extremely long camp. To my knowledge the only mentions of blue madexx you have ever made is about the spawn timer, the fact you've never seen it in the wild and that you've seldom seen a tamed one and from the consolation corner ive read quite a fair bit of how there are quite a few griefers then players.

It doesnt surprise me one bit that the probably reason why you havent been seeing madexx's of specific colors is probably because people tame but stable them or they're killed off. Just because you havent seen players running around with Blue Madexx doesnt mean that no one owns one, for all we know its spawned a few dozen times but have been placed in the stables for different pets after being tamed.

We are not blizzard, we are mere players, just because we cant answer your questions with the answers your hoping for doesnt mean you should act like we are rude or ignoring you because we dont know anymore then you do. I for one try to answer posts as best i can and if i dont know any possible legit answer, i am not going to make something up for the sake of posting or to give hope, i will simply just move on. Im sure many posters here do the same thing.

He will spawn in Blue, he will spawn many times in Blue, whether you are there in time to tame without hassle from other players or even Deathwing since he is known to frequently show up in Uldum and will kill Madexx if it is up at the time, i cannot say, but for you, and your sanity, i will hope.

On the other hand, I have never gotten any pets I really ska Ted by camping them, this has happened to me with King Krush, Loque and Karkin. It seemed to me, like they didn' t want to show up when I was after them. But the moment I stated I'm giving up on them, I bumped into them while I was on a different business in the zone:)

I've spent almost a year trying to find Loque, I was either too late or offline when he was there, it was driving me crazy. So I gave up and casually popes in sholazar to farm ore. 3 days after I gave up on him he spawned right in front of me as I was mining a saronite nod^_^ I think is scared my mom to death then, cause we were arranging the dinner on the phone at that moment and I choked something like "I'll call you back" under my breath when I saw him, she though I was having a brain spasm or something:p

So yeah, give up, but don't stop looking, just fly by casually, I preferred morning hours before work, thats how I got my green madexx:)

On KT EU I have seen a grand total of 9 of the lil beasties in the wild. 5 were blue, 1 brown, 2 red (one dead) and 1 green.

So yeah, I think some colours do spawn more than others! And I think that this lil scorpid is the rarest of the Cata rares - I still get /w about Guzbah ^_^

I saw these over a period were my brother and I camped him with a 6-15 hours window after the last was tamed (we re-homed them all except the one we couldn't save from an ally -_-). I give up looking tbh because blue madexx always seems to be up lol. I had a blue one but swapped him for the greeny I adore

My brother has the entire Madexx collection except the green (he gave him to me ) and the black. And talking to other rare hunters, black madexx never spawns on KT - one who tamed all the MF rares didn't believe me black madexx was real (he thought it was a re-colour just for the MF!)

Keep looking, on KT 90% of them spawn around the 15 hour mark, GL!

No, you aren't stupid. Just frustrated beyond all measure. Its understandable. And if it turns out to be a bug, that really does help cause then it can be fixed and you'll have a fair shot.

I think you are reading too far into "this person"'s posts. No one is being deliberately discouraging, you just seem inclined to take it that way. It seems like the whole 'stupid' thing was pulled out of thin air, at least from what I can see here and on the CC - no one's posts ever implied that you were stupid or anything less than wondering about a possible bug, and assuming tone over the Internet is often disastrous. I have a feeling I know who you're talking about and she's not the type to be deliberately condescending, especially to someone unhappy. She's a sweet gal and I don't think she meant to come off as rude, but you are understandably frustrated.

He is spawning, as I saw you mention earlier - even if it's just in the same two colors, that would lead me to believe you're a victim of RNG, not a hotfix or a bug. I know Pent's hunt for a green Madexx was mentioned on the Consolation Corner - if you are at least seeing some spawns(and there's a possibility you're missing others), then I would imagine that you're just suffering from poor RNG much like Pent seemed to. Whether you want to keep up the hunt or not is up to you, but long-term camping is rarely good for you, especially when you get tunnel-vision for one color of Madexx with four others going against you. The feeling you get when NPCscan goes off and it's not the color you want is understandably one of the most painful things in the world, especially if you've been camping for months. :/ I'd suggest "giving up" as it were, but do a fly-by at certain times a day. You won't get him the fastest way possible, but it'll probably help your sanity.

If it is a bug, sitting out in Uldum isn't going to do anything about it. Put in a ticket asking about it, mention that you think it might be bugged, and go do something else. Hovering over the same patch of sand for hours isn't going to do anything but make you miserable.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear he's giving you such trouble though, really. :/ Whether it be a bug or RNG, that sort of thing just isn't fair.
