Karkin the update:

I told earlier, that Karkin was killed in front of me from my own faction. I wrote a ticket and now got an answer.
Seems like Germany is different to the Us. I read here in the forums that gankers/griefers were reported and got banned/punished. So my GM just said "the mobs are for every one, although it is not apreciated, it is not a crime". So Karkin killer just gets off with his rude and unfriendly behavior, he called me names, because I was mad at him and told him he was a total jackass, so I put him on igno, but it's just not fair for such people to go on with this kind of behavior. I avoided the molten Front after Deth was killed by alliance while I was helping a Horde to tame him, today was my first day there again and I just don't seem to be able to cope with this kind of people anymore. It makes me sad and angry at the same time. The GM even told me, that there is nothing planned to get rid of these kinds of problems with people killing rares (like making the pets neutral)

Honestly to me, it sounds like you just got a "dud" GM. =( I would resubmit your ticket, in hopes that you get a GM that is at least a little more understanding.

I remember I had to submit a GM ticket in three times before just to get a actual "real" response. I had done a random ZA/ZG que'd as a tank purposely for getting the satchel. I entered a half-way completed dungeon, and once completed it did not give me my satchel. It finally took three tickets where I had to explain multiple times that I didnt specially que for that dungeon, that I did que as a random, and that yes the call to arms feature was present because I was queing as a tank and for that reason only, to *finally* have a GM contact me personally to ask me questions. Apparently there was (and maybe still is I do not know) where even when queing under call to arms feature, that if you get que'd into an already half way completed dungeon, the feature somehow reverts thinking that its not supposed to give you your satchel. So I spent about 30 minutes talking with this GM as he got further details from me so he could report the issue once more. He couldnt give me my satchel that I had earned, but he sent me a peice of chocolate cake to be nice.

But yes, it did take me 3 GM tickets, all three taking nearly 24 hours to get a response from, till finally I had a GM that took the time to actually listen to my problem.

So I would say, try again. It couldnt hurt.

I think you misinterpreted what you've read, Find.

GMs actually can do very little against griefers. I had a heart-to-heart talk with one about this. Yes, it sucks what they've done but it's extremely hard to prove. Blizz doesn't keep battle logs so cant see who got the hit first. That's the first issue. Next issue, they cannot accept screenshots as proof because it can be edited.

With that in mind, it's not that GMs don't care, it's just it's extremely hard to prove unless the person in question completely admits in general chat or whispers that they love killing rares to be asshats.

Thank you Jessi and Mychelle. It might be, that I misunderstood. I talked to the Gm (so it was not just a reply to a ticket like "we're working on it"). But he told me, with rare mobs it is like with herbs, they are for everyone (he actually made the example), so everyone can kill or tame them like he/she wants. He told me it is not the behavior they want to see from players, but he also told me, there is nothing he can do about the warrior, as there are nor rules against killing a rare spawn
Sad to know screenshots are not worth something, I did a screen of my whisper to him when I told him/her to stop and his/her nasty reply "lol I was first".
But I think I will just leave it be. I don't want to think about poor dead Karkin anymore. I always see him dead. Noone kills Skarr on my server, but Karkin - he always dies. I think about taming him for myself if I should ever see him again. Poor thing starts growing on me, just because he always gets killed. I never wanted him, but better I tame him than somebody killing him.

I actually never saw Anthriss alive. My first and only sighting of her was Anthirss dead with Alliance having killed her, so a Belf couldn't tame her. Poor bananaspider.

I just lost Deth'tilac for the third time.. First time I had brought him to 5% health by myself when an ally stole aggro from me and tamed him.. Second time I brought a guildy, but alas, the same thing happened.. This time, I brought a rogue who was questing in the MF and together we got him again, to 5% health, when an ally ran in and died just as I was dismissing my current pet, thus killing Deth'tilac..

I almost watched Karkin die, with a warlock that basically misses the jump, and I ended up having to tame him to not let him die....that and I was the ONLY hunter in the MF. UGH. WHY DO I HAVE SYMPATHY FOR RARES WHEN THERE IS NO OTHER DAMN HUNTER IN THE MOLTEN FRONT. /headdesk

Is it relevant when an NPC ganks a pet you were trying for? LOL.

Was looking for Krush, saw him (sadly) near the Nesingwary camp. Of course, it being Hemet Nesingwary's camp, Krush didn't last long. The only place in the game where you will see NPCs gank pets instead of players. I really hope Hemet somehow turns out to be Deathwing's top lieutenant or something and we can slay him. Haha. He is raid-boss worthy. Pissing off players since WOTLK came out!

Besides...sooner or later...he's going to want to hunt the "most dangerous game"....

Have been camping Skoll for 3 days now and I just came from his one above the village checked the other two and flew back...to find him dead. It made me think if i'd just stayed there for a couple of minutes or had got back sooner maybe I could of tamed him. :'(

That happened to me once as I was looking for Skoll. I found his dead body instead. At least they had the decency to loot him and I skinned him for an Arctic Fur and 2 Borean Leather. =(

Was trying to find Loque a home after seeing her for the first time in the wild in a few months, when some dick swoops in and murders her. Well, I should say him, because he is Mate of Harkoa. Poor kitty. So alive and robust one minute...so dead the next. At least when I skinned him he dropped an awesome looking cloak I'm saving to transmog mine into. So Loque gave me SOMETHING. I didn't even get to kill it for the achieve, which I was going to do if I couldn't find him a home.



Doesn't this make Loque-wanters just seethe with rage? I know it makes me pretty damn PO'd. I didn't need Loque, I have him, but I'm sure the same dick who killed Loque wouldn't have hesitated to kill King Krush either if he saw him.

Couldn't bear to post the image of dead sparkle kitty. Click if you want to mourn the death of the poor thing.

Edit: The person who killed her WAS part of my rehoming channel, RareCampers. WAS because she won't be part of it anymore. What she did goes entirely against everything the channel is about. If no one wanted the kitty, fine, kill away, but at least three hunters eagerly responded saying they wanted her.

Loque is at least an achievement pet. It's hard to completely hold it against people for killing him in particular.
