Is The Oil-Stained Wolf Still Tamable?
I was wondering if the oil-stained wolf in Borean Tundra is still tamable (so it keeps the oily graphic)? And if so what is the most up to date method that works?

Re: Is The Oil-Stained Wolf Still Tamable?
After several attempts (maybe 15-20) I was able to tame the Oil-Stained wolf today (about 2-3 hrs ago). My alt was on the quest so I just used the quest item, counted to 2-3 seconds after the feeding buff showed, hit tame beast and it'd tame right as the wolf was disappearing. My method wasn't the best I'm sure but it worked for me.

I'm a level 85 horde hunter, I should of mentioned that.

I tamed the oil stained wolf a couple weeks ago, and I did so as a horde character without any quests, so its still doable
mine took about 10 minutes.

Can you post your method or link to the thread you learned how to do it from?Zuilu wrote:I tamed the oil stained wolf a couple weeks ago, and I did so as a horde character without any quests, so its still doablemine took about 10 minutes.

original method was to have a friend do the quest, and time your tame and the quest item.
i've heard the easiest way to do it now is to have a friend kill the wolf just as the tame ends.

Trying to re-tame Lone Hunter via revive pet method and it's not working. Can anyone confirm that this method still works since the last hotfix?

I've heard of multiple ways to do it, but all of them have been from around a year ago. That's why I'm trying to find out what specific methods work for doing it.

Just tamed Lone Hunter with the revive method. It still works even if the petabandon macro doesn't!

All I did was have my boyfriend get on his feral druid, and he did a move that would 1-shot the wolf as soon as I would tame. Spam revive, and eventually you'll wind up with the oily pet.Fatheroflies wrote:Can you post your method or link to the thread you learned how to do it from?Zuilu wrote:I tamed the oil stained wolf a couple weeks ago, and I did so as a horde character without any quests, so its still doablemine took about 10 minutes.
