Re: On The Hunt For a Madexx!
Debunking #1: I tamed black Madexx this week, so chalk up another one for him.

Debunking #2: Were my warrior a hunter and were she after Madexx, she'd definitely be seeking black Madexx as a color match:

Ah guess that matches then. Most draenei I see on MG arent so dark. They're usually all blue. XDSerenith wrote:She was the pure white variety with the face that has the very very blackish lips, so the contrast between her and the black Madexx was pretty actually.
I mean, all the colors would look nice with her, considering she is white. But my draenei on the other had, not the same story, she has blue skin and dark greenish hair. Lol

He's doing a "claw dance" in that picture, happy to have been tamed instead of murdered.

Re: On The Hunt For a Madexx!

And as far as draenei go on my server, they are pretty varied. I always liked how different they tend to look even with the slightest difference in coloration. I have three draenei myself and they all look very different.
And I think the Madexx colors that go the best with Ney are the green and bronze. Blue is still pretty though and I wouldn't mind him but I really am hoping for a green

I did tame a "clone" and I like him a lot. I'm really hoping I get a green one and I plan to keep the bronze clone. I have put all the colors next to my character and I think those two look the best.Sarantha wrote:Tame a bronze one, or one of their clones. I'm liking mine a lot. The gold eyes, the little details like his green mouth pincers and green tail tip...it makes him so much more adorable than I had thought possible for an insect pet.

On my server, red is the shit when it comes to people wanting it, except that time he was up for hours and no one tamed him (which is where my dear little Noonetamedme came from...) and people will fight over it, interrupting tames, threatening to kill the pet, bribery, etc. He's only been murdered out of spite once, most of the time bribery makes the other hunters usually slink away and let the other one tame it.

Re: On The Hunt For a Madexx!
Green?! Bland! How?! He is so cute!! He is green for one (a lovely shade at that) and has tiny bits of purple on his stinger and mouth. His eyes are orangey and remind me of my dad cause my dad loves the Hurricanes and green/orange are the schools main colors. I suppose we all have our own taste in pets for a reasonSarantha wrote:Green is rather bland. One sat around awhile back for about 2 hours before being tamed (I named him Lostsoul, because thats what he looked like, wandering around looking lost in the hot desert sand). For some reason, bronze is snatched up pretty quick despite being common when it spawns.

Red is stunning, really it is. I am having a hard time abandoning the one I have cause its just stunning. The purply eyes on a red scorpion seems like a strange choice at first, but in the end rather wise cause it makes him look very interesting. But he doesn't click with Neyaari, so thats the only problem with him. If I ever get Serenith to 84 I would love a red one for her.

Re: On The Hunt For a Madexx!
I sadly dont have 7 months to wait. If I can't find them, I have my little bronze clone to keep me satisfied for the time being. I still think it was lucky for me to at least spot two within the last couple days, they just weren't the right color.Zuilu wrote:Petal (Blue) and Jack (Green) wish you luck![]()

Re: On The Hunt For a Madexx!
Gosh, 7 months? And I honestly thought SIX months was bad for no blue Madexx. Its even sorrier to say that I still haven't seen a bronze Madexx to this day, except the one I accidentally killed on my mage thinking he was part of the quest and the single one I saved from a mage.Zuilu wrote:Petal (Blue) and Jack (Green) wish you luck![]()

Yes..7 months @_@ it was the longest camp I've ever done, I'm usually quite lucky with rares and get them within a week.Sarantha wrote:Gosh, 7 months? Re: On The Hunt For a Madexx!
I totally agree, I always thought it was so bizzare that we have a 1/5th chance of getting the colour we want, yet he has a longer spawn time than most rares..I mean, who wants to camp 17 hours straight for a rare that might not even be what you want? That even -likely- won't be the colour you want, its a pretty small chance it'll even spawn in your colour. I always thought he should have more like 6 hour spawn time, maybe 8 hours.Serenith wrote:Well due to the fact that he spawns in several colors... lets just say it makes it difficult when you want him to spawn in one particular color. Not to mention I severely dislike his spawn rates. No one has to agree with me, but I think a pet that has a chance to spawn in multiple colors should have a slightly shorter spawn timer than pets that are guaranteed to look a certain way. It would have also helped a lot if Blizz didn't make his spawn location so wide or in a popular questing zone with other scorpions. *sighs* Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if there wasn't a scorpion killing quest in his area.

Re: On The Hunt For a Madexx!
My thoughts exactly, I wouldn't mind camping the 17 hours or for several days so long as it was the one I wanted. But at the moment, I am not in the mood to camp this guy anymore. I have very limited game time as it is and I don't want to spend the remaining time camping a specific color. Just doesn't feel right. And I can't even say if I will get another time card to keep playing. Whats the point in camping a pet if I can't enjoy it now? *sighs* Had this expansion not been such a let down to my boyfriend/brother/and friends I would probably keep playing. I just don't see the point when I seem to be playing by myself now. (I do still like it, but its kinda lonely) And all my bf talks about right now is Guild Wars 2...Zuilu wrote:I totally agree, I always thought it was so bizzare that we have a 1/5th chance of getting the colour we want, yet he has a longer spawn time than most rares..I mean, who wants to camp 17 hours straight for a rare that might not even be what you want? I definitely agree. The only one thats as bad as him with spawn timers is Arcturis.Serenith wrote:Well due to the fact that he spawns in several colors... lets just say it makes it difficult when you want him to spawn in one particular color. Re: On The Hunt For a Madexx!
And yet I didn't have a problem with him, didn't take me long to get him and he was my first spirit beast at level 74 and its quite possible if memory serves... my first rare pet. But I have seen two wild Madexx's so it would be a problem either.... except the dang color issue! I waited a heck of a long time for Loque, but I knew what I was getting when he finally appeared... thus it was worth the wait. But not having the right Madexx spawn for 7 months will not sit well with me, mostly if I have to constantly see the colors I don't want. I refuse to torture myself with this.Jessibelle wrote:I definitely agree. I will be walking away from WoW (or seems as though I am cause I don't know when I will be returning) with two very lovely stables with nearly every pet I ever wanted (granted there are things I wanted for Sere like a non ghostly emerald owl, but I was too bored of leveling characters so she is stuck at 65 right now) so I really don't need to complain. I have a bronze clone as we seem to be calling him, so I'm really only missing out on the desired color (but bronze does look nice with her too) So yeah, I'm one green Madexx and one non-ghostly emerald owl away from having perfect stables on both my hunters. And for the next two days I will enjoy what I have while I can
