My trickiest tame yet

Unread post by Flyra »

Today my Worgen hunter , Vasla, (who I have sworn to only tame rares on ) reached level 55-56 so I decided to go and tame a pet I'd been eyeing up for a while: Zora (bronze wasp) . It took me a while running across silithus and I tamed a temporary scorpid which I called Banana to help me through the hive. Zora is located in Hive'Zora which if you have never been there is a place packed with groups of wasps and silithids. I checked all of Zora's spawn places and nearly died many times (theres some caves filled with wasps and if you attack one they all come for you  ). Then, finally in the LAST place I looked was a cave containing Zora - which was also packed with yellow wasps. I stood there for a while staring at the circling bronze wasp hopefully before using my main tactic in taming: Just go for it. I waited until Zora came by where I stood and hit tame, not only did she notice me but all of the other yellow wasps. I stared at the tame bar going down along with my health and suddenly there was a brilliant flash and Zora was mine! I quickly dismissed her and feigned death.

Later that day I took Vasla to Un'goro and looked for the Ravasaur Matriarch and her nest with no luck. So I logged on my night elf who was camped in Mount Hyjal. (The other day I tamed Ankha thinking she was Magria and decided since I didn't get Magria to go back and try). There was no Magria where I was camping so I flew along and low and behold I see the beautifully blue tiger shooting out from the trees , I flew down and started tame which didn't work as Magria was running away. So, I ran and tamed her again and about a second after I hit tame beast she became mine - some kind of glitch?

Later when I got back on Vasla I found the Ravasaur Matriarch AND her nest. ;D

Gratz :) And it is good to hear of stories where people tame old world rares.

Congratulations! :D

And what a weird glitch with Magria! How odd...
