Well, I have been making a guide to common pets (non-unique), and fell in love with one skin...the pink tallstrider. Dammit I tried to tell myself not to fall in love with the color, but yeah, in the end I tame one.
But that's not the case. I was getting "Explore Mulgore Achive" and spotted this little pink spec on the ground. Well, I tamed the pink flamingo. She (I am making it a she) is pretty cool, and if someone says crap about my pet..well like always I'll go back and say don't tell me how to play my class. RUN LITTLE HATCHLINGS RUN.
And as an extra, wasn't ghosthowl a rare once? Why did they change it?

Because he got turned into a quest mob awhile back(meaning he drops a quest for lowbies). I remember there was a huge topic on him before Cata. He respawns within minutes.
I hate how Ghost Howl doesn't look...ghostly...after the tame anymore. He just looks like a normal wolf. I'm happy with my Lone Hunter ghost wolf, but a white ghost wolf would have been awesome.

Tallstriders never get any love, and they really aren't bad pets. I like the purples ones although i have never had one.
and your right.. no one has the right to tell you how to play your class.
It's your $15.00, enjoy it anyway you choose!

Exactly! Like the people saying leveling 4 mages is insane. Its my $15 and I can spend it on leveling 4 mages if I want to. Thats definitely NOT insane in any way...
Also, the people who tell me I shouldn't be using non-spirit beasts as BM...what the heck? I know they're special BM-only pets, but I'm a hunter and can use whatever pet I like. I was using a shiny tiger from Uldum as BM in a dungeon earlier and someone said "L2P NUB BM HUNTER NOT USING SPIRIT BEAST LOLZ".

That's ridiculous! Clearly they know nothing. You should have said "LEARN 2 TROLL NUB LULZ"
And speaking of not knowing, I didn't realize Ghost Howl used to be slightly transparent. But hasn't he always dropped a quest? Or at least since BC? I could swear my very first tauren got a cloak and a quest from him.

I don't know if he always used to. Reading some wowhead comments, they're not really mentioning it much but that doesn't mean anything. XD Wowhead comments are often useless.
And wtf at the trollin....really? I would've been like "Hey dumbass. Guess what? Cats and Spirit Beasts both have the same damn abilities. The only difference is the spirit beast has an emergency heals...meaning it wont affect my dps. So worry less about a class you clearly know nothing about and worry more about yourself, kthx."
Yeah, the quest is The Demon Scarred Cloak. Comments on Wowhead indicate Ghost Howl has always dropped the quest item (which is a cloak you can actually wear, too, rather than being only a quest object).
Grats Meepitco on your pink flamingo! What did you name her? (Mine's named Divine.)

Ghost Howl always dropped a quest item (or rather, an item that began a quest), even before they changed him. It was a "hide" that you could also equip as a cloak, and there were two rewards for the quest: a gun and something else I can't remember (I always got the gun). He used to be rare and untameable. Now he's neither (well, evidently a "rare" mob that spawns frequently). I still like him, though. Always did!
I love tallstriders. Even way back when in Vanilla, when they only had I think Growl and maybe Bite, I still liked them. The teal one is my favorite (Strider Clutchmother <3), but the pink one is still awesome. So, congrats on your new lovely bird! And to heck with what people say. Tallstrider Power!

He has always been a quest mob and rare. As rare he dropped a cloak quest item that when turned in turns into a green. Now hes just a normal mob that drops a quest item.
My force of habit (that obviously never works) is trying to cast blink when playing any of my non-mage toons. That and rapidly spamming my mage frost nova key to try and root the mobs. Its especially funny that my blink key is serpent sting on my hunter and sometimes I'll break CC by accidentally casting serpent sting while trying to blink (because ALL my mages have blink bound to the same key, and I'm so used to constantly using its versatility to get out of bad shit). Truly noob moments on my part. At least when I level mages I can spam the blink key and not look stupid.
