My Problem Gets worse.... For the better.

So, early this morning, I was finishing up some dailies from the Night before on the Molten Front when I came across Skarr.

Now, I have this problem of when I see a Rare.... I just HAVE to Try to tame it. Problem being here is that I'm a Devoted Beast Master in Both Specs. After Abandoning my King Krush (because it was the only pet I had on me that I was willing to Abandon) I tried Many times to try to tame him as BM but Nothing I tried seamed to work. I just wasn't going to get him without a Silence. So, I hearthed, Respecced to MM for Silencing Shot for 66g and Flew back to the Molten Front and was a peice of Cake....... then I flew back to SW, Respecced back to BM for another 66g, Stabled Skarr and Returned to the Molten Front.......Where.........

Deth was sitting there waiting for me....... sigh....

So, since I had Grabbed my Gorilla (the Rare white one from Un'goro Crater) when I Stabled Skarr, he was the next to be abandoned. After a few Practicing pulls (and a few deaths to boot) to get the feel of the tame, I proceeded to attempt to solo him. Soloing him isn't really that hard. Problem was, I was running him around for close to an hour and I wasn't making much of a Dent in him and I was starting to get tired. So, I Figured "What did I have to lose" and started to Kite him towards the Entrance, picking up several random Mobs as well I was over joyed to see the Guards start wailing on him, taking his life down VERY FAST. He was one hitting them left and right but they respawn just as fast and they are surprisingly high aggro. It was everything I could do to pull him far enough away that I could tame him in time. Got him at about 5% life.

So, now I have 3 of the 5 Spiders in Molten Front. Not sure Why I'd want Anthriss since it's the same skin as the common spiders...... but Knowing me, If I see it, I'll want to tame it anyway.

I can almost always tame 2 rares at a time so in a way, I've quite lucky but I can't help myself and want to tame everyone I see. I have a serious problem.

I can relate to the almost an hour thing. My tame for deth took 25 mins, and I thought that was long!

Congrats!! They both look very nice with your hunter I helped an alliance hunter tame Deth last night and it took much longer than the last several times I tamed/helped tame it. The ally either didn't know to sacrifice his/her pet or forgot to. I sacrificed my own Deth to help tame, but it would take wild Deth quite a while each time to get annoyed enough with my spider to kill her. The other hunter took an odd kiting path as well - s/he never turned around to take Deth back up to her spawn but instead continued outward into the busier areas. I was a little nervous that some horde would try to attack her and not care about my pleas not to, but fortunately everything went off without a hitch

If you help others tame Deth in the future, it is MUCH faster if both of you sacrifice your pets! Each time she kills one, she loses 10% of her total hp

That would of been really nice to know. But I never read up on their taming methods prior to my attempts (because I never actually PLAN on taming them) and trying to quickly look it up here on the forums wasn't getting me anywhere so I just winged it.

Couple nights ago, I was on my druid and came across a couple BE hunters trying their hand at him. Watching them gave me the first idea as to how to handle him. And even though I was on my Druid, I think of myself as my hunter and my sense of Hunter Courtesy caused me to help them out a little. Because my druid was so undergeared and feral, I couldn't do much beside Throw out some Roots and dot him as much as I could as they kited him around. But I like to think I helped somewhat.

After they were finished, one of them targeted me and stood there staring for a min, like he couldn't figure me out so I just /saluted and rode away.

Congrats on your pets! They look amazing with you! And i know exactly how you feel, anytime I run across a rare, even one I never wanted, needed, or had any interest in, I just *have* to tame it.
I think I have a problem too. We need a "pet tamers anonymous"!
