I've slept most of the day. Still crying on and off, but I'm getting better. It's so much easier that I can remember his last moments being peaceful in my arms as he fell asleep. I still cry if I remember Dexter's last moments, they were so painful to watch. Ichabod didn't have to suffer, and I feel at peace knowing it was the right decision. I'm so glad he had all of your positive thoughts to send him off with, I really appreciate everyone's words.

I wish I had more pictures of him. <3 I'll miss the way he'd leap onto the bed during the night and purr against my chest, and how he'd push his face into mine. I'll miss the little black freckles on his nose, and how his claws always clicked on the hardwood floor so we knew when he was coming (we called him Clicky Icky).

This made me so sad.

I got tears in my eyes and I immediately called my cat over and cradled him in my blanket. RIP Ichabod.<3

Awe Veph *big hugs* He looks like he had such character. He looks like he could be my cat's big brother. Awww!
I've been giving my cats so much love today that they're looking at me like ''wtf woman gtfo'' but that just makes me pick them up and kiss them more.

He's a purty cat. Sounds like my cat his claws allways click on the tiles and on the deck.

He was one of the most affectionate cats I've ever owned. His eyes took me in when I first saw him and decided to adopt him. He was always such a cuddler, he'd knead constantly but never with his claws. He followed me everywhere in the house, he'd sneak into my lap while I was on the computer. At night he'd practically suffocate us because he'd come lay across our faces wanting to be as close as possible. He was such a handsome boy, the first orange cat I've ever had.

God I'm crying again, I miss him so much.

Reading all these posts made me start crying too. *hugs Veph* I'm so sorry with the lost of your sweet kitty Veph. I'm glad he passed away peacefully in your arms and remember he's at rest now.

I started crying reading this..I'm so so sorry, no words can ease the pain you must feel, but know that we all care and wish you the best.
I can't imagine what I would feel if I had to put my baby down..Luna means the world to me.

You did the right thing, I'm sure he went peacefully and knew how much you loved him.

I think I've made it through the worst stretch. I've been sleeping a ridiculous amount of hours over the past few days. Lots of sleep, and then lots of distractions. I've been trying to just be myself, staying occupied and giving lots of love to my other pets. If I feel on the brink of breaking down again I just bring up good memories, and remember his peaceful face as I left him curled up in his blanket, in no more pain. He's in a better place now.

Oh, Veph. It's been six weeks since I lost Taffy, and I'm still screwy over it. You're amazing, you know that? You're incredibly strong. You do a much better job of honouring your pets than I do. You're able to pick yourself back up and keep going. I have days where I just snap at everything and days where I don't move from my bed no matter who's calling me and days where I pretend everything is okay and I do it so well that no one knows it's not. You? You're so much stronger than me. I wish I could be that strong.
