Gotta Catch Em' All! The Complete Spirit Beast Collection

I completed my all 9 spirit beast collection yesterday by taming Ankha! I love hunting rares almost as much as I like bragging about having them (who wouldn't right?). I enjoyed the challenge in acquiring them and feel its a true test of patience and will. I spent countless hours hunting my beasties. So what are some of your spirit beast taming stories? Which one was the most elusive? Which is your favorite?

I spent the most time trying to tame Loque'nahak. Back in early Wrath the competition for him was fierce. I had him killed on me many times and had also arrived just in time to see him being tamed. I had finally got him towards the end of wrath during the ICC patch.

I would have to say Loque'nahak is still my favorite. He is the original. He means the most to me because he was the hardest to acquire.

I did this too- with the same theme! I felt as though I was trying to emulate pokemon and started looking for the little red and white balls, but they don't seem to exist in game.

Congrats! I collected all of the spirit beasts as well, just for the feeling of completeness. I let some of them go afterwards, as I didn't really click with a few. But it was a fun challenge. I don't really have any exciting stories about my SB tames though, even my Magria tame was pretty straight forward - stripped before going to Hyjal just in case (and dismissed pet), saw him, landed and tamed. I think I looked for Loque'nahak the longest, but definitely not as long as those of you who went looking for him during Wrath. My most challenging tame was Ban'thalos, only because I had a very hard time landing on that tree!

I have all of them as well, but I am honestly thinking of abandoning Arcturis. I absolutely loathe him and never use him. He's hideous imo. Some people love him, but I just can't stand him. If he weren't so hard to get due to having only one spawn area, I would've already dumped his ugly bear ass.

Congrats on your set, and extra grats on Loque I had a lot of trouble getting him on Whocat in Wrath, it can definitely be a bothersome hunt.

Sarantha, I feel your pain. My boyfriend loves Terrorpene, Arcturis and the red core hounds... I'm not fond of any of them, but keep them around for his sake. Also Arcturis took forever to find ._.

Congrats on them all! I've managed to have them all at once, but in the end let go of Gondria and Ghostcrawler on my main as I did not click with them at all. Love the idea of Ankha and MAgria, but I have not clicked with them 100% yet, so I might let one of them go.

Loque, I agree is the best of the SB. HE was the reason I made a hunter in the first place, and though it took me four blasted months to find him, he is still my top fave sb.

Banthalos, I must say, has quickly become my third most favorite pet in the game (right after Loque and my little black wolf). I tamed mine on a whim when I spotted him. He was the first spawn of himself on my server right after the patch, and nobody knew how to get him. I had an idea thanks to this site, so I managed to get a hold of him before others could figure it out. I didn't thikn I would like him nearly as much as I do. Watching his wings while he is in a fight gives me a rediculous amoung of fun-its like watching a rave with allt eh flashing lights!

I would have to agree! I'm just starting on my taming journey of all the spirit beasts and got Loque'nahak first! Mainly because he is really the only one I truly wanted.
