Poll: Combine Show & Tell with Name That Pet?

I was looking at how people use the Show & Tell and Name That Pet forums and thinking that it might make sense to combine them into a single forum.

Thoughts?

I voted yes because many times the two forums are essentially synonymous. I see a lot of threads where people have tamed a new friend and would like some name suggestions, which then end up in both forums just from what I've noticed. Not saying it's a bad thing, but rather that it makes sense that these two forums would be combined into one big, show & tell/name that pet forum (obviously with a better named I'd imagine XD).

on a forum i used to post on, i loved sub forums, one particular sub forum i and several others completely took over just for ourselves with the forum master occasionally popping in to chat with us (he was awesome) but if you dont go to the subforums often enough it feels more of a hassle to have to go into it for something, ive only used Name That Pet because its designated for posts where people are inquiring about names but so many people ask for names in the same thread as they are showing off their pet so it kind of defeats the purpouse, also doesnt help that people make Name That Pet threads in the show n tell when the subforum is right above the New Topic button. I think it would be good to merge them, makes it so the Mod doesnt need to move the threads to where they really should be (i noticed a few of them had 'moved' beside the title)

In theory I'd like to keep them separate, as I'm more interested in helping people name pets than sifting through all the rare pet tame threads. But in practice, more naming threads are in 'show and tell' than 'name that pet', and the special instructions for the 'name that pet' forum are mostly ignored with many requests not giving any hint as to what sort of name would be appropriate. So we might as well just merge them.

Yes, because a lot of people who show off their pets also ask for names in the same post, having just tamed the pet and not having a name thought up. It would save them from having to make a whole new topic or getting their topic moved all the time. I mostly look at the show and tell forum rather than the naming forum, and if people were able to show off their pets and ask for names in the same topic, I think I would be more helpful. I'm too lazy to click on an extra link, basically.

If they are combined, perhaps Mania could make a stickied 'Name that Pet' thread that anyone could ask for help on. People could still make their own threads if they liked, but I think having a thread dedicated to naming would be nice. And people might be more likely to provide more information about their new pet and naming preferences if prompted within the thread itself.
