I made a few tries at taming Skitterflame today, and I miscalculated just enough that instead of being tamed, he ended up dying in one of my traps. I feel so bad. ><

it's ok. and dont use the trap method. use Scarebeast. the only problem is that he might rin out of range. but otherwise it's fine:)

At least I was able to educate a warlock about the fact that Skitter's a hunter challenge tame instead of a rare that drops loot.

There's a guy in my channel who likes to kill Solix for no reason other than that he can. Not even for the gold. Starkittens knows who I am talking about. But this guy is a complete douchenozzle and I always try and refrain from saying Solix is up when this guy is in the channel. I'm tempted to password my channel and only give it to non-douches. It totally goes against the channel's nature to kill a mob someone could want, especially an actual rare like Solix.

There's so many people in our channel at this point that I rarely have control. I don't even know half the people in the channel now. Others just kept inviting people and it kept growing, and now nearly half the server's hunters are in the channel. Its hard to ask someone you don't know for control to ban someone when there is a possibility the person I'm banning is their friend.

At least the channel turned out to be larger than I ever thought it would be. Lots of people are rarecampers!

Hrm, consolation time. The same hunter I helped tame Ban killed Sian-Rotam when I was taming him. He professed that it was an accident and asked me if there was a way to turn off auto attack when you target something, claiming he accidentally target the pet and shot it because auto attack was on. He's a relatively nice guy, so I do think it was an accident, but it still makes me sad. Pretty white lion dead. =(

I did tame the summoned Echeyakee though, with his help. I had completed the quests and he helped me summon Echey so I could tame my white lion, so no harm done. I still got my lovely white lion model.

Just sad to see Sian die like that. I was gonna give him a home!

Awww....well actually it can be an accident....if you use right click. Right click makes you auto attack. Thats the only way I can see his story being true but since I wasn't there, I can't verify. D:

I think its true. I mean, if he had wanted the pet or wanted to be a dick, he wouldn't have helped me get the white lion by doing the Echeyakee quests for me and then letting me tame him after he was summoned. He would've killed Echey or tamed him himself. He is a bit of a noob, but a usually nice one.

Idiots killed Anthriss again. Same faction idiots, who when asked to stop just lol'd even when I said I would pay each of them 100g, which is more than Anthriss drops. Sigh. Stupid people make me want to strangle this game.

Bleh. I found Karoma, and while looking around for someone to tame her, a DK came along and killed her. I'm sure they just killed it because " It's a rare spawn! ", as when I swooped down to mourn for the poor wolf, they seemed a bit confused. What bothers me though is that I had been asking in our guild's OOC channel for anyone who knew a hunter who wanted to tame it... and then had to give them the bad news, when all of a sudden one of them decided to pipe up with how 'fun' it was to pull pets off of hunters trying to tame them. Especially those pesky Alliance! When I started getting a bit of sympathy from some other guildmates though, they quickly tried to cover themselves by saying that they would never do it to the Northrend spirit beasts because ' Oh, people spend hours and days looking for those! But the Cata ones are fun to kill. ' Uhm, I've been searching for a Cata rare since it came out. I still don't have it.

... Speaking of which, I rehomed Madexx earlier today, which would be a good thing, but that just means that it was the color I don't want. Again. I keep trying to tell myself that I really like red, and it's a rare skin and everything, but I just don't think I'll ever be happy until I can tame Black Madexx :/ God, this is what, over 20 Madexx I've seen and no black?

Jeez, Kirra, come to my server. Black and Green Madexx are all that ever spawn. I rarely see any other color. I saw blue some time back, and tamed him immediately, but never saw anything but green/black since then.

So douchebags killed Anthriss AGAIN for shits n giggles, or, just because they could. Someone TRIED to do it with Karkin, but a nearby hunter stopped him and said he drops nothing and he would pay the pally to leave Karkin alone. The pally just said "o sry" and left without taking the gold, thankfully.

Heh, it's kind of the opposite here, or at least was on Argent Dawn,as I've transferred to Wyrmrest recently and only seen Madexx twice here ( red both times ). I'm under the impression that depending on the server, Madexx picks a very common, common, uncommon, rare, and very rare color to spawn in. On AD, in my observation, brown was the most common, then blue, red, green ( which I only saw once, but have seen a few tamed ones running around ), and I have never even heard of black spawning, let alone tamed it.

I don't even understand what my obsession is. I wanted black really badly, but after never seeing it I was really happy when they made a common version in the Molten front. And.... I never really clicked with the scorpid. I figured I needed -Madexx-, not some fire scorpion. Then after seeing red three times in a row I broke down and tamed it, and decided I really liked the red one after all, and I've used it more than any Madexx yet ( save for the very first I tamed, a bronze, who I went on a PvP spree with for a few weeks, but stuffed in the stables afterwards. ), but it still doesn't feel right. I guess I just really want to tame the black one. :/

Eh it's actually very random. There is no pattern for Madexx. It's total RNG no matter whats server.

Well of course I still find it quite odd that I have seen multiple blue/brown though, and never a black. Black Madexx just hates me, or something. I know it is random, but it really seems that sometimes...
