Favorite Spirit Beast?

Back in Wrath I tried taming a spirit beast just to see what all the talk was about with this rare only family. I decided on Skoll as he looked the coolest. However, I never bonded with him and released him, telling myself the only spirit beast I would ever tame on Wassa would have to be a bird.

Then Banny came...

And I fell in love. <3

Loque is and always will be my top favorite. Ban'thalos is a close second.

I chose Loque. He has the most unique skin out of all spirit beasts. He may look funny to some, but unlike the others he shares that skin with one other mob in the game. AFAIK

I kick myself for not actively playing my hunter when more of the 'unique' pets were available.

This is a tricky subject for me. Arcturis was the first camp I ever really did. I sat for 12 hours for him, but I'm pretty bummed to say he never really bonded with Cali the way I had hoped. Skoll is up there for me because the first time I ever found him, I was just heading down for the tame when two alliance paladins intercepted and killed him right in front of me. I never found him again until much, much later in the expansion. I don't use him much but I LOVE his skin (and the fact that you can't see his face through his butt!) Ankha I value so much because she made me a great friend, who I still talk to even today. Plus, I find her just beautiful, despite her having eyesthroughthebutt-itis. However, like many others, Loque is probably still my favorite. I could never find him throughout Wrath. I couldn't even find him most of Cata. The day I stopped camping and just happened to be flying into Sholazar to pick up my Oracles Egg, there he was, GIANT among the silver gorillas. He basically represents the beginning of rare pet collecting for me, and I'll never forget the feeling of ACTUALLY having the big daddy of spirit beasts in my stable.

TL;DR, for me it goes Loque, Ankha and Skoll. The end.

Um. I kinda like all of them, except for Arc really. Banny kind of gives me a headache for some reason. But my top 3 are: Gondria, Magria and Ankha in no particular order. But I suspect not many are surprised.

Loque is special to me because he is the first spirit beast I ever found. And when I rerolled Novi, Loque was given to me (Ok, she was nice enough to call me over...) by a kind hunter and I never forgot that. Karoma is pretty and was honestly a big accidental tame. I just couldn't find her a home, so I was like, oh what the heck... and she really grew on me.

I voted for Gondria, because I had started hunting her out of sadness. I couldn't find Loque or Aotona ... so I was like, well, might as well try for Gondria. Then there she was! My magnificent purply kitty! She was cooler than I thought. So Novi leveled with her Gondria and it was happy.

Edit: But the ghost kitties? Totes my favorite. I <3 my pack 'o ghost kittehs.

Ban'Thalos. I've been waiting for a bird spirit beast for a long time. And although he's green, he's still absolutely stunning. Ghostcrawler has a lot of charm also.

My Gondria, I love her ^^ I've tamed every spirit beast at one point or another but I'd feel guilty using any other SB aside from my Felidae

I love Loque! I have him on 2 hunters and put forth much effort into getting him. *Snuggles my little leopard spirit beast*

magria!! I love her! Loque took me 2 years to get so he's got a special place in my heart but Maggie is my #1 she is so pretty, cats are one of my favorite pet families, blue is my favorite color, I love her transparency... I just love Magria!!

When I was camping Magria there were about 5 other hunters, 2 of which were taunting me with their Magria, and only one was my friend... I ended up becoming friends with one of the horde (he didn't have any spirit beasts but really wanted some of them) and I found Skoll for him in storm peaks and he rushed over to tame he was happy with Skoll.

So then, all the hunters started leaving..about 2 minutes after everyone except me left...Magria spawned!! I was so happy. Seemed like she was waiting for me!

Loque. Meeting him was such an experience for my Mindala; one of the troll loa in the flesh, who decided to visit her and companion with her at times.

Back again...buuuutttt....
My favorite spirit beasts are, Ankha, Loque, and Arcturis.
Arcturis, because he was my first spirit beast, and will ALWAYS have a place in my heart (I mean, c'mon~ he's a spirit bear, and a pretty cool guy)
Loque, even though all those "minor" skin changes through the years, he is a nice looking model, and has bonded with me.
Ankha, the same reason as I posted before, she reminds me of an old pet I had long ago, named Shadowclaw. I had abandoned it because I had found Deth, and needed a spot (Though, Deth did die, because of some horde druids....). I found Ankha patting around, and knew she had to be mine, just because.

The primary reason I rolled a hunter was to tame that awsome ghost wolf...sadly I made my hunter the same month the ghost wolf was removed from being tamable. So Karoma is my favourite. Loque grew on me as well, I love "ice blue" pets and both of them are awsome for that. though despite how much I love them...Nanaki is still my bestest partner.

I'm glad you changed it to top 3! I don't *dislike* any of the spirit beasts, but of the whole bunch of them, there's only three I ever really bonded with.

Gondria, who was my first spirit beast. I remember finding him while on my priest, screaming in guild channel for someone to take care of him and guard him while I logged Kurasu. One of our paladins came down and tanked him while I got Kurasu, then bubbled out so I could tame him. That was mah Guido. Guido: second-in-command to The Don (my devilsaur). He had to be released, though I still miss him sometimes.

Then came Arcturis. I'd seen him and wanted him for a long, long time, but could never find him. It was years later, I was out doing a casual fly-by while chatting on Vent with some friends, and "OH MY GOD HE'S UP! ARCTURIS IS UP!" And that's where I tamed by beautiful Cheshire girl. Cheshire is still in my stable at the moment. But...

Ban'thalos. Gorgeous, gorgeous Banny. My lovely lady. Calliente (Hot). It was less than a week after Firelands had come up, when I got a whisper from a druid friend of mine: "Hey. There's a ghost owl flying around up here." And screaming madly (literally) I flew my way down there. It was between me and three other hunters, all of us taking turns with varying degrees of help. My druid friend bird-formed and pulled, and coaxed it down to where I had a trap set on the mountainside. Banny was frozen, ended up frying a silly non-hunter who tried to pull it away, and then was tamed... with three onlookers just standing there and watching me go. I was shaking like a leaf. It was the most amazing thing. And Ban'thalos will probably have a special place in my heart for that very thing.

1. Loque'nahak - My very first I ever tamed and the first one I wanted to have SO bad. He's the reason I became a hunter in the first place.
2. Ban'thalos - He's a lightsaver bird....thats useful. What more can be said?
3. Magria, shes just gorgeous!

Even though many people don't like her, Gondria always has been and always will be my favorite. There's just something about her that I find very appealing. I normally don't like transparent animals, but she has this subtle beauty, grace and strength to her. I've had a few spirit beasts but she's the only one I can hang on to. The others...meh.

I personally love all of them, but my top favorites are:

1. Gondria (renamed Kitara) - I had camped this girl for 2 straight days, and the first night she popped in front of someone else who got her, and the second night, the guy I was camping against started talking to me and when she popped, he let me have her as she popped right beside him. He had acquired Loq that same day, and he said he felt bad that he would have 2 and I would be camping again another day, so he kindly let me have her. The kindness the other hunter showed me makes Gondria special to me, plus she is purple, my favorite color.

2. Anhka (renamed Silvertearz)- I just love her, she is my most played pet. On my screen she looks kind of silvery more than green, and the taming story was amusing. I got Magria (who I also love) the night before, and went back the next day to "just look" and there was anhka just running along happily. I landed and started to tame when my daughter screams at me "mom take your armor off! Mom! Mom! Get naked!!" I feigned and jumped up and frantically started smashing my "naked" macro I had made just for these tames.
I jumped on my mount and found her at the edge of one of those circles of mobs. Right as i started to tame, an orc came up and I thought "oh great he'll interfere" but to his credit, he just stood and watched. Halfway through the tame, I got aggro and I died RIGHT as the tame concluded, so both me and anhka fell over dead..(and so did the orc who also got aggro.)

3. Loq (renamed Coconut)- I don't play him much anymore because I play with headphones on and his roar gives me such a headache, but I do love this cat and his unique look. In my mind, being a God and all, he was meant to be "cat like" not a perfect cat. When I found Loq I had actually given up looking for him after 8 days of 12+ hours of camping and 0 success. I found him by the Nesingway Camp, and was very high up in the air. I was so nervous I dismounted midair, and slid across the ground and landed nearly dead at his godly feet lol.

I harbor fond memories of each of the tames for my SB's, and all of them hold a special place in my heart, but I think those three are my favorites

I have Loque, Skoll and Ghostcrawler. While I like Loque and Skoll, the slight model issues bump them below Sparkles I love my sparkle crab!

I fell in love with Magria when I first tamed her.. I love the way she looks and she's the one I play with the most. Skoll and Loque are my other 2 that I like and play with. I try to swap them out every couple of days so that I play with them all, but I find that Magria seems to stay in my active slots the most.
