On The Hunt For a Madexx! [Found a Blue!]

I actually got to the point, near the end, at 12 Madexx sightings, where I cried when I saw the wrong colour.

I did cry once because of a pet. Loque was my obsession. I HAD to have him. It wasn't just a want, it was a need when it came to him. Took me 5 months of painful waiting and it made me insane. And one time during my search a belf purposely kept his Loque out all by itself in the northern spawn location. He hid himself and watched as other hunters, myself included, passed it by... which alerted NPC scan of course. And I had thought to myself at first, "OMG Loque and in his spawn spot!" .....I had been camping for hours that day and was tired so I didn't realize at first that it wasn't really him cause I forgot to try to target him. So after I landed, I then tried to target him but if wouldn't work. And the belf came out and did a "/no" to me, and I literally burst into tears. It seems silly, but I thought I finally found him.... yet I was deceived and being tired didn't make me feel good about the situation at all. Loque in the wild is a bit bigger obviously, but I didn't realize it wasn't him at first cause I was tired and in panic mode because of NPCscan. I really hate when people hang around exact spawn spots with pets when questing, although I can usually forgive them cause they just want to use their pet... but hanging out there to trick people or get them excited for no reason on purpose is just plain dirty. And it wasn't until I had given up that he finally decided to appear to me. *sighs* I still can't believe I cried over a pet, and I'm not in love with Madexx enough to really get myself to that point like I did with Loque. Not saying I don't really like Madexx.... its just not worth my sanity. So yes, I have given up, pretty much due to my lack of remaining game time, but I have Kuori (my bronze clone) so I am satisfied enough.

*hugs* your best bet hun is not to camp but just to do casual checks every now and then. Id reccommend doing them in the early AM, less people in uldum. *hugs* You can also just go to uldum to find the camel mount, going there for something else and then casually looking will help alot

The only way to prevent myself from going crazy was to do casual flybys or hunt camel statues instead of Madexx in Uldum while desperately wanting blue. I ended up finding him when I least expected it and when he was way off his normal spawn timer. He spawned 5 hours or less after a previous Madexx color had been tamed, so this was a huge oddity. I ended getting him and got about 4 camel statues that ended up turning to dust. I had just finished looting a camel statue near the quest hub area in Sahket Wastes and was flying toward another camel marker on the map, and bluey popped up. As I said in my post about it, most heart-pounding tame of my life!

Not sure you guys got the true point as to why I really had to give up (granted I really didn't want to drive myself nuts waiting for months over a pet again, but I probably would keep looking) However, I'm actually out of game time right now, and I am not planing to buy more since I have no reason to with none of my friends or brother or bf playing anymore. Its just kinda boring. I wanted to camp Madexx cause it was always the pet I avoided, since I particularly wanted a certain color, just a shame I waited until I had limited game time left to do it. I probably would have kept looking here or there had I still had game time, but as I said I have a bronze lookalike to keep me satisfied since I do like it (I just would have preferred a green though).

And to note... I have no interest in the camel mount/title. So besides going to Uldum for whiptail on my druid, or leveling an alt... I really have no desire to be there. So its another reason why Madexx is an annoying pet for me to get. I just don't like going there... and its not really a fly by if I only go to the zone on Neyaari to circle the Madexx spawn spot, since I really don't want a camel (I personally don't like the camel mounts at all. I have two on my priest cause of her exalted rep and I think they look really silly, so I never use them). Also I see no point in getting Ney any sort of camel or new ground mount anyways, since I have the best ground mount for her already... which is a tan talbuk! Only certain mounts tend to interest me. I'm just not a mount crazed person... each of my characters has like one or two mounts that I think of as their "signature" mount. Oh, and its not like I hate Uldum either, cause I enjoyed questing there... but once all my toons were done there, I had no reason to go back except for one type of herb, but thats only on my druid.

Figured I would end this thread. I didn't get the green Madexx, but I did get a blue! And you know what? I love my little blue one. I also still have the red one, and I love that one too. It was a nice welcome back to WoW, considering the first time I checked the area since my break he was there. And I named "her" Clementine.... yes mine is a girl. And so is my red one, I named that one Poppy (like the flower, not the seed lol)

So the Madexx hunt is over!

Blue is much better than green, imo. Kirix is my "green" pet.

At the time I sorta liked the green a bit more, but I do like the blue better. I think it was just meant to be.

I know exactly what you mean! I'd have eaten my shoe if it meant me getting a green Madexx. Then, the black one came along and stole his way into my heart, and I haven't looked back since.
