Best addon for camping Poseidus?

As you know I don't like camping for rares but I'll camp for a rare if it drops a mount. So I'm new to the whole camping rares thing and the only addon I have is Guppet >.> any advise to do and to use? I've got a map of his spawn places.

NPCscan/Silverrare combine, really. That's what I use.

I just used NPCscan the two times I got him (no I wasn't farming to sell him or anything despicable, once was for a friend who was unable to camp).

unfortunately the only addons i know of that will work are Silverdragon (or Silverrare as meep said, never heard of that one but theres all sorts of random addons floating in addon-space that i dont know about lol), and NPCScan (and NPCScan Overlay which has ingame locations in colors on your map and minimap).

Any addons that help do the camping for you (like keeping you logged in past the auto-log out mechanism for being afk too long or any, if they exist, that auto travels you to spawns) are botting and will get you frozen for good if caught.

I wouldnt use NPCScan and NPCScan Overlay together if you are also using another tracking addon like SilverDragon or Silverrare because Overlay does make the spawn locations vanish on your map till you clear your cache but if your using NPCScan and a second tracking addon, Overlay never when you clear the cache restores the spawn point on the map.

Oh, when I said Silverrare, I meant silverdragon my mistake! I was talking about killing rares to force TLPD/Aeonaxx out of hiding before that!

Spamming this will clear your target, try to target poseidus, if found: it will enable sound if you have it off, play Mimiron's "MEDIC!!" sound, and say something in party chat if you have friends helping you. If not found, it will not do anything.

I don't see any advantage using this when you already have NPC scan, as once addon finds the target it will give you a clickable icon in the middle of screen. Which then you can just simply click and check your minimap to see where exactly you found it.

Well she is lucky in that camping for Poseidus, that wont be a problem. =P Since the mob can only be found there and it not being a tame-able one. But it has gotten to the point for me, I usually just instinctfully clear my Cache folder before I even log into WoW at all now. lol.

I used to have Silverrare. It gave me SO many bug issues. >.<

I found Aeonaxx while leveling my other mage. The toon I was leveling was an alt, so I would have felt awful if I had killed Aeonaxx for myself, so I summoned a friend to get the mount. She was so grateful and insanely happy and actually offered to pay me 5k. I turned it down. It just felt like the right thing to do. If I had tried getting there on my main before someone got Aeonaxx, it would have been too late, I am sure, so I could at least get it for my friend. I'm not really a mount camper. Too much frustration, so I felt happy for her. Poseidus would be awesome to have, but I'm not sure he's worth camping. Silverdragon is how I found Aeonaxx though. Its an awesome addon.

Uhm, stupid question, but can Poseidus be used anywhere but Vashjir? If not, uh, why have him unless you are going for the 100 mounts achievement?

He can be used anywhere water is. But he goes as fast as the turtle, so. It's mostly a for funsies. I found Poseidus once and traded for a vial. My friend was very happy, so.

Oh. Is he BoE once you loot the mount? Or did you just agree to summon the person to his location in exchange for a vial?

The reins that drop are BoE, which is why you might see bots or sellers camping it too. I honestly just bumbled into him.

Well I want him becouse I just like collecting mounts XD I don't have the turtle so I'd like atleast one water mount useable everywhere.

So I got NPCScan just now and um how do you use it? Do I have to type something in for it to track poseidus? and do I have to be near it or just in the zone?
