So the raid was clowny. xD And there is that one part at the end where everyone takes a bunch of damage, but it's still not fatal if people aren't dumb.

I admit clowning around isn't all that bad- mean not seriously doing it but when you're waiting for your RL to go grab a tank because 'lol disconnect' you gotta do something to kill time.

So we dicked about at the entrance. Or like in ToC[5man], tank in a dress on a wolf.

But yeah when you half ass something because you wanna clown around and think your gear is gonna make you overdps or overheal or overtank to compensate for the stupidity, then I hope you squish.

There is also a difference between "chain pulling trash packs and running back to the tank because the tank is awesome and can handle it" and "loltotempull leading into lolhunterdisengage triple pull."

The Naxx stupidity I'm thinking of offhand?

- Attempting to ninja by one of the spider packs en route to Anub to "save time." It didn't save time in early LK and it doesn't save time now. Can blow through the pack in about five seconds with killer dps; why try to skip it and force a wipe?
- lolencountermechanics. Raz was the weekly on Dethecus last week and the first pug I attempted to do for my priest had two tanks who didn't understand how the fight worked. Oh, and neither did the other healer. This meant that the adds were tanking without bone shield up and weren't getting healed a whole lot. (I can only do so much as disc, since the other healer was a pally, which meant I was better suited to heal the raid....so I had to do both.) You can outgear that encounter by a long shot, but you're NOT going to down Raz without executing the fight properly.

It's not that hard, really; people are just dumb and lazy.

It's also one thing when you are with a group of friends or guildies and are just having a good time, another when some one is just flat out being dumb. I don't mind people clowning around, it can lead to some very.....interesting situations.

And then you get to yell things like "GET THAT JELLOGNOME OUT OF THERE!"

Bah! Horrible healer today in Heroic Nexus on Mazz. Turns out, he felt I shouldn't be tanking because my gear wasn't good enough. I have 26k health or so, and 545 ish defense. He got real snippy and complained the entire way... and I'm positive he didn't heal me several times just out of spite. I looked at the healing taken for one of the boss attempts, and one DPS had three times as much healing as me. Seriously.

Not to mention he kept complaining on DPS, insulting the other people like they were beneath his ass... Grr!! Such a prick.

I remember a while ago I basically got called One of those players. Who dick around and cause wipes- when it's we dicked about before starting the raid as there's nothing else to do. Or we were all having fun on trash cause ignis trash was really surprising for lulz.

But yesterday I got a naxx 10man for the weekly, that had one of those players.

But this was more of two bear tanks who deemed they were overgeared enough to pull around 15 mobs or more in naxx for the MC boss, so that's a shitload of Deathknights and etc. One tank stupidly dies, and ofc my pet dies as why the fuck would Sunscale even last more than one/two hits against a frigging raid mob? I mean sure my pet dying is better than a healer or the second tank or a dps but good lord.

THEN. ONTOP OF THIS FUN.

Aria and Gex go 'BRB SUMMONING LAST DPS NOW' when we got to boss.

Healer goes 'oom' in chat and goes to drink.

DUMBO ONE AND HIS WING COMMANDER GO AND START THE BOSS.

T_T wipe cause yeah all but 1 dps for sure, aka me, died.

We managed a second attempt when Aria, Gex and the lock got in but my god these bleeding idiots turned a fun 15 minutes into a nightmarish encounter.

I had a fun one last night. This paladin joins in cloth.....Yes, I know clothadin is viable. I still hate it, and he even had an offhand instead of a shield. Well, I can forgive that if you can heal, but people kept dying. Well, finally me and the druid start having to back up heal to make up for this guy sucking. We finish that pull, and this guy goes "I got heals. I don't need you. Stop fucking healing." Well, that pissed me off enough in and of itself. But then I notice, on the next pull, that one of his heals left Sheathe of Light on me. Sheathe. Of. Light. THE DEEP RETRIBUTION TALENT. I said "No. No. No he isn't. No." I force myself to check his talents. 58 POINTS IN RETRIBUTION. I said "Alright, that's enough. Next time you want to heal, -healer name-, TRY USING A HEALING SPEC YOU MORON!" And then I left.

Ryno claps halfheartedly, clearly not impressed.

People healing with a non-healing spec are bleh. I mean, sure, at some lower levels it can work, but usually it involves one or more people using heirlooms and being a bit high for the dungeon...

And, to share something since I'm posting here and all...

My paladin was tanking Sunken Temple, fun fun. Two hunter DPS in the group, with shammy healer, and warlock. For some reason the hunters kept pulling threat off of me. I saw yeah, a few times it was because they attacked too fast for me to get threat, but others it was hard to really pinpoint why (YES I HAD RIGHTEOUS FURY ON LOLOLOL). Just was rather frustrating... not to mention, one hunter kept pulling the troll mini-bosses when I was tanking the group before them... as if pulling the boss sooner like that helps... and it's not like he pulled it back to the rest of the group, he was killing it in its spot, with us still in the other room...

I've healed as feral before, but it doesn't flow well. Like I said, if you can do it, and we don't die then that's great. But don't be a moron when people have to cover for you!

Was the hunter using distracting shot, Ryno?

I can heal in moonkin spec and healing gear, but I don't like it. Ditto shadow and healing. Moot point anyway, since both toons are dual specced.

As for those hunters, it just sounds like they had a lot of passive threat on you. Like Palla suggested, it could have been distracting shot on individual targets...or maybe crate wasn't hitting everything. There's a lot of casters in there.

Two stories, both on my new hunter, yay for lower level idiots!

First one, get into a group for WC with a shaman healer, rogue dps, warrior (I think) and a druid tank. I've got Rantoth with me, so I'm expecting a bigger bear. Druid goes kitty. I just stare for a minute..then he pulled as kitty. Pfft, fine, one mob, whatever. Does it again. Shaman says 'Go bear' and his response? 'No, I like cat better.' Oh, this is going to be fun. He yells out just after the third pull, when someone told him to go bear for the armor, he yells out 'DO I HAVE TO BE BEAR FOR EVERYTHING,' just like that. After about five pulls I check his spec, if he's got it alright then maybe he can get the kitty tank going. He Completely Resto spec. *facepalm* I left after the healer left and the druid kept Pulling. You, kitty druid arse, are now on my ignore list.

Second was a WC (surprise surprise) already going that I get teleported in to. Healer is nice, says hi. Tank says something along 'yay a hunter' and then goes afk for a minute. Comes back, we start going. He's a pally tank. He's got RF going, consecrate, I give him a few seconds, send my bear in...bear pulls off him. Oookay, give him longer next time, no pulling off, but the mob was half dead when I finally attacked.

He takes a pull, and manages to get a caster attacking the healer. While Ran is going off after the ones he's killing I go after the caster. The other mobs die before I get the caster down so Ran accidentally pulls. He tells me to take Growl off...not even seeing the healer get hit. I told him it's off, he asks why the bear pulled. I said I was getting something off the healer...and he ignores my comment. Fine. Then he asks why I have the bear. It's Deathclaw, the diseased cutie from Bloodmyst. He calls my bear UGLY. I go quiet in party while the others laugh at him.

We end up wiping because he pulled, one of the mobs ran off (my Rantoth on his current target, ha!) and the other dps pull another pack. Healer is dead quick, we almost get the first pack dead and we all die. Eh, fine, whatever, used to it. Go back in...the tank, the stupid tank, asks 'can someone tank while I go afk for eight minutes?' That was the point where I said eff this and just left. Try and blame a bad pull on me, though I do admit Rantoth pulled but...LoS exists on any level there tank. Then go and Insult the bear that I went to Bloodmyst Just to get? Hmph. Then a huge afk...I'm okay with big afk's..in raids when you've wiped a few times. WC is huge, but still...

The only time I had offspeccs healing- IE not healing speccs, were three times afaik.

The first was for Nexus, where Caim's health was melting faster than sin. At the time I only had I think Tauntmaster, if even that, for my tanking addon. I had nothing for heals or anything like that and half the time I never focus on the green spam as I'm focusing on my glow and making sure my glow is fucking pissing off all the mobs to keep them off everyone else.

When I finally realize how fucking close I've come to dying on trash, on bosses, on everything, I check the guy and he's NOT RESTO. HE WAS ELEMENTAL. I snarl and yell at him in chat to pick up the heals- cause i didn't want to leave Nexus I just wanted to get it over and bloody well done with by that point. And he doesn't. He just fucking doest.

So by the end of the dungeon it was almost enough to drive me insane and off tanking forever.


Next run- since all that fun cased me to forget SEVERAL quests. I have a retridin. But he actually bleeding heals me- ofc this doesn't make up for the fact that now I realize he was pulling the same thing yours was Palla, but then again he was backing up his heals, it wasn't heroic and I always tended to use SoL and JoL.


The final one was for VH; had a boomkin doing an effective job at healing..... untill she started lacking and slacking off worse than sin. Left a dps to rot basically, didn't bother with rebirth OR revive and I'd already used Yas's gnomish knife on the dude and nada. She finally went tree when she could and I realized why.

She didn't want to fucking work. And no it wasn't cause she was going oom, she had plenty of mana between trash waves and on the bosses :|

So as the european Petopians might know, I've been farming Hellfire Ramparts for Hellreaver, a polearms I want not just for stats but for the fact that it looks like I want a runesword to look. Anyhow, after FIFTEEN runs it drops. I'm all Yay! in chat and whatnot. Not pallies, dks or warriors to take it.

The hunter needs on it. He wins it. I tell him to trade it, since it's got STRENGTH! He goes "yah but it looks awesome".

Then he asks me to give him 300gold for it. At that point I logged off.
