Meet Savage!

Unread post by Sesamee »

I happen to love the Jormungar worms. They're so creepy and cute at the same time. I had a white one and I did like him but had to release him to free up a slot a while ago. I never really got around to taming another one until now. I came across this model on Petopia and figured I'd give him a try. I named him Savage. I don't even know why except that named popped into my head and it fits him.

His wild model is HUGE!! I get a kick out of this screenshot!
Image

I love their faces. They're so adorable in a weird unexpected way!
Image

He must be happy to be tamed because he sure is haming it up for the camera! :D
Image

He looks gorgeous with one of my transmog sets! I love his colors and am goona have him hang around for a while and see if we click. With the upcoming buff to their aoe ability I have a feeling he might see quite a bit of action!

Jormungers are really cute. I go tame a purple one now and then and bring him to Heroic Sethekk Halls - their aoe is fun to use on the Anzu fight.

D'aww, Jormungars are just the most adorable creatures ever. Hee, Rancid makes the same face at the camera, I love it! xD

I think we need a Jormungar appreciation thread. :D

Thanks for all the nice comments! I thought no one would really be into Jormunger's. I find it interesting that I'm clicking with so many WoW pets like crocolisks, spiders, worms, etc. IRL I'm more of a mammal person and want pets who love me back, lol.

Yay, congratulations! I, too, love jormungars. I think they are so adorable! Another thing that's nice is that I think all their colors are nice, not just one.

My devilsaur, Grumpasaurus, would like to have a word about non-mammals not being able to return pixellated affection. ;)
After every mob we kill Grumpy comes running back to me with a dopey grin on his face and he proceeds to do his roar idle as he's running as his way of saying "Didja see me Mom?! Didja? Didja see what I did?!" He's very much affectionate and wants his mommy's approval.

Also, kudos on your lovely jormungar; I actually think their old world counterparts are more under-appreciated, but either way they're fabulous pets! :D

Oh sure! My non mammal pixelated pets are very affectionate! I just meant that in real life most insects or reptiles don't have the brain function to bond or return affection the way mammals (and birds!) do! My Devilsaur, Vixen, is very attatched to me! I thought it would be nice for her to have a boyfriend in King Krush but she's not taking to him so far. I can hear her throwing hissy fits from the stables everytime I have him out instead of her! It sucks as I was hoping for some baby Devilsaurs by next expansion!!

Grats on the new pet! I just...can't stand those worms. I hate that they call them Jormungars. THEY ARE NOT SNAKES! WHY ARE THEY NAMED AFTER A GIANT SNAKE!? Sorry. Always hated them for that reason. In other news, I tamed a normal white worm. He is awesome. I WOULD tame a white Jor, but I just can't. ><

So I took Savage to my weekly Molten Core run and he was terrible at holding aggro. And his special ability maybe was bugged but it only worked a few times I tried to use it. I'd press the hotkey and nothing! Does it maybe not work under certain circumstances? When it did work it immediately dropped all his aggro and I had the mobs on me. No big deal in MC but in a tougher instance I can see that being a problem. Is that normal or a glitch or bug or something? I ended up finishing with my croc, Casanova, and the aggro difference between the two was noticeable. Weird!

I'm pretty sure Burrow does dump aggro. Happened to me when I was doing runs for Anzu. I eventually started bringing my trusty turtle Sheldon. :)

Yes, Burrow intentionally drops aggro. They can't tank while burrowing, they're just a big AoE puddle. You can still use them, if needed stand where you want him to Burrow, pop deterrence, and hopefully he kills the mobs before you take too much damage.
