I ran into an old friend the other day

I spent some time grinding alchemy skill on my young Tauren priest over the weekend. Since he was still only 72, I figured trying to farm up Icethorn and Lichbloom with him would result in some fun trips to local graveyards. So I hopped over to my hunter. My first stop was Wintergrasp, but I got there just a little before a battle was going to start, so I flew over and farmed a bit in Storm Peaks and Icecrown, then on over to Scholazar Basin for some Adders tongue and Goldclover.

While swooping down to snag some Goldclover, I spotted someone familiar:



Dang, I'd forgotten how big that fella is. He makes Grumpy look positively puny:




I tried for nearly 10 minutes to find a hunter who wanted to tame the big green guy. I couldn't find anyone. I sat there, watching him strutting along like the king of the Basin. I couldn't bring myself to kill him for the Northrend achievement, so I flew off and left him in peace.

i know the feeling. I have given up on the achievement. Because i dont want to kill theese awesome looking hunter pets!

When I camped him for a mate I couldn't believe how big he was when he spawned! In the excitement of my own tame I forgot how big he was

I know tanks and melee hated it, but I wish they'd make devilsaurs bigger again. I'm not badmouthing Grumpy's looks, but you can see so many more details on Krush before he's tamed. And really, c'mon, he's a trex! He's supposed to be big!

All my devilsaurs have been named Grumpy, after the dino in Land of the Lost. I always liked that show (didn't bother with the movie). This Grumpy actually has the right color for the name, though.

I figure devilsaurs have a real attitude. Looking at the pictures, I can easily imagine something like:

Krush: Outta my way stupid rhino!
Rhino: Jerk!
Krush: Outta my way puny mammoth!
Mammoth: What the hell? Why should I?
Krush: Cuz' I'm a motherf**kin DINOSAUR! That's why!
