Urgent Annual Pass Question!

Hi guys!

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I'm trying to find a clear answer to my questions quickly!

1) My 6 month subscription had automatically renewed itself like 1 month before the annual pass was announced ._. So, if I sign up for the pass now - how long will I be paying for? Will it be 18 months (the 6 months that just came off my card + the 12 month pass) or will I just need to pay for another 6 months to make up the 12 months? xD

2) Anyone got any ideas as to how long this pass will be offered for? If I just need to pay for 6 months to 'top-up' my sub to the annual pass freebies, then I would go for it, but otherwise I'm not sure I could commit to 18 months of WoW atm (especially with Christmas and the uncertainty of jobs!)

The way I was explained with it...So you've already pre-paid for 6 months, 1 month ahead of the Annual Pass. So I believe that means signing up for the Annual Pass is just the agreement that you'll be playing (paying) for another 12 months. So, 12 - 5 (The months you've already paid for ahead of time.) means you'll only be paying for 7 more months worth of game time.

Least, thats how it was explained to me.

( Edit - This is how it was explained to me coming from a guy who used to work for Verizon Wireless and delt with alot of questions regarding Agreement / Plans to their cellphones. )

Ah!! I just checked, and my next renewal should be April, so in fact I've JUST paid for 6 months >< I just didnt know if I would have to pay for 18 months because my account is badly timed haha!

You can sign up now, and in 6 months it will just re-bill you like it would anyway. Your current billing cycle does not have to change.

But would I just pay for another 6 months to qualify for the freebies? : / I hate how Blizz haven't considered putting up answers to these questions - not everyone's billing is due just as the pass was announced

Nothing changes at all, you don't have to pay for anything upfront. Think of it like a 1 year contract with Blizzard. When you sign up, you have the option of picking when you want to be billed. So if you pick the 6 month option, then in 6 months you get billed for 6 months of game time. If you sign up today, or tomorrow, it doesn't matter. Your not charged anything at all, it does NOT effect your billing cycle at all.

Yes basically the 1 year commitment sits on top of your billing method - it's kind of a good faith agreement to keep going.
