How to deal with stackers?

So I decided to try my luck on TLPD with my Orc hunter Morga, who is my toon to collect mounts. I don't camp a lot and like the place where most of the paths come across. I never go there when someone is already parked there and move to waterfall. But I recently noticed a human pally that starts showing up and parking himself in the same spot as me. I was there first so I emoted him /go, not wanting to be rude (like with /shoo). He ignored me. I don't have the slot to creat an alt to whisper him. Should I move over or stay in the spot and wait for him to leave?
Has anyone ever had the same "problem"? And what did you do? What would you do in my situation? I don't have a lot of time (and the will) to camp each day, perhaps one hour a day.

So right now, while typing this, NPC-Scan scares the shit out of me and it's Trollagosa. The pally kills her, although I had been there first and still need her for the dang achievment. I just don't know what to do about him.

I had a camper! a mage that killed me for a whole night! Because i was in his camp spot.! A friend of mine made a char and talked to him.! So he quitted ganking me.! He is allways in the same spot. But he issnt in the same spot if i am there.


The thing i do if there is stackers.! I just /shoo! And dont move.! I dont think anyone wants to stay in the same camp spot.! So if something spawns.! then u have to compeet with the other person. Naah the stackers wont stay long if they have a mind haha!.

I would move. Go somewhere quiet, like Waterfall, or Ulduar. If you camp for such a short time, it might aswell be yours when it spawns. When the mountain doesn't come to the prophet, the prophet goes to the mountain, or how that saying goes...

Sadly ignorant people are ignorant. There isnt really a spot that vyr/tlpd seem to spawn more so the decision is up to you if you want to move or deal with having to get to it first which is never fun. If you only have a limited time to camp you could always just do casual flybys, or wake up in the early early morning to go and check. I to had a stacker on me alot, a horde who would park on me at the frost spawn.. it was incrediably annoying. Worked out for me though cause my usual camp spot he was at, so I said screw it and camped at ulduar and TLPD spawned right on me so.. sometimes stackers are a blessing in disquise! Your best bet is just to not stress about it and if you have to move to a different spawn point. Worst case sceanerio is that TLPD spawns there but if hes stacking on you and he gets it first its rough... really rough, this way two spawn points are covered and if he gets it first thats one less person you have to deal with.

I would move, I was at frozen lake for weeks and I had problems with stackers who would just sit there with me..so finally for the last few weeks I moved to waterfall,and it was the best decision, I had no problems...just move to a quiet spot TLPD will spawn for you one day near or on the spot your on..you just need a lot of patience ..

Either it was Ally or Horde, I wouldn't argue or anything - just move.
I was camping at Bors' one day, Horde player came and sat next to me. So I just mounted, flew to Waterfall, and the second I landed, TLPD spawned.

So, in my opinion - just change your spot, dont bother talking to them.

Thank you for all the advice. I guess if I meet him again tomorrow, I will move to Ulduar or waterfall. I never had problems with horde-members. Mostly I get asked kindly if I camp for TLPD and when I answer with "yes" they normally move and wish me luck. My own faction seems quite nice and supporting on my server. I once met a nice Belf who told me the last spawn of Trollagosa (can't get the name out of my head... I think it was Chaoyll who started it with the pic of Vyra with the trollface).

Try Brunnhildar too if thats not taken, you can fly between Waterfall and Brunnhildar every so often, and even eagle eye (i use eagle eye a lot when im sitting at waterfall, im not sure how well you can see waterfall to eagle eye from brunn)

There is a macro for eagle eye that let's you keep casting it over and over so I could sit in one spot and looking at the whole map for it. I think it goes:
/cast !eagle eye

And you can spam it to look at the entire zone (I looked at Zul Drak too while camping to see if Gondria was up).

Anyways, I never would leave my spot if someone showed up after I did. Most people who stack don't have patience and will leave after about 10min. Been the case for me anyways.

Personally I either ignored them until they moved or counter-stacked.
Only one stacker I got was persistant and I too lost a Vyragosa to him. Opening a ticket and notifying his guild got him all crying in my face though about...something. Fairness or something. Can't remember. It was hypocritical though. /storytime

They tend to get pissy themselves when there's 3-5+ people sitting on /their/ spawn point. A lot of people who stack to actually try and camp and cut people off only do it for kicks and if they can't get their kick because they'll probably lose it themselves...Yeah.

Not to mention if 3+ of those people are friends you can ask to come up to help tag if it does spawn while in a party it's yours.

I played dirty with stackers I'll admit but nobody I knew would even let them try to put up with it. I don't know if you've got any friends willing to lend a hand from time to time but it really does deter them when they get stacked on themselves while stacking.

I've always moved. I'd rather be in the worst possible spot (like ulduar ravine) than have someone else in my vicinity.

While camping Aeonaxx I saw an entire guild come sit on all the spawn points. I guess one of their members had seen the bat 6 hrs prior and thought they could get the mount by swamping the zone. I simply chose one spot and waited it out... I knew I had infinitely more patience than they did. Within an hour most of them had left and I went back to a better spot. The next day Aeonaxx spawned for me.

Thank you all for your tricks and advices. I camped 4 hours today while cleaning and doing the laundry and the pally never showed up. Perhaps he has lost his interest after killing Vyragosa. I do fly-bys at waterfall and Brunnhildar for the Brunnhildar-daily (still hoping for the bear mount after 2 years *sigh*) and just hope TLPD will show himself eventually for me.

I could ask my fiance to help me camping if we wait for a dungeon together, but usually it's just me. I camp while everyone is at work and I have free time after/before university.

I'd honestly just move. But if you're an eng, think about getting a helicopter. The sound drives most stackers bezerk, from what I've done, and they go bye bye.

Honestly there is no polite way to make someone leave with emotes - /go, /shoo, etc are all just different shades of imperious.

I know everyone else says to move and what-not...but, to me that's like giving up. x.x heh.

The way Ive always done it, is if someone else is already in a spot I want to camp, that's fine, I move on. But if I find a camp spot, and no one else is in it but me, that's mine. And I don't move until I want to. Eventually the stackers and griefers that hang around to try to get your spot usually get the hint. Waiting them out seems to upset them more so and they usually run off. Thats how its been with me at least. I usually try to be polite at first, I whisper them to inform them they are free to stick around if they want to, but that I wont be moving any time soon. If they are nice I let them know what time I do intend to be moving on. (On my TLPD Camp, after I got my drake, I informed the other camper in the area that it had spawned, and that he was free to take over my frozen lake spot since I wouldn't be coming back. He didn't seem upset at all that he missed the mount, but was glad I'd let him know exactly where he should be camping and a small time frame of when to come back.)

For the few not quite so polite other people who have attempted to stack ontop of me during a camp, I've also let them know that I was there before them, and that I'll either be attempting to tame the pet because I was there first / before them, or I will kill the thing before having some Griefer/Stacker/Spot stealer try to take it. That usually makes them move eventually because they also don't want to deal with having something killed or taken out from under them. Might be a bit of a dick way to go about it, but I feel that being respectful towards someone who is being disrespectful isnt worth trying to stay within a morale standard.
