Opinions on the new dungeons

Unread post by Lisaara »

I figure we should express our opinions on the new dungeons. Please keep it civil!

End Time - I have to say...this is my favorite by far. It's quick. Not very stressful. PRetty straightforward. Plus...you get 5 rewind buttons. "Oh tank was derpy? REWIN!" "Oh healer died? REWIND!" xD So much fuuuun.

Well of Eternity - 2nd favorite. Illidan FTW! I love fighting beside him and the end is just chaos...XD It makes it enjoyable.

Hour of Twilight - Eh kinda boring just escorting Thrall but its simple, not stressful. I expected a little more than just the escort.

End Time - Pretty fun. I LOVE the Baine fight, and the Tyrande fight was fun, too. I also liked the last boss, too.

Well of Eternity - Only did first boss. Sorta fun. But I lag horribly, though.

Hour of Twilight - Havent done this. Looks fairly simple, though.

I'm really enjoying all of them. ^^ I think Well of Eternity might be my favourite. It can be a bit trickier than End Time, but I just love the entire run. It's also neat being back in Dragonblight during Hour of Twilight.

I haven't done the new dungeons yet, but I have done the new raid. So far it's a joke, at least the first three bosses we did. We one shot them. =/ Firelands is harder.

Not that's it's bad that we have an easy raid for gear. Just with how difficult raiding has been this expansion I was expecting more. Hopefully the other bosses are more of a challenge.

I like the last fight of End Time, of course, and I enjoy running with Illidan, and Azshara is cool for a ranged with an interrupt. Everything else, eh.

End Time - Love this dungeon so much! Very simple, easy, and they're very quick. Though since Noz is my favourite aspect, I always feel so bad for him...The burden he carries...

Well of Eternity - Illidan!! I can actually get a feel for who he is. Love this one.

Hour of Twilight - Only donr this one once so far, but it was prettg good. A bit more annoying to tank.

I must say I've found some dungeons I not only enjoy the look of, the lore of and Very much enjoy tanking them. Thats something I haven't been able to really say about most dungeons. I ENJOY tanking them. I really hope that more dungeons are like these ones in the future. Whether DPSing or tanking, they are breath taking. I may have to actually break out my shammy again and see about getting her into them as well and see if all 3 rolls are enjoyable. I hope so.

End Time - Really enjoyed this one, not to hard and gives some variety. Plus the last boss is fun.

Well of Eternity - My fave of the 3, beautiful scenery and story. Love Illidan and it's not to long or short and the fights are enjoyable (hide and seek boss ftw).

Hour of Twilight - really enjoyable, but my least fave of the 3. It seemed a little lacking, but wasn't to long so I still enjoyed it.

I'm still yet to try them but they don't sound bad. I take it there isn't quite the learning curve that existed with the troll 5 mans?

I was hesitant to pug them till I'd tried them with friends first but they were all busy. Maybe pugs won't be so bad.

In general, I like the quick pace of the 3 new dungeons. After ZA / ZG, I'm pretty tired of having to do 5 to 6 bosses and tons of trash each run.

End Time - Probably my favorite because it's quick and easy. I also like the fact that this dungeon reveals the death Nozdormu will eventually face, and why. Also like the randomness of getting different possible bosses.

Well of Eternity - My least favorite of the 3. I enjoyed the lore and story line here, but the queen fight and end fights weren't my favorite. This is the one instance where you want players with awareness to do things like DPS the puppet hand, interrupt the queen, etc.

Hour of Twilight - This one was kind of "meh". Most escort quests are, so that's not a surprise really.

Depends on the pugs' gear/intelligence. I definitely carried most, if not all, of my groups on dps. And I'm in full PvP gear.

I like the ones I have done so far, there a tad tricky but easy at the same time. At the end of some bosses I just pause for moment going, that's it ?

they tuned them very well, complex, challenging, but very doable. not bang your head against the wall like when the heroic 5mans first came out at the start of Cata.

I enjoyed them, though the end of Well of Eternity was insane--I had no idea who I was supposed to be attacking after Varo'Then died, and spent too much time hosing down adds when I should have been fighting the boss. I also completely missed the gimmick that staying close to Illidan would soak fire damage...good thing we had a pro healer on that run.

I also got mind-controled *every* *single* *time* on the Queen fight. Guess she just doesn't like dwarves.

End Time - Definitely my favorite of the three. I really hated having to fight Baine, though. I almost wonder if it's under-tuned, but then the group I did it with was all fairly well raid geared. I'll never get tired of the rewind in the Noz fight. Man I love that.

Well of Eternity - Not bad, though it did look a lot like Sunwell. I just want to know why Illidan walks like that even when he's not shadowmelded/stealthed or whatever. I mentioned that in Vent during the instance and the concensus was that he really needed to take a bio break.

Hour of Twilight - Again, not bad. My least favorite of the three, since it's kinda just a long escort quest. At least Thrall is useful in it, unlike Sylvanas was in Halls of Reflection. Also, one of the others in the group pointed out that Thrall runs like a male Draenei in there, not like a male Orc.

I thought about that too and said something to my friends on vent. We were like "Illidan, pull out your wedgie!"

I really liked them, but I only played them with my healer, and in that aspect I can say that it's a bit of a relief that there aren't many "one error, massive punishment" mechanics present.

And the rewind button is just godly, seriously.

I love them.

I'm valor capped on several characters and still grinding them; they're so much fun! They're the perfect difficulty for me. Not quite faceroll, but punishing if people don't follow the tactics.

I've not bothered at all with dungeons all expansion until now; I've only just attained my 1000 VP achievements! Daily ZA/ZG was too mindnumbing and painful, the daily heroics took years to complete with wipes upon wipes... They were more chores than anything. I desperately hope they do dungeons along these lines in the future; the daily heroic is actually fun!

The last boss in End Time... I can't think up a word to describe it.

It seems to the better your gear, the less problems you have with the new heroics. Down in the lower end of the gear, you get all sorts of people that just don't know what there doing or just act stupid.

That's the same as it's always been. Groups with really low dps can be quite painful, which is what I was talking about earlier.

The truth is ugly. :/
