Blizz would never get rid of petopia
heck it uss petopia to know what hunters want, look at cataclysm, they looked at the wishes for pets in this forums and it made it for us.
Really I think they use petopia for information

This issue isn't about Blizzard or Petopia, really. It's about the larger implications.

Yea, Blizz vs. Petopia is an example that we can all understand-- it is far bigger, say, you and i both use Magistream Ruby, that would be most likley shut down completely due to all the content on there since its not based around a game but rather a forum that hosts a collection game, same as dragon cave. Magistream relies heavily on the forums for selling, buying, trading, raising the creatures so they would have no choice but to end it cause people wouldnt be able to raise their pets and would stop coming there and stop donating money for creatures which they need to survive (im pretty sure the donations upkeep the site and pay the official staff that runs and creates the sprites.. dunno tho).

Dragon Cave is very much the same way, we rely heavily on using external fan click-sites to enter our codes in and have the creatures grow up before they die (since the cave has life spans for eggs and hatchlings).... we wouldnt have facebook, twitter, fan sites, Deviant Art, Youtube, anything where something could very easily become a source of copyright infringement. I doubt these sites would remain up by grandfather clause but if they were to-- then any content coming in after the bill is officially passed and recognized that was infringing (law-breaking) could land you in seriously hot water if your reported/caught.

This is for everyone in the US, everyone who is not using a USA IP Address isnt restricted like this because no other countries are listed in that bill, so i can post pictures of Magistream or World of Warcraft stuff since i live in Canada, but someone who lived in California would be breaking the law if they did that.

I think anyways this is how im understanding things.. Please correct me if ive made any mistakes in my explanation ^^;;

Well if you want to talk copyright infringement sites like DA allready are breaking copyright by letting people swap money for drawings of copyrighted characters.

I honestly don't think they could even hire enough people to attempt to even think about enforcing this >.<

I wish it were, Royi. All of us wish this was just some funny hoax. But sadly it's more real than the very earth you walk upon.

You severely underestimate the government. They can do it. Watch V for Vendetta. They could do that very thing if not worse. Or hell...just look at Cuba.

There was a women in my state who record companys attempted to make an example of. Hah, just wikipedia'd the case. But yeah there would be instances of this unfortunatly. Seriously though, 1.5 million dollars for 24 songs? (it was reduced to 54,000, but they're still appealing etc..)

I strongly believe that if such bill comes to pass, that the US would experience one of (if not THEE) biggest riots it has ever seen. The internet has become far to importand to the average person. If this bill were to pass, there would be alot of angry people, alot of deaths, violence, damages...

This bill seeks to stop one of the most important things that people have, and that is the freedom of speech.

Even peolpe outside of the states would be drastically affected by this bill. Everything is connected. World Wide Web.

Not to mention suicide rates with probably increase over there

Do you realize how many people found friends in the internet using certain fandoms and such?
in real life they might be the "Losers" that dont have any friends.
the internet could of saved their lives that way, it did with mine.
