Does Petopia need a new theme?

Hmm, if we're thinking about zones as a theme then Sholazar Basin might be a good one. It's a lush environment filled with beasts of all sorts (among a few favourites), and just the tropical sort of jungle atmosphere lends itself well to a pet site in my opinion.

I'd say Un'Goro instead, as it's the less visited one out of the two jungle craters. Just like the SBs, Sholazar seems to be getting way too much attention these days, leaving Un'Goro with its ninja devilsaurs in the background.

I'd propose an Un'Goro devilsaur. ^^

Heehee, yes Un'Goro is certainly awesome. My main reason for Sholazar was just that it had better picturesque opportunities and such, but I agree with you...the old crater deserves more attention. (and Devilsaurs ftw \m/)

What about dragonhawk as the mascot? They're really pretty, some of the prettiest beasts in the game in my opinion. That, and they're very uncommon. I've yet to see other hunters with them honestly.

Well the reason I suggested the beige scorpid is that I know Mania likes them. I think if we start discussing what's the prettiest/coolest/best looking pet, we'll have 150 suggestions before the end of the hour.

I agree though, the dragonhawks are beautiful.

Eh, I kinda don't like the idea of having a specific pet be the mascot, but that's just me.

With P. Dawg being the mascot, it's not narrowing down a certain pet or anything. Not that I think anyone actually makes any type of judgment based on the site mascot, but still.

Then again, no one but the people who prowl around here will understand why the heck the mascot is a prairie dog...Unless that's your plan. Tempt people to look for answers so you can corrupt them!

I was thinking the same, P.Dawg is a great joke for people that have been on the forums long and/or are in the guild, but the petopia website is used by a far larger audience.

I'm in favour of keeping Mazz too, I guess I just read it as Mania wanting an entirely fresh start. Of course you can make over the look of the site to the point that it'll look entirely fresh and still use Mazz.

I'm not wild about Un'goro as a theme because that's too much green for me... But eh, that's just me. ^.^ And as for the mascot? Yeah, I'd stick with Mazz. You should totally make each page of Petopia have Mazz in a different part of the background. ^.^

With all the nays on P. Dawg, I think a red crab would work for a summer theme. Get him a beach to hang out on, and he definitely needs a little hat.

Well P. Dawg doesn't make sense as a site mascot or anything. It's just a little fun thing that occurred with forum members, Petopia as a website is sort of separated and used by a multitude of WoW players who would have no idea what it was.
