Stay a troll or no?

This is probably going to be long winded so prepare yourself *teeheehee* Ok so I've encounter a bit of a problem with my horde main Rexiah whom I love. She was created in my image in a sense and created when things weren't the best in my life. Fast forward a couple years and come to now. Things are MUCH better and I'm a lot happier. The issue came about when I started planning transmog sets and looking at them in a viewer. My troll gal Rexiah NEVER looked happy. I did my best to ignore it. Then started seeing it in game. Never a smile, smirk ............ nothing. Straight faced, normal eyes just .............. bleh. Same in my mobile armory 3D. No matter what emote she was doing not a stitch of happiness appeared on her face. This really needled at me and has since. I've tried changing her look in game by spending gold at the salon spending quite a bit of gold on different hair styles and colors even changing tusks. Then the idea came of a paid appearance change but why pay for something that I can check on another server by just creating a new toon and looking at the creation screen. I spent over an hour mulling over each look only to finally come to the conclusion that regardless the facial look didn't get happier and in some cases looked worse. So then came the thought of a race change. But once again I was back to thinking what race could I change to. For starters NO BLOOD ELVES. I already have a goblin & tauren huntress. I'm not all that fond of the undead regardless of how happy one looked. So then I came to orcs. I started once again playing on the character creation screen on my second server Bloodhoof and decided to roll a orc huntress over there named "Rexiah" and see how it felt. I really liked her. Her face seemed happy and she just felt natural. I'm still torn though. Race change or no???? Figured I'd get some outside opinions.

I do have the concern that my pets suddenly won't "fit" anymore if the race change happens but that's a risk I am willing to take if it means I'm happy with Rexiah again.

Another thought I've had is to have a fellow guild member create the exact toon on Nesingwary and stand my pets next to her and check it out. That way I can see.
What you guys/gals think???

Edit: After some looking and trying pets next to "tester" the decision is made. Rexiah will now be an Orc huntress.

All I can say to this is, I had a Troll Mage....kinda had the same issue you are having. I like trolls and all...but the gal's can look way too serious. Switched her to a female orc, Ive never regretted it.

As far as my horde warlock is concerned though, she looks good as a troll. =P

*nod* I know what you mean as well. I've never been a fan of that particular female troll face, even though it's the one most used. It may be the 'prettiest' out of all the options, but it's completely...vapid. I prefer the angry faces myself, but in your case I think the female orc sounds like a really good idea. They're awesome characters, and have much more expression in their faces. I really like the one you chose and have up there in the screenies.

As much as I love trolls, I do agree that we females have one decent face and it's so... blank. Doesn't help that we never blink.

However, the orc face you choose looks blank to me as well. Females orcs have more decent, pretty faces that are more expressive, so play around with your options more before and if you decide to race change.

I like the one you have posted for orc. Sili used to be orc and they are fun to play, and that is one of my fav. looks for them.

Out of all orc faces for females, that one is the happiest looking one to me, everything else is well-worn, angry, barbaric, wretched grins that look like they've curled their lips inwards... and i do agree, the face you chose is also the face of my troll Rinzaak, god do i ever regret using that face, i wish i went with Xakaal's troll face, she looked like a true hunter, Rinzaak is kinda just.. eh..

For the race changing and wondering if your pets will match, no, not all will match, but some will open up for you, perhaps different colors of your existing pets or new pets entirely, some of the ones you have will still be very close, im fairly sure, seeing your demon dog and then quickly changing to the orc, with perhaps the right armor, you'll both continue to be happy companions to eachother

I love the orc! Looks a lot like Teigan did when she was an orc. Same face and hair color, so maybe I'm a bit biased Excellent choice

If you think you'll enjoy the character more, I say go for it.
