Look @ Swifty for example. Razor sponsors him, and there is even rumor that they played a role in getting him un banned.
I believe if you can believe out of nothing an explosion (big bang) happened then how far fetched can god be?

One of the top guilds <For the Horde> has decided to quit the game.

http://manaflask.com/en/article/1429/fo ... f-warcraft
It has been on the horizon for quite a while now, and due to the temporary ban from World of Warcraft and the even earlier Early Access to Star Wars: The Old Republic, happened earlier than expected: The vast majority of the German World of Wacraft top Guild For the Horde decided to leave the World of Warcraft after seven years. We're not going to see them taking part in the delayed 4.3 progression race on the upcoming Wednesday, when their bans are going to expire right before the new Raid Lockout begins.
A big part of For the Horde turns away from World of Warcraft. How did it come to this? Lots of our members are demotivated to play WoW due to various reasons, I don't want to go into details why. If you want to know exactly why, you should get in touch with the players directly. The ban a few days back did result in finalizing the decision for a lot of players and with the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic, there's a very interesting alternative going to be released next week. (continued in link above)
Anyone else besides me thinking, rage quit?

Honestly, not really....

A lot of raiders I know are quitting, or at least just don't care much anymore. Seven years is a long, long run for a game. The ones I know weren't banned or anything. They just feel raiding has nothing much to offer anymore. It is getting easier and easier, and they don't feel it is much of a challenge. 'Same old, same old' basically.

Some might be rage-quitting, but on the other hand, a lot were just hanging around until Star Wars, at least the ones I know.

I have many friends going to Star Wars. A new game, a new thrill, a new adventure, and new challenges! No matter how many boss fights, etc WoW comes up with, it's just not 'new' for them anymore and the thrill is gone.

I wish For The Horde the best of luck!

Ive been reading up with alot of the replies to them leaving on other forums / threads and there is ALOT of talk going on I guess about their "timing" to quit. Though as far as I can tell a large majority believes they'll be back. Which I could kinda see. Then again, maybe it was a bad move on Blizzard's part at the "time" of the banning that ended up with alot of people's decisions to move on. Who knows really. To me, still seems like a bit of a rage quit. Heh.

I'm voting ragequit... though SWTOR does offer an excuse. If there hadn't been somewhere TO go, they probably wouldn'tve done it, but being able to move to a new game and thus (as far as game-playing enjoyment goes) not suffer any sort of penalty for doing so meant a lot more of them were willing to do it. If SWTOR -hadn't- been out there, being banned would've stung a lot more.

That said... I am expecting SWTOR to fail to be All That And A Bag of Chips like everyone is expecting and collapse like every other "wowkiller" like Warhammer, EvE, Rift, Aion.... sure, people will go play it for 4-5 months, and it will probably even continue to do pretty well on a modest scale, but... yeah. Free-to-play in a year, I bet.

I wouldn't say it's a ragequit. They were on the fence about which way to go and since FTH didn't have as much reason to stay, due to ending Cataclysm on a sour note. They could still come back, of course, since it was only a series of temporary bans, but they have every reason to want a clean start elsewhere, you know? That doesn't make it a ragequit.

I can't truly speculate about how TOR will do, but I *will* say that I've seen more people I know from WoW checking it out than any of the other MMO competitors (Rift, Warhammer, Aion, etc.). Whether people will stay or not is hard to say.

TOR has an inherent fanbase, which is something that the other games don't have. But gamers are a fickle and tempestuous bunch and I've heard that the actual PLAY is rather lacking (I admit to having not touched it since they're platform elitists and don't want my filthy apple-tainted lucre). Still, people I know and trust have said 'it's shiny, but...' which is pretty much what they said about Aion too.

Honestly, it's a disappointment to -me- since instead of offering all of the genuinely interesting aliens out in the SW universe, they stuck you with pink humans, red humans, blue humans, white humans with tentacles... just really REALLY disappointing from a conceptual standpoint.

I was disappointed about that too...at first. What you don't get in variety of races, you get in customization of your character's appearance. I got more attached to each of the few characters I made than I ever did with my WoW characters. There are fewer paths to choose from because you get a more personalized feel on each of those paths.

TOR will definitely not appeal to everyone, but for those who prefer character-based storylines, it's a really nice change of pace. That's different than Aion, which was just another grind, from what I heard.

I don't think it's a ragequit either. My guild wasn't affected by the ban or knew of the exploit until after they fixed it, but half of my guild is leaving for Star Wars. Simply because they are interested in the new game and WoW just isn't as fun as it used to be. Unlike the other "wowkillers" this game is coming out at just the right time when WoW is basically killing itself just from old age.

I think maybe some ragequit but leaving to go to SWTOR I can really see. most everyone I know from WoW or irl friends who play WoW are leaving for SWTOR. So it seems like it's at least partially legit. Either way, they deserved their bans.
