I had no choice but to go for the tallstrider first. :3 I have a purple tallstrider and I had to have a matching mount for him. ^_^

It took me nearly a year but thanks to selling tons of cut gems when LFR hit, and with the potion/flask donations from my other half, I got myself a sandstone drake made Then I wrapped it and gave it to him so he could send it to me

Lucky you Samskeyti, I am determined to find my own recipe as my main, my hunter is an alchemist. Grars on the bear, the Tallstrider and the Talbuk. I really want a Black Talbuk but have naff all tokens and there's barely anyone at Halaa to get them off of.

Since my success with the North Wind and the Time lost drakes I've gained more champion seals and acquired the Argent Warhorse.
I myself bought the Darkmoon Dancing Bear :3 I adore it, it's my "go to" ground mount for the moment! I love her purple eyes the most I do think the bear looks more feminine compared to my other bears, possibly because my other bears all have that armour stuff on them.

Will upload screen shots later, think they're on the other computer.

I also took advantage of Blizz's holiday sales and bought myself the Celestial Steed/Sparkle Pony for myself :3


Dunno why some dislike this mount, I think it's quite charming. Also yay flying horse with wings! Although the ends of the wings are a bit flappy =/ xD

After what seemed like a month and a half of constant Skadi kills I finally collect my Blue Proto Drake! This was a couple days ago now but i'm still thrilled with it!


Well... in the excitement I grabbed the reins before taking a screenie so uhh they're in the bag...




The reason i'm so damn happy about this is because with a droprate VERY close to the Raven Lord I thought it wouldn't take so long or be infuriating. I was wrong on both accounts although you could say i'm lucky to get it in that space of time anyway.
The first time I did the run I managed to beat Skadi and his minions with a bit of hassle but I could do it anyhow... Not the next 5 tries though. What had happened the first time around is that I had taken an elixir of agility or something good like that beforehand and forgotten. The next few tries failed because I couldn't deal with the adds, got frustrated and left it for a while.
I came back with a slightly better ilvl and lots of potions/flasks/elixirs and the process was long and annoying but I could do it. As I got more confident in dungeons my gear got better and therefore the Skadi encounter got a lot easier but the man would not dorp his drake no matter what! In the beginning when it was still difficult for me to run this boss fight it was very soul destroying because of the amount of concentration, difficulty and near death experiences I had to go through to beat him and then see the usual silver and a blue drop.

So encounter after encounter after encounter... Most of you here have been there either with a companion pet drop, mount drop or armour/weapon drops, you know it's annoying and rubbish when it just. Wont. Drop. I began to hate the encounters, i'd usually still have to use a fair bit of concentration and found it infuriating when on the way through UP I didn't make the small jump in order to avoid some mobs (in the raven's watch bit, running on the snow on the left) and usually died there. In the fight before I got to the ilvl I am at now I hated Skadi even more because his adds were hellish. When you think it's safe to go onto the next group you see the idiots running out from the side and down to meet you... then Grauf and his ice breath if you're not careful -.- It was such a hassle to time my heals and get my pet at the right place to get through the fight but it did get easier. Unfortunately by the time it became a cakewalk I hated the fight immensely.

On the day it dropped however I was in a foul mood for another reason. I have been running HoT dungeons for a while, like most of you I am sure. At this point I was only needing the boots, Windrunner's Bow and the Thornwood Staff to drop then i'll be content to just save up VP. I had run Well of Eternity. The Staff dropped. The FIRST EVER TIME I HAD SEEN IT. There were no druids or other hunters in the group so I was really happy to be there. Rolled Need of course. I noticed an unnaturally long time for the last person to roll but everyone else had went Greed which is normal and the decent thing to do.

I didn't get my staff. A warrior also rolled Need and ninja'd out right away after getting the highest number >:@ I have not seen the staff since then.

So enter Jezzebelpop in FOUL mode, I remembered I hadn't done Skadi yet so went in and rolled through, I was so mad nothing stood in my way... until i missed the jump again and died. Yay more bad mood.

But BUT it DROPPED The reins of the Blue Proto Drake xD!!! Totally made up for the staff in a million ways! XD xD XD xD



I also recently got into pvp which i though was never going to happen, but because of the xmas holiday achievements I had to enter a bg as an xmas gnome and get kills, this was highly fun so I keep going into bgs and do AWFULLY in them. Another revelation to me was the vendor which converts justice into honour points, I do more dungeons than BGs so i've taken full advantage of that and yesterday I purchased the Black War Tiger! Again pics will have to come later but that leaves me with only 4 more mounts to get for my Mountain of Mounts achievement!!

Finally! Got my newer hunter the last of the Outlands rep mounts. I ended up leveling her up to 72 before I got it.

While studying yesterday, I decided to log on and sit my character in Storm Peaks. I've only seen TLPD once, and that time I watched a mage kill him (a very gracious mage, though, so I can't complain), but hey… there's always a tiny chance, right? Besides, this character has got to have him. I've had dream after dream about it. It's fate.

However, MY fate is that I must take notes on the economy of the US after the Civil War.

So I sit. And I write. The lake spawn point is empty except for the random checks of Mr. Rude Hunter, who had pulled out his Skoll right in front of me just to set off my NPC scan. (I responded with "Uh oh, we got a badass in here" and he left me alone.)

And I chat, and I sit, and I write. Then I hear NPC scan and go "Herp derpin', Vyrago- WHAT" and, off in the distance, flapping his pretty wings and heading down towards me from the north, is a pretty golden dragon. Now, I'm only 76, but he only had a few seconds of life after that. Thank the gods, I had decided to put a Flexweave Overlay on my cloak the day before. That dragon was MINE.





(Mr. Rude Hunter came back just in time to see me fly off. I feel pretty bad for him.)

On Tuesday evening, I was late to login and nearly forgot to do so. I also forgot that my guild had scheduled an OS25 run. So they've been waiting for me in the raid instance, invite and summon me when we finally log on, then we will Sartharion and our guildleader wins the drake. She promptly trades it to me, as she knows how I've been complaining about never winning mount rolls and how nice it would go with my blue rogue Bloodfang recolor.

I can't believe I wasn't subbed to this thread already! I love reading people's mount stories and although I prefer to make my own personal thread for my own mount hunting and collecting, I'll be stopping by here every now and then to say grats to all you lucky sods! (;

So today I get on a bit late after watching a document and although I was planning on doing lunar festival stuff first I had this nagging feeling that I NEEDED to get to kara- like right NOW. So I ask around until I get a guildie to help me make a raid group before he logging off.
I get to kara and expect a smooth run seeing how I had gotten the hang of soloing it and usually only die once on trash. Things didn’t go so well and i died four times and had the boss bug twice. (70 are squishy. Dx)Just before I pull for the third time I think about how ironic it would be if the mount dropped since the past two times I had a horrible mount run I had been rewarded with a mount at the end. When I finally kill them, (and survive by the skin of my teeth.) I go to loot and lo and behold….





I have named her Nightwish since my playlist randomly chose a song from that band every single time I would go in to farm her. (Freaky right?) Her nick name is Glue though since my friend who no longer plays liked to fondly refer to the horse as such. xD

Seems that lately, I've been extremely lucky.

I managed to get the Drake from VP only after 5 runs which my girlfriend helped me with <3. She passed all her really important exams lately, so I got her an Amani Dragonhawk:



Anyway with all the luck I've had with mounts, I've had a terrible time in RL lately. So to make myself feel better, I got myself this:

After 3 years of procrastination I have my Violet Proto-Drake. :3 I basically said 'screw that' the first year the achievement came out...then on the second year I just casually completed the easier ones. Finally this year I noticed how close I was so I finished the remaining. xD

Bit late posting this, but I was in no state at all to do it yesterday LOL. I was dying.



I burst out crying and stood there next to the boss for about 10 minutes before HS'ing to mount up on him. Oh, his name is Sadcor (Chaoyll <3 xD) as it was her and her boyfriends 2 year anniversary on the night I got it.

Still so happy and on a high from this. Karma has been kind to me!
