B) They can't put them with the lions and tigers the zoo has. It's simple really the zoo only has African lions (the every day type if you will) and can't and wont mix them with the White and Barbary lions. No zoo wants hybrids.

Actually, this is a little wrong. First of all, white lions are, as far as I know and have been able to find out, not actually a separate species. They are just a rare (but becoming not so rare in captivity) colour morph of regular lions (Like how panthers are actually just a colour morph of jaguars that are all dark/black). As such, "hybrid" wouldn't really happen. Also, if the Barbary lion is actually a Barbary lion (quick web search shows that purebreeds may actually be extinct), apparently there are breeding programs out there that are trying to take the "most pure" Barbary lions, so those with the most authentic Barbary lion genetics, to sort of resurrect the species. So while you wouldn't want unplanned breeding with any random lion, if it weren't for the "maiming" (how I see declawing and defanging something like that...) it very well could have been entered into a breeding program if the genetics were suitable.

Now, that said, your other two points are MORE than valid... If a zoo doesn't have room, it shouldn't take them. And there's no WAY these animals should be put in with others in their condition. Some level of fight and play is natural, and without it's defense mechanisms, the other animals will likely "learn" that they can pick on those ones. As sad as it is, from what little I know, I have to agree that euthanasia sounds like the best option...

On that note.. it makes me REALLY angry to hear that people would do that to such beautiful animals like that. Really angry. And it's likely places like that that give zoos a bad reputation for all those "animals deserve to be free!" activists... There ARE some reputable zoos. But... These things aren't pets... Don't make them "safe" because you don't have staff that knows how to ACTUALLY care for them or be around them..

The crazy thing is it's not like you can go to a vet here and get your pet cat declawed! How the hell did he get a lion? I think it says so on his wiki page but well I think you know why no one can use that atm.

I'm petty sure he only got them done so he could go near them..... I do remmber someone getting mualed to death there >.> Dunno if that cat was declawed or what all I remmber is that it was shot and people got angry at that!

Is going to have to give Tamika back to the zoo, shes getting sick being here due to the fluxuating tempatures and stepdad has gone from treating her nicely and having fun feeding her through the bars to saying that shes better off dead then treated and she BELONGS TO THE ZOO NOT MYSELF BUT I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR HER HEALTH. Hes picking at my own affairs and completely running the poor thing down like she was garbage and i love her dearly. I got her a new cage, i ordered a wheel and a hammock and blanket for her to give her comfort and keep her warm in the winter but without treatment and proper tempature control and relocation in the house, shes going to have a full blown lung infection and she'll die horribly.

With his reaction im just going to say fck it and give the zoo the cage, food, bedding, hammocks/blanket, and wheel so that she will be able to live the rest of her life as she does now instead of being downgraded and tossed in with a bunch of other rats where she might end up becoming snake food. I'll just go to the zoo more often to see her and train her for my project. I hate how he treats my pets, he always got so pissed off at lucky and didnt give a fcking deal about why he was sick and concentrated on yelling at him and blocking him out of the livingroom and cleaning his precious fcking carpets.

He only treats Janie well, so far at least, because we adopted her together. She's adopted in my name, i made sure of that so i could claim her no matter what, but he was there with me when i adopted her so he feels like shes also his and not just mine.

edit at 6:30am: way to fcking cold out there, way to fcking cold, going out there is not humane by any means for Tamika for the period of time it takes to reach the bus stop and also the time it takes to get from my final bus stop to mcdonalds, not counting the windchill. im not gonna have a chance to take her till tuesday ><

First animal planet does the big foot show, I get it kind of like blah you can sorta pass that one off. But now there's a show on about vampires draining energy from people. It's so ridiculous.

Hes gone now.. cause of sickness, a slow growing tumor inside his intestines. Vet gave him a physical and found a irregular mass between his kidneys that was half the size of my fist. I held him till the very end.

You did everything that could be done, and more - some people make that final decision prematurely, but you tried everything, and when there was nothing left to try you had the strength and the love to be right there with him.

He's in a better place now.

I don't normally do this, but I'm still a little ticked, so I need to vent some.

Did a LFR group with my friend-its the only raiding we get to do as we are a guild of two (plus all of our alts)-and we did the first half tonight. Things were okay-but really, really slow. All but about four of the DPS in the group were hitting at under 20k-which is fine, I have no worries about that, everybody has to learn and gather the gear at some point right? We can't all magically land in the group with all the top equipment and such after all.

So we have a tank-doing what tanks do, but this one doesn't bother to mark the mobs for the newbies he just keeps going in, and we get to the slime boss. Another person calls out which slime to switch to-because this tank is just so good he doesn't have to after all-and hardly anybody switches. We of course wipe. We all get rezzed, people are chewing out the people who didn't move and so on, I'm trying to explain the fight. A mage gets pissy, pulls the boss again and we wipe yet again. Now the people in the raid are leaving, fed up with it all. The tank states saying he is going to kick everyone who's DPS is under 20k.

And this drama king announces in raid chat that I'm the first that needs to be kicked. I say excuse me, as I'm a little incredulous. The tank tells me that my DPS sucks. Uh yeah it sucked in that last fight, as I stopped when it became obvious that we were not organized and we were going to wipe yet again-half the people were dead by the time I stopped attacking (and our healers kept healing lol, but thats another story).

Thing is? The entire time up to that point I was third in DPS for the bulk of the raid and the top hunter in the group till another came in who was better geared then me, then I fell into the 4th/5th spot depending on my cooldowns. Finished the raid with me as second in DPS once we cleared out about half the people in there-including the old tank who got vote kicked after he tried to kick me.

I know it shouldn't bother me-but it ticks me off when people get into a group go psycho at people who don't know what they are doing and then blame others for their ineptitude-fairly certain he wanted to kick me because I was doing the job that most tanks do-actually trying to explain the fight to the people who didn't know it.

I keep flashing back to that ultimate meltdown video about the kid throwing a tantrum about his account being deleted.

*grumble growl* Its a game-there is no need to get rude and obnoxious when other people don't spend their entire lives doing nothing but gathering gear and being the 'best' at every aspect of the game.

Endless paperwork, hospital bills, phone calls, managing medicene now it's 8 pills a day and i still feel like crap,dr visits and when you do feel good enough you spend most your time doing things like preparing paperwork for the next round of dealing with all that crap or catching up on housework that can't wait or trying to shovel snow. I feel like I need a vaction from not working

Uggggghhhh.

Normally, I don't mind romance in role-play, but lately it has been driving me nuts and it's not even MY romance!

One, is this pair of just....silly, silly people. They're like...irritatingly "kawaii" females that are just...ugh. They mean well. They're nice and all, but EVERY SINGLE one of their characters is screwing the other person's. And they have to TALK about it all the time. All. The. Time.

Every bloody one of their characters is humping the other person's and I am constantly drowned in a stream of how much 'this character' loves 'this character', or how they hate rough sex except with his looooovveerrr and such nonsense.

Really. I. Do. Not. Care. At all. Why is that fact they're 'married' or screwing such a huge point of the RP? I mean, really. NONE of my characters are doing ANYTHING with theirs, but when we do chat (both OOC and IC) all I get to hear is gushing about their "cute" couples, most of which are silly Mary-Sue characters that don't even make sense!


The other pair that is just driving me nuts are two males that are playing two male lovers. I'm fine with that. Sexual preferences don't bother me at all, BUT they are both YOUNG (like 16, 17) and are like....the most...well, fruity people I ever met. They squeal, they lisp, they are like...bad tv gay. I feel awful for thinking it, but I know quite a few gay people (male and female) and it annoys me for them that people act so...silly. They are horribly just...the kind of gay you see in the most silly of movies or bad spoofs, etc. and it drives me nuts because I'm tired of hearing 'haaaay gurrrl' in this fake high-pitched voice.

If that isn't annoying enough, they play their CHARACTERS like that. They run around, giggle, do each other's hair, and just act so darn silly despite the fact the characters are supposed to be ancient/older. Even more annoying than that is the fact that they are constantly blowing off EVERYTHING to go ERP and then telling everyone about it...constantly.

Really. I. Do. Not. Care. I do not care to hear bad puns about getting 'sucked into some fun' or other such nonsense! I don't! I am already pissed off that you've blown me off completely for the past two weeks for this RP you said you want to do... Don't make it worse by telling me constantly that you're blowing me off for ERP with some little wannabe femme boy.

That just...pisses me off.

Again, NO problem with sexual preferences of any kind. I just hate ridiculous, ridiculous people that are just...embarrassing to be around because you sit there thinking "good grief, how old are you? Do you really think that's adorable?"

Raun: a bit of input from someone who's been there.

Sometimes, young gays just have no idea HOW they are supposed to act. The get caught up in the acceptance of finally finding an identity to share with others, conforming to a stereotype which they may not realize is working against them (and which may not even truly represent who they themselves are). But the idea of acceptance from another is a very strong one.

When I was 16, I was already kind of effeminate. I was working to become a concert pianist, I didn't play sports, I was thin, really non-athletic. So all the other gay people I met simply assumed that I was "that type". I was basically coerced into taking on the "femme young guy" role. It was a means of being accepted, for me. I didn't see anything wrong. People around me were happy, and that was all I saw.

years later, I realized that that really wasn't me.
I actually started working out heavily, playing sports (yes, all the while, working away in the classical music scene.. there are muscle-jocks in the classical music scene too), and revising my mannerisms.

I will never be "chuck norris" macho. (god only knows I wouldn't want to be anything like that micro-brain)

But I'm not a screaming queen either. I'm just "me", now.

Anyway, all that to say, sometimes, that behaviour in young gay guys is just a means of growing through identity pains.
In much the same way a lot of teens go through goth phases, or valley girl phases, or any of the countless other teen stereotypes.

I'm not reprimanding you at all. It's actually OK to be annoyed by that type of behaviour. But maybe this might help you understand one reason why they could be acting this way? I guess that could attenuate the "annoyingness".

I know a few gays who are basicly the stereotypical type screeming queen gay (and some straights too ). You get used to them but their still bloody annoying as hell most of the time XD

Now I personally have anything wrong with people like that it's just when they got oo far that's all and they don't of course need to be gay to do that but most of the people I know off who do it are.

My rant? I guess it's when those types go TOO far IE being superduper loud in a place where you should not be so loud (like a supermarket or funeral home yes thats happend to me :S) or are jokingly doing something to someone who may not find it as "lols" like grabing ones bum for a joke and then you tell them nicely to stop or lower your voice ( Inside voices! whoo!) and they go bat shit on you! ( Yeah sorry mate I can still call that sexual assualt no matter who you like in the bed)

Of course that could go for anyone of any gender etc etc so really that rants not just aimed at gays XD

EDIT: another rant when people RP as a half breed and then have babies! Yeah Hybrids useally can't have babies so your half orc/elf anit gunna have babies. I know theres that orc,dreani,human in the comics but that's just fucking dumb >.>

I agree. And as they've evolved on three different planets, I don't even think that hybrid should be possible. Elf/troll hybrids are probably the most likely.

I can understand that, Sukurachi. I don't hate them or anything. I'm just incredibly annoyed. And one of them is super, super vain and I think he thinks what he does is incredibly adorable and he's not afraid to say it. He does it mostly for attention. His 'partner' is actually much more normal and pleasant without him around, which should say something.

I think that annoys me even more than being 'completely fruity'. They're doing it for the same reason 'gamer chicks' bat their eyelashes and use those sweet voice and all but jiggle their boobs at guys. For attention, to get their way, etc. etc. That drives me nuts as well.

I prefer people to just be themselves. I can tolerate a loud, blunt, semi-rude but honest person far better than someone trying to manipulate me with 'cuteness' to get their way. The constant need to run off and ERP is annoying as well, though I assume that's a young person thing. It doesn't make it any less annoying to get blown off day after day though!

I think most serious WoW roleplayers highly disapprove of Med'an the hybrid Gary Stu.

As for the stereotypical gay behavior in role-play, I think some players think they MUST act like that if their character is gay, especially if they are playing a character that is a different gender or sexual preference as themselves in real life. I remember a huge topic about this on Warcraft Sues where a teenage girl was roleplaying a gay male character and based the whole character around "I'm gay, teehee. I love fashion and hair and hit on every guy I see and OMG I HATE ALL WOMEN THEY ARE ICKY!" Really, she just didn't know any better. Being gay isn't a whole lifestyle, it's just a sexual preference. I have a male troll I roleplay and he's gay, but no way acts as a stereotypical effeminate guy. He's a tough warrior and acts just like any other male troll. He just prefers to have another male troll as a partner over a female.

Even non roleplayers like me haaaaate that kid. It's the superman complex. He's too strong to make things interessting in a fight plus he's an annoying kid going thru puberty....who cares... Sigh they need to make more comics like the one Varian was in.
