Horn toss, chimera breath and worm aoe?

Unread post by Ana »

Is there a way to put these attack on auto, so the pet uses them automaticlly?

I just tamed a lovely beige chimera on Kahlua, but i cannot get it to use the aoe breath automaticlly, and i cannot turn it on auto on the pets ability page in the spellbook

that's strange...
all of my pets have all of their abilities automatically cast.
the only one I turn off is that annoying stealth ability.

I don't think I've ever bothered to do them manually.

are you clicking on the spell icon properly? if I recall, it's a right click to activate/deactivate (please correct me if I'm wrong).

All exotic pets' extra abilities are manual-cast only. There's no way to put them on auto-cast.

does that include the Spirit beasts' heal ability?

because my kitty has been casting that without my help for the longest time.

*Headdesk* I knew I forgot something
EDIT: Forget it xD The above-mentioned abilities, plus core hound's Ancient Hysteria, are manual-cast.

One alternative is to roll active cast spell into macros with your own spells, in cases where they seem to go together.

For example I believe you could combine horn toss with intimidation into /castsequence (or include it with scatter shot, etc etc)

And they can go off together instead of via castsequence if you want, since they come from different sources and don't share the same CD.

Just a suggestion.

I the breath was on auto cast the poor chimaera would never move :( it would just sit there all day channeling its aoe...

False, the chimaera can move and channel its aoe breath.

What I did was macro my chimaera's breath to my multi shot. That way when I'm using it for large groups I don't have to worry about throwing in my pets ability to my rotation. And when I'm not using my chimaera it just functions as normal. I tried with a worms aoe but it didn't work as well since worms have a cooldown for their ability.

Here's the macro I used:

#showtooltip: Multi-Shot
/cast [nochanneling] Froststorm Breath
/cast Multi-Shot
Rejoined the hunt after a lengthy break... feels good!

Well as stated as others MOST Exotic Pet Abilities are manual cast, however you can bind them to an AoE macro such as:

#showtooltip Multi-Shot
/use Multi-Shot
/cast [exotic ability here]

Of course take out the brackets and add things as you wish xD
