Trinket question
Re: Trinket question
The HWT is of questionable value to any hunter spec. Haste isn't a stat that hunters really need to specifically go looking for - we usually get more than enough of it through normal gearing and talents. If you spend Frost badges on that trinket instead of something like the reclaimed scarlet cloak or the starter T10 pieces, it's not really the most efficient use of your badges.
Also bear in mind that just about every DPS analyzer spreadsheet out there will model a stand-still fight...which means that they tend to over-value Haste. So what might seem really really good on the spreadsheet might not turn out to be so in actual gameplay if the reason the piece is so good is that it's dripping with Haste.

Right. The HWT is not *terrible* but there are far better uses for your 60 Frost badges. Which is to say the cloak, the belt, the tier pieces.... all better options. Even though Marksman are better off going with 2 piece T10/2 piece T9, if you absolutely positively have to spend the badges you'd be better going with 4 piece T10 of the 251 items over the HWT. Heck, buy Primordial Saronite and sell it, that's a better option right there, and buy the Darkmoon Card Greatness with the proceeds if you don't have it already.Tahlian wrote:The HWT is of questionable value to any hunter spec. If you are really having a hard time with getting trinkets, the pairing of DMC:G and Mirror Of Truth isn't bad and both are better than HWT. HWT is more a melee DPS trinket than for Hunters, there are no badge Hunter tokens unfortunately.

Re: Trinket question
Very helpful. Thanks guys.
Re: Trinket question
Should be the last thing you buy with your frost badges, if you still need a trinket by then. Work for your t10, cloak, etc first.

Just fyi, volley will not proc its effect. But for me its up most of the time on bossfights.
If you already have all your tier and cloak, then id say get it if it averages out to be better than what you have (I upgraded from mark of supremacy and noticed a good jump in deeps)

Lil, What does beast lore say about its armor rating?
...
ITS OVER 9000!!!!
Re: Trinket question
Chances are the reason it was a good upgrade from Supremacy was because you no longer needed all the Hit and were over the Hit cap, so that was lost itemization for which HWT made up.
