Second go at the Malefactor's eyepatch?

I read somewhere that if you had done these quests before Cataclysm, there was a chance that you might be able to do the quests again, because some of the older quests had reset after the launch. I just wanna check if anyone have tested this? Since it's such an "important" quest my hopes are very low, but until I get this confirmed I do have some hope

I haven't heard of the Outland quests resetting unfortunately, and with GM's not restoring old quest items, you might be out of luck.

I did go back and get it after the transmogrification opened up-but its been so long since I leveled my character, I cannot honestly say if I had already done the quest chain leading up to it while leveling her. Sorry if thats not much help. I can say it is still there and looks kickass with the fel armor set.

Yeah, I would definately go back to check, if only my account was active.. Will have to check next PTR though!
I know for a fact that I have done these quests though, so as I said, I don't have that high hopes of getting this... maybe next hunter..

To be quite frank it upsets me that they wouldn't restore old quest items. It seems rather assanine as they can check if you've finished quests and whatnot...and with this new feature you think you'd try to help people out, ya know?

Well, I do understand that they are probably flooded with these kind of requests now... but it would be great to have some vendor in the future where you can buy back old stuff or something. Maybe have unique-looks quest items become "replica" gear at the fair or something, shouldn't be that hard..
I mean, come on, you didn't really think transmogging could be happening when playing in TBC..

That's a really good idea Hesantia. I'm sure we'll see a lot of options come in the future pertaining to transmog. I hope they implement something like that, or at least some more options for regaining unique items that can no longer be acquired.

Yeah, exactly. I mean, great for the people who kept old stuff just because, but I for an example is a person whos bags are ALWAYS full, so some stuff had to go. I have kept a leather eyepatch, but to what use now? I can only use it with my pirate gear, and well, I prefer the hat/parrot thing actually....

They themselves know that transmogging is a huge success, so them adding more features is pretty certain I guess. I mean, they have to test stuff before they can know for sure if something will be popular or not, and then add stuff as they go along. (as the toggle enchant thing, but that's another thread, in the Transmog-forum)
