Could be because, you know, things evolve and change over the years (just like in real life) and because different video game companies have their own styles.

Well not really I've seen games/comics etc set in the same time with differnt styles. The ones in TOR look differnt to the ones in the comics set at the same time. Yes games have their own styles BUT they 90% of the time still have to keep to the look. More so in Starwars Lightsabers tend to look like lightsabers etc.

EDIT: it's a pet peeve I know but comeone Banthas don't change! XD

Nice, Royi!!! Glad I'm not the only one that obsesses over that stuff.

On a side note, our security key (aka authenticator) came in, so now I can see what the Security Key Vendor has for sale! Yayness!

I have to make myself do it, and with this character I just don't want to. I helped a Jedi, for crying out loud! I have no qualms killing people who deserve it, but when it comes to hurting innocents, it's just not in me. :( It makes me feel a little weird, though. Rattataki are from a very violent society, and here I am some sunshine-and-bunnies person. I guess I can say it's because I was a slave and didn't spend much time growing up in my peoples' society, and since I had to endure all that crap, I don't want to do the same to others. I dunno. I feel like I'm doing it wrong, though. :(

I like Khem Val, I think he's funny. :D He's so cute, always threatening to devour me and everyone else. Silly guy.
I'm generally in the same boat as you Rhy. I don't hurt innocents, but I figure I can compromise by killing any Jedi or Republic guy who gives me "attitude" when I first come in. I mean they dont even KNOW me and they treat me like a jerk? Off with their head I say
Funnily enough, my Sith assassin seems to have been building a firm friendship with Khem Val purely through bluffing everyone about what a badass he is. I mean, seriously...Rohi'den is this little short, scrawny pureblood Sith who got sent to the academy when his former owner made him angry, and he tossed him through a wall using the Force. (Said owner decided sending him to Korriban was better for the Empire and easier on the furniture than keeping him around. ;) ) Physical domination, not so much Rohi's thing. But between him and the Dashade, they seem to work together quite nicely, despite the fact that little Rohi seems to be making more Light Side choices than Dark Side ones. So when Khem Val calls him "little Sith," Rohi'den sees it as a term of endearment of sorts - after all, it's the truth. He is little! :D

He's been getting really irritated on Balmorra, though...took one of his few dips into the Dark Side when he had to go "rescue" the major's Sith son. It would seem Rohi'den does NOT like being blackmailed.

They have Fleet Passes for 1000 credits each. I know you have the 18 hour CD fleet pass, but these can be used anytime to send you back to the main city. I stocked up a couple just in case. Also I saw they have the Mouse Droid (comes with CE) for 25k and then some other customizing options that you may fancy :)

To gain a better gamplay experience, I actually disabled the Darkside/Lightside notifications when selecting dialoge options. I found it was having too much control over my choices (ehh i dont really want dark side points so i'll do this) sort of thing. Now I find myself picking more on what I would want to, regardless of its light side or dark side. I find much more freedom in selection by eliminating those little red or light blue notifications.

I did this, too!!! I also noticed that it was affecting my choices sometimes. Turning it off lets me pick the options that I want to pick, not the ones I make myself feel like I have to. I'm really glad they added this in as an option. It's something I wish they'd do in Mass Effect.

I have a question, you guys: do Sith Assassins still use things like lightning and such, or are many of their abilities melee from behind only? I'm wondering if I should pick a Sorcerer instead, since I've already got a melee Jedi Sentinel. I don't really want to be a full caster, though. I like the mix of melee and casting that I have now at level 7. For example, right now on strong enemies I'll use a quick lightning shock to open up, do the little force jump thingy to send them flying, zap them with lightning for a couple seconds, and then start wailing on them when they get back to me. So I suppose my question should be, which class and spec (if any) will allow me to use both melee and casting abilities, with an emphasis on melee since that's what I tend to like? Sorry if this is a noob question. I haven't played alts much, I pretty much strictly play my JS. :)

From my understanding of the Sith Inquisitor (Assassin AC), the Madness tree (which is the shared one) plays as a combination ranged/melee DPS, while the Deception tree plays like a regular melee (the only force move I see in their rotation is Shock, otherwise it's a bunch of melee attacks), and the Darkness tree is the tank tree.

Honestly, it wouldn't make much sense for an AC that uses a double-bladed lightsaber (and stealth) not to be somewhat melee focused. But yeah, from what I've read, the Madness tree plays kind of like what you're looking for, although I haven't personally tried it.

These might offer some help as well:

It's Jaesa. ;) I love Quinn, putting advances on him gives me the giggles. I look forward to getting Jaesa on my warrior; as much fun as Vette is, the idea of totally corrupting Jaesa just sounds like a lot of fun. I know my bf likes to have Jaesa tag along with him (he's tank spec), but I'm not sure if that's because she's his padawan and he married her, or if it's because he prefers her DPS over Vette's.

Mind if I ramble? I was thinking a bit about my Sith character and how I'm not "evil" like many Sith seem to be. The way I see it, she's emotional. She loves, she likes, she hates. It all depends on who she's talking to. I help innocent people, but when it comes to giant dbags (like that Harkun jerk), I have no qualms about either chewing them out or cutting them down where they stand. So I suppose I picture myself as being neither "Jedi" nor "Sith", but as someone who just does what she wants. Most of the time, I help people, so I don't doubt I'll be more on the light side. But I know I'm going to end up with dark side points at some point because of my mouth.

No shame in playing a Sith character that way, not all Sith have to be evil after all. :)

I love Vette, corrupting Jaesa was very fun but tbh shes not all that imo her dps compared to Vettes at least imo isnt the best. Vette inspired me to make a smuggler and be gunslinger because I love Vette. Surprisingly she still loves me even though I'm evil. I do let Jaesa out to play too though! And Quinn annoys me because well I peeked ahead a bit or rather got told what happens with him and yeah  .... Pierce is next for me, am curious about him and Broonmark is too cute imo.

Edit - Speaking of, anyone have an idea for a name for a twi'lek smuggler? I like Vette's name and her friend Taunt both are fem twi'leks. I want kind of a tough name.. I tried Rowdy and it was taken.

I like Quinn even though I've seen exactly what he does later on (boyfriend plays a juggernaut tank so I've seen a lot of the SW storyline already). Like, I'm actually excited for when Vy'ala hits that point to see how it will affect her as a character and her relationship with Quinn.

And there is definitely no denying Vette's awesomeness, I just love her personality. ^_^ The one thing I like about Jaesa compared to Vette is that (from watching my bf) Jaesa can stand and tank a mob fairly decently thus keeping one less mob from punching my face in, and she has some light AoE ability. I would assume Vette gets an AoE or two (correcting my previous statement, much like other "sniper" characters, Vette does indeed get two AoE abilities), but she's fairly squishy. Not that using Vette is bad, of course, just offering some perspective from what I've seen, which companion one prefers to use is their decision. :D I would assume the two women are roughly on par in DPS and it would just come down to your preference of using a ranged DPS or a melee DPS, I know on my bounty hunter I much preferred Gault over Torian so I'll probably end up preferring Vette to Jaesa if I'm not using Quinn.

As for Twi'lek smuggler names? Let's see:
Viper (What? I think of Vette as in Corvette so it's similar. :P)
Sassy (Nothing wrong with being bold about it. :P)
Lo'ki (or some other variation)
Hira
Pao'la (pronounced like pow-luh)
Darla
Iora (ee-or-uh or aye-or-uh)
Deedee
Ruska (roose-kuh)
Janey/Janie
Kalyl (kuh-leel)

And just to throw it out there, Vette is a nickname she made up for herself; her real name is Ce'na so you could always pick a more "traditional" sounding name (and no, I don't necessarily mean derived from like the Twi'lek language or anything) and then have him/her go by Rowdy as a nickname or something. :)

my smuggler is a sassy smartmouthed twi'lek called Ki'lin

I adore Corso .. undecided about weather to pursue a romance with him or not but he makes me giggle.

I'm mostly curious to see what Doc's like, but I doubt I'll pursue a relationship with him based off what I've heard.

My assassin will get Adronikos at some point, but I'm not sure what he's like and I don't really want to ruin it by reading too much. :)

Suffice it to say that when I first met Andronikos, I was pleasantly surprised by his demeanor (I was expecting something much worse for some reason). I look forward to re-leveling my now female sorcerer and gaining him as a companion so I can learn more about him (rerolled shortly after I got him). ^_^
